The Beginning

Start a new game and select a save file. As the camera moves into focus on the sleeping boy, Toku, wave the Wiimote around to move the Wind Cursor onscreen. Shake it around the small boy to wake him him. Use the analog stick on the nunchuck to move him left or right. Head to the right and he will automatically jump up or off ledges. Continue to the right until the bridge breaks below you and you tumble into a cave.

Move to the right and pick up the small stone by pressing the Z button to be introduced to Enril. After the introductory scene you will be given the power of Gust. Press and hold A will drawing a short straight line through Toku. Then release A. With your new power, head to the right. When you reach the high ledge, draw a line up through Toku while holding A. As soon as you release A the wind will kick in and toss Toku into the air.

Continue this tactic to climb up onto the platforms. You can also use Gust to toss Toku over a gap to the left or right. Once up above the cave floor, make your way to the left by using the Gust power to fling Toku over the gaps. To the far left you will need to drop down below and land on the Poyak. This is a plant that hides in the ground. When you touch it, it will swallow you up. Once inside the Poyak plant you can use the same Gust power to boost Toku high into the air.

From the Poyak plant, grab onto the high ledge to the left and follow platforms and ledges around to the top left. You will find yourself on a high cliff. As Toku jumps from this scary height, wave the Wind Cursor just below him to slow his fall until he lands safely on the ground below. Head to the left and exit this part of the cave.

Head to the left and stand on the mechanized platform before the strange alter. Use Gust on the small perpella on top and you will increase Enril's power. You can now use Gust twice in a row to send Toku higher into the air. Try it on your ledge to the left of the alter. Gust Toku straight up into the air and then do it again to reach the high ledge. Pick up the first hidden Item or 24.

Make your way back to the right and leave this area. Use your new ability to reach the previously unreachable ledge to the far right. Drop down and wiggle the Wind Cursor under Toku to slow his fall. You should also find another Item on your way down. Continue to the right where you will pass the Poyak plant from earlier.

Next you will encounter a pair of Glorbs. Gust yourself over them or Gust them into walls to destroy them. Proceed to the right. Climb up to find a small sapling near a tiny waterfall. Use the Gust power to blow water onto the sapling to make a Poyak plant blossom. Hop inside the plant and blast yourself to the ledge high above. Go to the right and avoid the Glorb that's waiting for you. To the right of the flaming torch you will find the cave exit.

Rumblings in the Village

Make your way to the far right. You can talk to the old man and woman along the way by pressing the Z button. In the next area you will find a Melodia Statue. These will allow you to save your game. Approach Deo, the large old man in blue to the right and talk to him. After the brief dialogue, you need to go to the village and pick up some herbs for Deo. Head to the right to enter another area.

Go to the right and climb up on to the tiny platforms. The man next to the stone building to the right says the herb store is ruined. Gust your way up to the left and onto the house near the girl. Hop on top of the house and go to the right to meet Notea who is standing in front of the windmill. Notea will inform you that there is another Shrine to the west of Wither Falls.

Head all the way back to the left. Pass Deo again and keep moving to the left. Staying on the ground level to the far left you will pass under a ledge and appear in Wither Falls.

There is a woman there who says the bridge is out. Use your Gust ability to cross the gap and continue your journey to the left. Make your way past the Globs and double Gust yourself onto the ledge above to find another Melodia Statue. From the statue, jump to the small tree branches to the right and then to the ledge. Climb up then double back to the left on the higher platforms.

Enter the next area to the top left and then quickly pass the waterfalls and into the next section.Hop onto the ledge to the left. Using Gust, move the round rock onto the mechanical switch to the left. This will trigger the steel doors to open just west of you. Jump up into this newly opened ledge to find a sapling. For now, simply move the round rock in here back out to the right.

Make your way down to the lower right with the rock. . You will find yourself standing on a coiled up branch, similar to the ones that can block a path. Use Gust on the nearby touch to blow fire onto the branch floor your standing on. This will burn it and let you drop down below. Move the rock over to the left and set it on the mechanical switch to open the door here. Avoid the spiky plants as you climb up and enter the door.

Drop down and stand on the shrine in the middle. Use the Gust power on the small windmill and you will be grant the power of Slipstream. Jump up to the left to find a coiled branch blocking a small room. The camera will zoom out a bit. Use Slipstream on the torch above. With the Wind Cursor on the fire, hold B and draw a line around to the coiled branch. Release B and the fire will follow your line and burn the branch.

