The Castle of Dracula, 1944 A.D.
After being introduced to vampire-hunter-hopeful Jonathan Morris and his knowledgeable friend Charlotte Aulin, head into Dracula's Castle. Run to the right and then drop down to find the Change Cube Relic, which lets you switch between Jonathan and Charlotte. Now jump up the platforms to obtain a Call Cube, which calls your partner to your side and lets him or her follow you. Call your partner now while you're standing on the switch here to lower the bridge ahead. Head right to the courtyard, then keep heading right until you can drop down and grab the Tome of Arms 1 and the the Short Sword. Equip these weapons, then take the lower-right exit to the first Save Room. Save your game to replenish your HP & MP, then head back out.
Take the top right exit this time and break through the pillars. When the Behemoth begins to chase you, turn and run, breaking through the remaining pillars to the dead end. Head through the wall the Behemoth busts through and claim the Knife, one of the game's sub-weapons. Save your game in the Save Room to the right, then leave and take the upper-left exit. Keep heading left, then jump onto the statue to nab the Wait Cube, which does what you would expect it does: it keeps a character waiting wherever you leave them. Leave Charlotte waiting on top of the statue and jump down. Push the statue to the left and have Charlotte jump to the ledge to grab the Raging Fire spell. Head left from here, through this room, and jump up into the next room. Take the Book of Spirits here, then return to the previous room. Take the upper-left exit to reach a Warp Room. Activate it by pressing UP, then leave the room.
Wind the Questgiver
Now take the bottom-right exit to meet the ghost, Wind, who will give you quests throughout the game. His first quest involves going right one room and buying the Map and Potion from the priest, Vincent. Do so, then return to Wind to receive the Lizard's Tail Relic, which lets you slide, a handy maneuver for getting through narrow passages. Wind also tells you about this castle's lord, Brauner, and that he stores his power in various Portraits around the castle. You must seek out these Portraits. Exit Wind's Room to the left and hit the switch for future access to the castle entrance. Now go left, slide through the passage, and head into the next room to find the first Portrait. Charlotte will work her magic, allowing you both to enter the City of Haze.
City of Haze
When you arrive here, go right and activate the Warp Room, then head out the exit to the right. Again go right, then pick up the Clover Tiara from the floor and head through the top-right exit. Take the top-left exit from here, then go left into the "Butcher's Room" to take the Kirtle. Return to the previous room and head to the bottom right to find the Leather Cuirass. Equip it, then take the bottom-left exit. Go right into the next room, then right again to find the White Corsage. Use the Save Room to the right, then go back and take the top-left exit in the ceiling. Take the Leather Corset from here, then head up into the next room. Go left and take the top exit again, then take the right exit from this room.
Fight your way to the bottom of this room, then slide on the floor to break it. Jump down, then take the exit to the left. After killing him, drink the bartender's blue concoction to revive your HP, but don't touch any of his other drinks, as they're all harmful. Go left and grab the Green Tea Cake and Cream Pie sub-weapon, then return to the previous room. Break the right wall and head through to the Bakery. Take the Paper Airplane from here and strike the cash register to open it. Now hit the chandelier above it to drop some gold in the register, and depending how much fell in, you'll get a Wheat Roll, Sachertorte, NY Cheesecake, or Mille Feuville. Go back to the last room and take the exit through the ceiling.
Take the exit to your right and collect your first Dual Crush, Rush. Now head back to the last room and head up, taking the Claymore on the way to the upper-right exit. Go right to collect the Sandals, then take the exit down. Go down to the bottom and right to the next room, then take the Potion and Leather Whip from the one after that. Go through the right exit, through this room, and right again. Head to the upper-left room and activate the Warp Point, then go right to take the Enamel Pinheels. Take the bottom-right exit for the Holy Lightning Dual Crash. Now backtrack through two rooms to reach the room with the exit going down. Descend to the room below and take the exit to the left. Go left again and drop to the bottom of this shaft, taking the exit to the bottom-left to find a Save Room. Now leave and go right.
