Multiplayer in Dark Sector consists of 2 game modes each supporting 10 players.

Epidemic

Epidemic is a 5v5 match. Each team gets one Hayden and 4 mercenaries. The goal is to kill the opposing team's Hayden. Needless to say, its far better to be Hayden then to be one of the mercenary grunts.

Infection

Infection matches set one player as Hayden The remaining 9 players are mercenary grunts. The Hayden player tries to kill as many of the other players as possible, while the other players are gunning for Hayden. The player that kills Hayden becomes him in the next round.