In this small room you will find a propeller plant. Pick it up with Z and walk out to the edge. With the propeller plant in hand, use the Slipstream power and make yourself fly up to the right into the small gap high above. Use the torch on the other side of the coiled branch to burn it and pick up the hidden item.

Now, drop back down and pick up another propeller plant from the same spot. You will need to use it to get out of this cave the way you came in. The problem is however, once you leave the ground with the plant in hand, it will disappear once you touch the ground again. So, use the Slipstream ability to navigate yourself to the right and up to the ledge you originally entered from. Once up there exit the area.

If the spiky plants are up, use Gust to make them retract. To the right you will find that a mess of Globs have overtaken the sapling from before. Hop over it to the right and zoom the camera out using the D-pad. Use Slipstream on the touch above and have it burn the coiled branches to your right. Follow this new path down and exit the area.

Crystal Cave

To the right you will find another coiled branch blocking your path. Above it, you will find a smoldering torch. Use Gust on it to re-ignite the flames then use Slipstream to burn the branch blocking your path. Defeat the Globs to the right and continue in that direction. You will find a lit torch on the opposing side of an unlit torch of a small ceiling section. Use the Slipstream power and make a "U" from the lit one to the other to set it on fire. Then use the newly lit torch to burn the coiled branch to the right.

Use the Poyak plant to blast into the air. While in midair, use Slipstream to carry fire from the torch high up to set the lower torch to the right ablaze. With the lower torch on fire, burn the Poyak plant to create a seed. Pick up and carry the seed by pressing Z and carry it back to the left. Near the first torch you will find a small patch of dirt. Plant the seed here and use the water to the left to make it grow.

Now use the newly planted Poyak plant to jump high into the air and reach the ledge above. Take out the Globs and then drop far down to the lower portion of the area with the mushroom. If you Gust yourself into the mushroom you will bounce high into the air. Use Slipstream to light the torches on your way back up to the top right. Burn the coiled branch and continue to the right.

Bring the smoldering torch back to life with a Gust and then use Slipstream to burn another coiled branch.

Return to the Village

Your original path back to the village has been blocked until the bridge can be fix. You will need to find a new way out of here. Again, use the branches of the tree to climb up to the upper right where you will be met by a coiled branch. Use the torch above to burn the branch down and clear your path. Proceed to the right. Use the propeller plant and Slipstream yourself to the far right to pick up another hidden Item. Now drop down, slowly, and make your way back to the right. Find your way all the way to the top of the village where Notea was.

Cliffside Village

As you reach the windmill of the village you will find that Notea is gone. The new guy standing there will inform you that Notea has gone to the Cliffside Village. Head to the right. Hop up onto the ledge and use the propeller plant to fly to the right and pickup the hidden item from the hard to reach ledge. From there, drop off to the right and proceed into the next area.

Burn the coiled branch on the ground and fall through the hole. Be sure to forget to slow yourself by wiggling the wind cursor under Toku as he falls. Take out the Globs then bounce yourself off the mushroom to fling Toku onto the ledge to the right. Burn the coiled branch blocking the path and proceed to the right.

Head all the way to the right and then drop into the small gap near the woman standing at the end of the village. Slowly fall all the way down and then make your way to the left. After passing over a bridge you will find a fat man and a group of three kids standing on either side of another gap. Drop into this gap and head to the right. There you will find Notea. Use Slipstream to light the torch on the right with the one from the left. This will open the cave.

Go to the right and float down the narrow shaft. Float to the right side so you can move the round rock from the small ledge. If you miss it, use the mushrooms to bounce your way back up to it. Use Gust to move the rock all the way to the left and onto the mechanical switch. Go through the door to the left that this opens.

You will now enter the actual Chamber of Memories. Stand in the middle and use the center torch to light the other two. To open the chest, hold Z and use Gust to blow Toku into the air. After releasing Deo's memories, grab the hidden item to the left. Go back to the right and climb the shaft by bouncing off the mushrooms.

Deo's Memory

Make your way all the way back to through the villages to the left. You will find Deo standing where he was at the start of the game. From here you will need to make your way to the left to find the Old Mines.

To the Mines

Head to the west from Deo. Gust yourself up onto the ledge and then onto the next one. You will now need to cross a long gap to the left. It's best if you simply run straight off it so Toku automatically jumps and then double Gust yourself to the other side. Enter the mines.

Drop straight down the first gap and use Slipstream to burn the coiled branch to the right with the torch high above. Enter the next area to the right.