Here, leave Charlotte in the cart and approach the switch. Strike it, then switch to her, and the cart will smash through the wall, opening the way ahead. Go right. Activate the Warp Point in the Warp Room through the upper-right exit, then take the bottom-right exit to find a Skill Cube, which summons your partner and has them use their currently equipped sub-weapon or spell. Go right, then right again, then right one more time to reach the next Save Room. Save, then go back and take the upper-right exit. Go right, continuing along the linear path until you reach a vertical shaft with two doors on the right wall. The lower of these two doors is another Warp Room, and the top is a Save Room. Save your game, then head through the exit at the top of the shaft. Now go left to fight your first boss, Dullahan.
Dullahan
Dullahan has two parts: his head, and the large suit of armor it connects to. Jump up and attack the head using your weapons and Charlotte's Raging Fire spell. This boss will fire a lot of projectiles at you, but you can dodge them all just by not standing in one place. If things get bad, use the Holy Lightning Dual Crush for some temporary invulnerability. Keep up this pattern of Raging Fire and dodging and Dullahan will be no more.
Afterwards, the vampire Loretta will appear and confirm that you have weakened her father's powers just slightly by defeating Dullahan. When she leaves, exit to the left and take the Acrobat Cube, which lets you jump onto your partner's shoulders to reach high ledges. Go left to the next room, then break the floor and drop down to grab the Tuxedo Coat. Go back up, then jump from your partner's shoulders to get on top of the block here. Go up and then right, then jump off your partner again to claim the Cape. Now take the top-left exit. Take the Thick Glasses from this room, then return to the previous. Take the lower-left exit now, then exit again to the left. Take the exit through the floor to get the Axe, then go back up and go left again. Take the next exit down, then go left. In this tall room, jump off your partner to grab the Velvet Ribbon and the Long Sword from the upper corners. Now go left, left, and take the Push Cube, which allows you to push heavy objects around. Push the cart to the left, then jump over it and go left twice. Take the Boost Con spell, then go right two screens and then down. Take the Gale Force spell and the Mace, then go down and enter the Warp Room. Warp back to the beginning of the City of Haze, and return to Dracula's Castle.
Return to Dracula's Castle, Part 1
Go back to Vincent's store and buy the Castle Map 2, then return to Wind and take the Supersonic Punch quest. Go back to the "Butcher's Room" in the City of Haze and punch the hanging meat until you get the Ground Meat. Take it back to Wind to obtain the Bullet Punch, then exit left. Go down, then all the way right to the Save Room. Save your game, then head back out and jump off your partner's shoulders to get the Whip Skill 1. Now take the upper-right exit. Go right again, pick up the Spear, then go right again to fight the Behemoth who chased you earlier in the game.
Behemoth
Equip the Spear you just picked up and use it to stab the Behemoth in the face when it's not charging at you (which is when you should be jumping to safety on the platform). Stand near the beast and duck when it vomits acid, and back off when it spits its intestines at you. When you're far away, use your sub-weapon to keep the damage coming, and revert to the Spear when you're up close and personal.
When the Behemoth is vanquished, head right, then down. Break the wall on the left, just beneath the bars, to claim the Combat Knife, then return to the shaft and take the left exit all the way at the bottom. Go left again, then all the way left here to the exit in the floor. Head to the bottom of this shaft and go left, then left again to find the Offensive Form sub-weapon, if you want it. Now go back right three rooms to the last vertical shaft and take the right exit. Go right again, then take the upper-right exit. Break the floor near the middle of this room to find a HP Max Up, which boosts your overall HP, then head back up and take the exit through the floor to the right. Go to the bottom of this shaft and take the left exit, then go all the way left for a Cestus. Now go back to the previous room and take the exit in the right wall.
