Condemned 2: Bloodshot is a survival horror game with a gritty and claustrophobic tone. The main character, Ethan Thomas, is an alcoholic who suffers from horrifying hallucinations. A former SCU agent, he must investigate a growing series of murders while the city around him erupts in riots.

The game is balanced between combat, puzzles, and investigations. Much of the combat takes place with improvised weapons like pipes, bats, and even bowling balls. Firearms are rare and ammunition is limited. Each level has several puzzles, and they are usually solved with the same set of tools as the investigations. The investigations use high tech devices (UV light or a digital camera for example) to collect evidence. It's up to the player to interpret that evidence and ask questions or make conclusions.

This is the sequel to the game Condemned: Criminal Origins.
