In the Maritsu Evil Academy, where skipping class and doing poorly on exams is the key to success, the top honor student, Mao, plots to overthrow his father and claim the title of Overlord for himself. Since his father is a devil, and it is well known that heroes are the ones who defeat devils, Mao decides to become one such Hero. After Raspberyl, another student (and the school's #1 delinquent due to the fact that she actually does her homework), hears of Mao's plans, she takes it upon herself to secure her own title and stop him--using non-violent means, of course.