Use the Save Room to the right, then activate the Warp Room to the lower-left. When you've done both of those things, take the lower-right exit. You'll face a Zombie Dragon, which will go down easily enough with your Raging Fire magic; head right afterwards. Take the lower-right exit, then go right, and right again through the upper exit. Go to the far right wall and break it to find a Boiled Starfish, then go back and take the exit through the ceiling. Take the upper right exit in the shaft, then go right again to find the Bandana. Now go back two rooms to the shaft and take the upper-left exit. Take the Ice Fang spell from this room, then break the floor beneath it to claim an MP Max Up, which raises your overall MP. Go back up and take the exit through the ceiling. Take the Copper Plate here and continue through the exit above you. Go left through this room, and left again through the next. Take the upper-left exit here and you'll meet Death, a longtime Dracula supporter. Death doesn't seem to know who Brauner is, and leaves shortly thereafter. Keep going left now until you reach the Warp Room. Activate it, then go back and take the upper-right exit. Go right through this long corridor to the exit, then go down to grab the Don Quixote for Charlotte. Use the Save Room to your right, then go back and take the upper-right exit. Go right one more screen to face the next boss.
Keremet
This boss has 666 HP, and a clearer indication of its good/evil alignment I could not devise. Start by pushing the pot here all the way to the right, then keep attacking it until Keremet appears. Now have Charlotte use Ice Fang over and over on it while Jonathan takes out the creatures Keremet summons. With Ice Fang, Keremet will be no match for Jonathan and Charlotte.
Exit to the right now and take the Stone of Flight, which lets you double-jump; use it to reach the Partisan above you. Now take the upper-right exit and go right through the next room to yet another vertical shaft. Take the upper-right exit, then go right again. Take the Goggles from this room and break the upper-right section of the wall to grab the Axe Bomber Dual Crash. Return to the last vertical shaft and take the bottom-right exit this time. Grab the Iron Leggings to the right and drop down through the vanishing floor next to them. Go right just a little bit and break the floor to find a Bathrobe. Grab the Nun's Habit to the left, then take the right exit. Use the Save Room directly to your right, then activate the Warp Room at the bottom-left. Now go to the bottom-right to find another Portrait. Enter it.
Sandy Grave
Directly to your right is a Warp Room, so be sure to activate it on your way out. Take the right exit, then the next one to face a Sand Worm. After you kill it, stand where it was to sink to the secret room below it. Take the HP Max Up and go back up, then go through the right exit. Avoid the Red Skeletons which you can't kill yet and take the Steel Whip to the right. Use the Save Room through the upper-right exit, then go back and take the lower-right exit. Go right again, the right through this room to the eastern exit. Watch out for the traps in this room and take the exit to the right. Grab the Clear Skies spells and the bag of gold from the upper parts of this area, then go right again. Head to the right through this room and take the exit through the floor. Take the bottom-left exit here and go left through the next room. Grab the bag of gold and the 1000 Blades Dual Crash from this area, then go back two screens and take the bottom-right exit this time.
Go right through this room down the ramp and take the exit through the floor, avoiding any boulders that come barreling down your way. Go right to nab the MP Max Up, then take the bottom-left exit. Go left two screens and take the lower-left exit to find a Warp Room, and a Save Room left of that. Activate the Warp Room and save your game, then head right of the Warp Room and take the upper-left exit this time. Jump quickly over the platforms to grab the Diamond Brooch and the bag of gold, then exit left. Go left again, then take the exit through the ceiling to end up in an area you traversed earlier.
Head right three screens from here and take the right exit this time instead of going down. Go right again to meet Brauner and his daughter Stella. Loretta you already know. Brauner says he has no intention of reviving Dracula; instead he's using Dracula's Castle to fuel his own power. When they all leave, strangely deciding not to kill you, seeing as how you've already drained some Brauner's power via the first Portrait, go right and jump up to grab the Bwaka Knife sub-weapon. Now take the lower-right exit to find a Bahg Nahk weapon for Jonathan, then go back inside and take the upper-left exit this time. Go left through this room to the next, then left again to the next. Keep heading left through the rooms until you reach a tall vertical shaft. Grab the Pumpkin Pie and the Crystal Necklet, then use the Save Room in the room above the left exit. After you save, take the lower-left exit, then go left two screens to a Warp Room. Activate it and continue left two rooms. Take the exit through the ceiling and grab the Steel Ball sub-weapon here, if you like, then take the next exit through the ceiling. Take the ceiling exit again in this next room, then go right from the one after that. Go right three screens and jump onto the lamp with both Jonathan and Charlotte to open the way ahead. Take the exit through the floor.