Continue to the right and pull on the ring sticking out of the ground. While pulling on the ring, Gust Toku upwards to release the nearby floor to the right. Drop down below and head to the left. You'll need to move a rock from the lower right up to the upper left. Use Gust to move the rock around. Set it on the mechanical platform to the left and enter it.

Drop down into the open room and activate the Shrine. You will be given the power of Vortex. To the left, toss the small sphere into the air and then hold A and draw a circle around it. This will make the sphere vibrate with blue rings. Quickly, while the sphere is still in the air, use Gust to throw it into the tall crystals blocking your path to the left. The vibrating ball will shatter the crystal and clear the path. Move the sphere up to the left and set it near the strange door with the crystal in the center. Hold A and draw a circle around both the sphere and the crystal in the door. This will make the two communicate and the door will be opened.

Head through the door to the left. You will be met by a small crab-like creature. Use the Vortex on the near by rock and kill the crab with it. Vortex the rock again and then Gust it into the small rock platform to the left. This will destroy the platform and you can drop down below now. Head to the left and drop down into another shaft. Move the small rock in this shaft with you to the lower right.

Directly below the the hanging fruit here is a not-so-hidden item. To the far right, toss the rock into the air, Vortex it and then fling it into the barred gate to the right. Proceed into the new area.

Jump down into the next shaft and make your way to the right. Toss the crab creature into the air with a Gust then quickly Vortex him and slam it into the barred gate. Make your way up the small incline, you should be able to see a torch under you. Drop down on the right side and use the torch to burn the coiled branches. Hop in there and pick up another hidden item.

Now move the small rock that's near here up by bouncing it off the mushrooms. Use it to break the barred gate to the right. Climb up to the left and pull the ring lever from the ground to release a floor panel in the main room.

Head back into this main room and climb up to the top to find a fruit hanging from the ceiling and a barred gate to the upper right. Gust the fruit to the right and Vortex it in midair. Now slam it into the gate to clear the path. Hop up here and roll the sphere in the neighboring room onto the floor panel and then have Toku stand on the mechanical switch in his room to have the sphere drop down below.

Find the sphere and move it to the right. Bounce it up the mushrooms. Before bouncing it to the final ledge to the very upper right, use it on the crystal wall to the very top left and you'll discover another hidden item. Now bounce it to the very top right and use the sphere along with the Vortex power to break the crystal barrier and continue to the right.

In the next room you will find another sphere, use it to break both crystal barriers. Move the ball up the the right and then Vortex both the ball and the crystal door. This will open the door for you to proceed.

Pull the lever in the next area to release a floor panel. Drop down and head to the right. Vortex the crab and use it to break the barred gate to the right. Here you will find two mechanical switches, a single rock and a fruit stem that grows one fruit at a time. Place the rock on the switch to the left. This will open the floor panel above you. Gust yourself up to the platform above, if you are having trouble, try standing on the edge of the right mechanical switch and doing it.

Once you are above the room with the two switches, Gust the fruit free from the stem and set it on the mechanical switch to the right. You must act quickly as the fruit will disappear in time. If it does, another will grow back and you will need to reset it on the switch. Use the flames from the torch to burn the Poyak down below. Drop down and pick up the hidden item and the Poyak seed. Now, with the seed in hand, Gust yourself back up and drop back down into the room with the two mechanical switches.

Head back to the left and Gust up to the wooden platform above. Jump up to the left ledge and plant the seed into the dirt and a Poyak plant will grow. Hop inside and blast yourself up to the right to leave this area.

Go to the right and burn the Poyak plant. Pick it up and Gust yourself up to the left. Bounce off the mushroom and you'll find a narrow shaft to the left. Plant the seed at the base of the shaft and then use the Poyak plant that grows to shoot yourself up and get the sphere in the nook up above. With the sphere in tow, make your way to the lower right.

To the far lower right of this area you will find a campfire at the end of a tunnel. Slipstream the fire back to the left to ignite the small torches along the back wall. Now burn the wilted propeller plant at the mouth of this small tunnel. Pick up the Propeller seed and carry it all the way back to where you found the sphere in the upper nook to the left. Plant the seed here and use the propeller plant to fly up the upper right ledge. Jump off this ledge to the right and float down to exit this area to the right.

Proceed to the right and light the small torches as you descend the shaft. To the left you'll find a mechanical switch. Before worrying about that though, Gust' yourself up the the tiny ledge above the switch and pick up the hidden item.

Drop back down the switch that will open the door while standing on it. Gust the small rock on the other side of the open door to you and set it on the switch so you you may pass through the door. Be sure to keep passing the flames from one torch to the next as you will need to burn down the coiled tree just after the door.

