Kratos has access to a variety of weapons throughout the game. Most of these are gathered during the course of the game. All of them can be upgraded with red orbs.

Blades of Chaos
The Blades of Chaos are Kratos's primary weapons for most of the game. These daggers on chains have good range and are able to hit several enemies with their attacks.

Gauntlet of Zeus
The Gauntlet of Zeus is acquired in the Temple of Zeus level. It is a heavy, short range weapon. It is a good choice for attacking strong enemies and bosses. It has the ability to break through armor or shields with a charged attack. Some walls can also be knocked down with it.

Sun Shield
The Sun Shield is both a defensive and offensive weapon. It has the ability to block, then reflect ranged attacks.
The Sun Shield is aquired in the The Grand Hallway. It servers as a key to some of the doors and puzzles in the game.

The Efreet
The Efreet unleashes fire attacks over a wide area. It works well against multiple enemies, or enemies that often block other attacks. These attacks require quite a bit of magic power, so use them sparingly.
You acquire the Efreet by defeating the first boss.

Light of Dawn
This weapon is found in the Guardians of the Fire level. It is used to reflect light beams in some of the puzzles and in the final boss battle.

Charon's Wrath
Charon's Wrath is a short range magic attack that can target several enemies at once. Unlike the Effret it must be aimed. To use Charon's Wrath, hold the right shoulder button, and press Circle. Weapon upgrade levels two and three use the same attack, but cause more damage and target more enemies. It is found on the Return to The Dock of Charon level.