Take the High Tonic from this room and leave through the floor exit. Kill all the ghosts here to trigger the arrival of a Great Ghost, so kill that as well. Take the Charm Necklace to the right and the Glamorous Pumps, then head back two rooms and take the exit through the ceiling. Activate the Warp Room to the bottom-left and save your game in the Save Room above that. When you're ready, head through the ceiling exit and go left to face the Sandy Grave's boss, Astarte.
Astarte
Astarte has the ability to charm Jonathan and turn her against Charlotte in this battle, so when she says "Temptation!" be sure to switch to Charlotte until it's safe to switch back. Use the 1000 Blades Dual Crush to seriously cripple her, then finish her off with magic and physical attacks while jumping over her tornadoes and orb attacks.
Go left to the next room after killing Astarte and head down through the floor exit. Go down through the next floor exit and take the Strength Glove, which allows you to push green blocks with your partner. Push the block out of the way, drop down, then go right two screens and go through the floor exit. Take the Royal Sandals on the way down, then return to the Portrait (either on foot or via a Warp Room) to get back to the castle.
Return to Dracula's Castle, Part 2
Step out of the Portrait Room, take the top-left exit, and the next top-left exit, and the next one after that. Take the Mind Boost spell, then go through the top-left exit. Then take yet another top-left exit. Go left through this room to the next, then left again to activate another Warp Room. Head back out, then go up and take the top-left exit. Fight the enemies here and continue left through the next two rooms to an enormous area five map-squares wide and four map-squares tall. Take the Strength Boost spell from the top-left corner, then right down the steps and up the platforms for a Potion, Tonic, and Poncho. Take the Tome of Arms 2 from the bottom, then take the lower-left exit to a second gigantic room.
Go down the stairs here and leap up to the ledges to grab the Monocle, Uncurse Potion, and the Jade Corset. At the bottom, go right for an HP Max Up, then return to the first of these huge rooms and take the upper-left exit. Go left through this room to the next, then left two more screens. Drop down to find the Whip Knuckles and the Iron Plate, then head up through the ceiling exit. Activate the Warp Room to the lower-left and save your game in the Save Room to the upper-right. Break the top-left portion of the ceiling to grab some Nun's Robes and an MP Max Up, then drop back down and take the upper-left room to reach the Portrait leading to the Nation of Fools.
Nation of Fools
Head right out of the Portrait room, then take the exit through the ceiling to the right. Go left through this room and left through the next to find a Warp Room. Activate it and step back out, then go through the exit above you. Go right four rooms, then drop down and take the right exit to find a Save Room. Save, then exit and drop through the floor exit. Take the bag of money here and go right four rooms. Head through the ceiling exit here, then take the upper-right one. Go through the upper-left door, then left two screens to a Save Room. Use it, then head up. Take the HP Max Up to the right, then head through the top-left exit. Ascend to the top of this room and take the upper-right exit. Go through the ceiling exit, take the bag of gold, then head out to the left. Take the ceiling exit here, then go right two rooms. Take the upper-left exit, then the exit through the ceiling. Take the High Tonic here, along with the Spiked Boots, then strike the white block left of the swinging blade to get the Caviar. Leave this room through the top-left exit.
Take the top-left exit from this room, and the top-left exit from the next. Head left through this room to the next to find the Volcano Dual Crush, then head left again. Go left again and activate the Warp Room, then return to the previous room and go through the floor exit. Head out of here to the left, then take the upper-left exit to find an MP Max Up. Head to the bottom of the previous room and go right four rooms. Break the top right wall to find a Touch and Pop. Go back two rooms now and head through the floor exit. Descend all the way to the bottom of this room and go right to activate another Warp, then left to use the Save Room. Now head down to the next room and pick up the Cog from the floor to start this boss battle.
Legion
You'll have to cut through Legion's outer layer to get to his body, so start the battle by using Charlotte's Ice Fang to peel it away effectively. Watch out for Legion's tentacles and dodge the beams of energy it fires at you, and keep hitting it with Ice Fang until it succumbs to a well-deserved death.
With the Nation of Fools' energy source, i.e. Legion, dead, make your way back to the Portrait and return to the castle.
