Fallout 3 is an action RGP set in the year 2277. America has been devastated by nuclear war and all that remains on the surface is called the wastelands. Luckily, a company built gigantic underground vaults all across America where people were able to live and survive in without ever having to go to the surface. Much time has passed since the bombs went off and the settlements have begun to pop up across the vast wastelands. Some however, choose to remain in their "perfect" underground vaults.

This installment in the franchise follows a character who has lived and grown up in Vault 101. This was the main vault for Washington D.C. Gamers will take on the role of the main character who discovers their father has left the safety of their vault and ventured out into the deadly wastelands. Players will have to set out and explore the ruined landscape of what once was the capital of the United States.

The game is scheduled to be released on Oct 28, 2008.