Pass over the floor panel and into the next cavern to the left. Go up the stairs then leap off them back towards the right to reach the ledge high above. Exit through here and pull the nearby ring lever to release the floor panel below. Float back down and drop into the floor panel opening. Pick up the propeller plant and quickly use it to float up to the high ledge to the right.

Up here you will find the second chest of Deo's Memories. Open it and then step through the exit to the right. You will find yourself inside the Chamber of Memories once again. Make your way back to Deo.

Deo Remembers More

Make your way back to Deo and speak with him. He will tell you the general locations of the last two chests and give you the Jumbrella Cape.

Now head to the west and use a rock to bust open the gate blocking Wither Falls. Before you enter though, know that there is a hidden item in the upper right of this area. Use the Jumbrella Cape to reach the high tree branches and then the Poyak plant to fight it on a small ledge. When you are ready, reenter Wither Falls.

The bridge is now repaired here. Instead of making your way back through the entire place though, from the bridge, climb your way all the way up the center ravine. Gust upwards then use the Jumbrella and Slipstream to make your way up to the left. As you reenter that last area you visited here, use the Jumbrella and Slipstream again to retrieve the hidden item from above the torch.

Make your way to the far left along the top most ledges. In the next area, use the Jumbrella and Slipstream once again to fly up the gap near the entrance to this place. You'll need to make your way up and to the left for a little bit. Use the bouncing mushrooms where needed and keep going up. Then proceed to read to the right. The exit here is in the very upper right.

Step through here and you will find another chest just to the right. Open it to release more of Deo's memories. Before leaving, to the right is a tall wall. Float and fly your way up the wall and collect the hidden item up there.

Now make your way back to Deo who will tell you to find the last chest in the Abandoned Village.

From Deo, head to the right. Stay along the bottom level of the Hillside Village. Burn the coiled branch with the torch to the far right. Take the small rock with you to the lower right and you will find a gate and an old man. Break the gate with the rock and Vortex power and enter the new area.

Just to the right you will find a propeller plant. Use it and the Slipstream power to fly up the large open area above you. There is a gap along the left side. When your propeller plant dies quickly switch to the Jumbrella to make it to the ledge high above. Proceed to the upper right of this and into the next area.

Here, you'll need to drop down and to the left. Use the rock to break the gate to the right. Head to the right and pull the ring lever to alternate two doors from open to closed. Continue to the right until you reach another door that you can't open just yet. Climb up just to the left of this door until you reach the top right and can see into the room you can reach.

From the room next door, Vortex the sphere while in the air and break the rock ground. Then bring the smoldering torch back to life and use the flames to burn the coiled branch underneath. Make sure the sphere has fallen down through both of these and is now down below behind the door you can't open.

Make your way back to the left and flip the doors again by pulling ring lever. To the left look for a coiled branch along the ceiling. Use a nearby torch to burn it and fly your way up to this ledge. You will find a rock to the right. Take the rock back to the left and then head back towards the room with the two doors. Pull the ring again and proceed to the right with the rock in tow. Instead of going up the locked door however, follow the path downwards to the right and use the rock to break through the gate.

Here you will need to stand on the mechanical switch. The camera will zoom way out and you will be able to see the sphere you want way above you. With you on the switch the door will open. From this wide angle you can steer the sphere out of its room. Once it is free from its room, join your sphere and make your way to the far lower left of this area.

Use the sphere to break the crystal barrier and then open the chest to restore the rest of Deo's memory. Now make your way all the way back to Deo once again.

Magmok

Once you talk to Deo after fully restoring his memory, he'll introduce you to Magmok. Unfortunately, Magmok has been covered in glop. To fight Magmok, you will need to stand up on the small ledge to either the right or left. His corroding hand will slap the ground near you. Quickly use the Slipstream technique to carry fire down from the torch above to burn the Glop spawn point on the back of his hand. Now, jump on the back of his hand and pull the little knob off.

Magmok will now lower his head and shake more Glop at you. Toss the near by rock into the air and Vortex the rock. Slam the rock into Magmok's head to end this attack cycle. You will now need to repeat the hand process with the opposite hand. Burn the back of the hand with fire then pull up the knob by hand. Again, Magmok will attack with his head and again you should Vortex the rock and hit him with it.

Now, quickly burn the Glop spot on the top of his head and just up there and pull of the knob to restore Magmok to his original state. This will conclude LostWinds.