Return to Dracula's Castle, Part 3
Teleport to the Warp Room a few game-squares to the right of the rightmost gigantic area and head out to the right. Take the upper-right exit, then go through the right exit here. Push the wall here with your partner against the far wall, then let go; it will stop on a switch, holding it down. Now go right through three rooms and break the wall to the right to find some Tasty Meat. Now head through the exit in the ceiling. Activate the Warp Room to the bottom-right and use the Save Room to the upper-left. Head through the upper-right exit to claim the Tempest Spell, then return to the previous room and take the lower-left exit. Head left through this room to run into Stella again, who wants nothing more than to tear you to pieces.
Stella
Stella will fire beams of energy at you, so either duck beneath them or jump over them, depending on which kind she lets loose. Hit back with your Holy Lightning Dual Crush for big damage, then finish her off with your weapons while dodging the green moons she summons.
Wind's Past
Stella will get rescued by Loretta, leaving behind a locket containing a photo of Stella, Loretta, and Wind. Return to Wind and speak to him to discover that his real name is Eric Lecarde, and that he fought alongside Jonathan's father. He also reveals that Loretta and Stella are his daughters, not Brauner's. Brauner stole them from Eric and turned them into vampires, believing they were his own deceased daughters reborn, but a purification spell might be able to revert them to human form...
Return to the room where you bested Stella, then take the left exit. Jonathan and Charlotte will use the Cog they found in the Nation of Fool on the gears here to open the way ahead. Ignore the motorcycles in here for now and break the ceiling in the middle of the room to find the Slick Boots. Go back to the motorcycles and place Charlotte on the upper one while Jonathan stands on the lower one. As the motorcycles start moving, have Jonathan duck beneath the obstacle, then switch to Charlotte and have her duck, then switch back to Jonathan and duck again. Now switch back to Charlotte and jump over the block and duck again. The motorcycles will bust through the left wall, opening the way forward.
Go left through this next room, then head up and grab the Halberd. Break the wall left it to find the Viking Helmet, then come back and keep heading up. The upper-right exit leads to a Warp Room you should activate, and the room below that houses a Save Point. Save your game, then take the exit through the vertical shaft's ceiling. Take the Taunt sub-weapon if you want it, then go back to the shaft and take the upper-left exit to another Portrait room which will warp you to the Forest of Doom.
Forest of Doom
You'll appear at the western end of the Forest of Doom, meaning you'll be taking a lot of "right exits" here. Start off by taking the right exit to a Warp Room, then taking the next right exit out. Kill the frogs here to gain the Summon Frog spell, then head right through three rooms. Take the upper-left exit here, head through this room, and take the left exit. Climb the platforms in this room and take the middle-right exit to find some Moldy Bread (yum). Return to the previous room and take the top-right exit this time. Go right this room to the next, then take the ceiling exit. Take the top-left exit to a Save Room, and the bottom-left exit to move on. Take the left exit, then take the top-right door to find a Tristan & Isolde. Now go back to the room just west of the last Save Room and go through the floor exit, then take the upper-right exit to the next room. Head right to the next room, then up to the next one. Take the right exit, then the middle-left one. Head into the left room, then the room below that one. Destroy the bell in the corner here, then go right into the next room.
Take the HP Max Up here, then go right four rooms. Activate the Warp Room to the upper-right, then take the ceiling exit. Use the Save Room to the lower-right, then take the ceiling exit. Take the Silver Leggings to the right, then head back down to the previous room. Take the upper-right exit, then right three rooms. Go up into the next room to find a Silver Plate, then go back down to the previous room and take the exit through the floor. Grab the Amethyst Corset here, then take the left exit. Go left two rooms, then push the tombstone out of the way and take the exit down. Go right through four rooms, then through the ceiling exit. Go left twice and destroy the bell for the Stonewall sub-weapon, then go right two rooms. Take the exit down at the end of this room, then break the wall on the left for a Rusty Food Tin. Head right to use the Save Room, then go left and back up. Keep going right to face the Forest of Doom's aquatic boss, Dagon.
Dagon
You'll have to face Dagon underwater, so start out with Jonathan chucking Shurikens at his head while slashing at him with your weapon. When Dagon starts breathing in, switch to Charlotte and use her Tempest spell, then break out your Holy Lightning Dual Crush to seriously deplete or flat out erase Dagon's HP.
With Dagon dead, swim back up and take the right exit to find a Frog Morph, which, as you may have ingeniously guessed, morphs your character into a frog, which is nice for getting into hard-to-reach crevices. Go right again, teleport back to the first Warp Room, then exit the Forest.
Return to Dracula's Castle, Part 4
Take the right exit, then the bottom left exit. Go left through two rooms, then use your new Toad Morph to get through the narrow passage and claim two bags of gold. Go back three rooms, head to the door on the right above you, then go right three rooms. Go right through four more rooms, then jump up and destroy the wall on the right to find a room containing a HP Max Up. Go back to the previous room and take the lower-right exit. Step on the switch to lower the flames, then go back to Wind and finish any of the quests you feel like finishing.
When you're ready to move on, warp to the rightmost Warp Room, near where you fought Stella, and head to the room above this Warp Room. Take the exit to the right, then use Toad Morph to get through the tight passage and take the exit up. Take the upper-left exit from here, then take the Thunderbolt spell from the top right corner of the room and the HP Max Up from the top left. Take the left exit, then break the left wall to find an MP Max Up. Take the exit up, then up again at the end of the room. Head through the left exit here and claim the Rose Stem Whip before exiting to the upper-right. Go through the upper-left exit, then grab the Blue Cape from the top left corner of the room. Activate the Warp Room through the middle-right door, then come back out and take the top right exit. Head through the upper-right door to use the Save Room, then take the upper left door to face Death himself.
Death
Listen to what Death has to say, then get ready for a fight. Death has two forms in this battle: light and dark. Use physical attacks when he's in Light form, and magic when he's in Dark. Dodge Death's scythe and have Charlotte cast Strength Boost on Jonathan so that his physical attacks do more damage, and when Death reverts to Dark form, hit him with Charlotte's Tempest or Thunderbolt spell.
Afterwards, Death comments on your amazing powers, then flees. Take the left exit, then strike the glowing statue to call an elevator. Head into the left room first to grab the Int Boost spell, then go back and take the elevator down to the middle door on the left. Go left three rooms, then activate the Warp Room at the top left. Head back out and take the HP Max Up at the bottom of the room, then take the exit through the floor. Head into the Save Room to the right to save your game, then come back out and take the left exit. Go left two rooms and jump on the switch to open a shortcut back to an area you've previously traversed (but don't go that way now). Head back three rooms and up one room. Now take the middle-left exit. Go left one room and up one room, then take the ceiling exit on the left side. Take the upper-right exit here, and then the right exit. Take the Piercing Beam spell, then go through the ceiling exits until you reach a room with two exits on the right. The lower-right one leads to a Warp Room, and the one above that to a Save Room.
The room across from the Save Room houses your next boss, Wind/Eric's daughters, but you don't have the Purification spell yet, so return to the southeastern section of Sandy Grave (the room with the rolling boulder) and use Toad Morph to head left through the narrow gap to claim the Sanctuary spell. Now warp back to where you were and head left to face Loretta and Stella.
Loretta & Stella
Have Charlotte immediately start casting Sanctuary while you protect her with Jonathan. Alternatively, you can just kill Loretta & Stella to get the game's bad ending, but you don't want that, do you? Anyway, when Charlotte finally gets the spell off, Loretta & Stella will come to their senses and open a passageway leading to the four portraits that must be unlocked before you can reach Brauner.
Now return to the last Save Point and save your game, then return to Loretta & Stella's room. They will offer to unlock the power of the Vampire Killer whip, so choose to accept this. But first you must take down the whip's memory, Richter.
Whip's Memory
The easiest way to beat Richter here is to use either mastered Shurikens or the Cream Pie sub-weapon. Whip's Memory can easily beat you into submission if you choose to fight on the ground, so keep jumping and attacking him from the air to minimize damage inflicted upon you. Be sure to stay out of the corners as well.
The Five Portraits
You can now use the Vampire Killer whip, the most powerful weapon in the game. Head left into the next room to find the room containing the five Portraits. You must journey into each Portrait to unlock the invisible wall in the northern corner of the castle, and each Portrait contains a fairly straightforward path to a boss fight. What follows are the strategies for each of these bosses.
Dark Academy - The Creature
With the Vampire Killer at your disposal, the Creature won't stand a chance. Keep flogging the beast at all times, stopping only to duck beneath its lightning bolts or to dash away from its punches. The Creature can also fire missiles at you, so be sure to double-jump out of the way of their sizable explosions. If for some reason you think you're losing the battle, pull out your trump card: the 1000 Blades Dual Crush.
Forgotten City - Mummy Man
Stone blocks will fall from the ceiling throughout this boss fight, so watch out for them when they turn red; this indicates they are about to fall. To send the Mummy Man back to his (her?) grave, start off with a 1000 Blades Dual Crush, then whip him repeatedly with the Vampire Killer as the Dual Crush recharges. Hit the boss with it again, and if it's not dead yet, a few more lashes from the Vampire Killer will make sure the Mummy Man isn't alive much longer.
Burnt Paradise - Medusa
You'll be facing several Medusa Heads along with Medusa herself here, so the Bible (or the Wrecking Ball) sub-weapon is the optimal choice for a backup to the Vampire Killer. Keep the Bible whirling through the air to take out the heads, and just use the Vampire Killer on Medusa for big damage. Avoid her when she enters her snake form, dodging those venomous fangs, and if you switch to Charlotte, have her throw some Bwaka Knives into Medusa for some pain she won't shortly forget.
13th Street - Werewolf
The Werewolf's three primary means of attack are slashing at you with its claws, throwing spears at you, or summoning smaller wolves to bite you. Jump away from the slashes, duck under the spears, and stay off the ground to kill the wolves, then get ready for your offense. Whip the werewolf into submission with the Vampire Killer while chucking Shurikens nonstop at him, and as usual, bite off a ridiculous chunk of HP with the 1000 Blades Dual Crush.
Now that you've cleared the four outer Portraits, it's time to enter the center Portrait to face Brauner for the last time. He's none too happy about losing his daughters again and decides that the best means of recourse would be to end Jonathan and Charlotte's lives.
Brauner
Brauner has the ability to paint "blood" across the screen, so either avoid touching it or get rid of it with the Vampire Killer. Brauner can also summon creatures, and these you should also avoid touching, as they can curse you. Your offense should consist of the Vampire Killer, a strong sub-weapon like Holy Water or the Wrecking Ball, and the occasional 1000 Blades Dual Crush.
Death appears after the battle to finish Brauner off and reveal that Brauner's Portraits were blocking off the return of Dracula--but now that you have unsealed all of them, Dracula can reappear! Return to the Save Room now, save your game, then head up through the ceiling exits until you reach the room with the former invisible barrier. Keep heading west until you reach the door leading to Dracula himself.
The Final Battles
Dracula & Death
Dracula and Death will start the battle separate from each other, with Death flying around trying to split you open with his scythe while Dracula summons bats and shoots flames at you. Time to fight the unholy with the holiest of holies: the Bible. Keep it flying around for constant damage on these two clowns, and don't worry if you're hitting Death more than Dracula, as they share the same life bar. When you've knocked off 6,666 HP from the duo, the battle will be over...
True Dracula
...or so you thought. Death and Dracula will combine their powers now to form True Dracula, a hideous, powerful monstrosity of a final boss with several devastating attacks at its command. You'll probably want to heal up after that last little skirmish, and make sure you're using Jonathan here. Break out the Vampire Killer (though you should never have put it away in the first place) and whip True Dracula like there's no tomorrow. It is essential that you avoid being crushed by the spiked walls True Dracula summons; instead attack them with Charlotte to make them disappear. As in the last battle, keep the Bible flying around to damage True Dracula, and be relentless with that Vampire Killer: it's named so for a reason! Use whatever healing items you have stocked up because you won't need them again, and keep up your attacks until victory is yours.
With Dracula defeated once again, watch the game's closing scenes and credits, and pat yourself on the back for a job well done, and for receiving the game's "good" ending.
