Marvel: Ultimate Alliance/optional quests

There are some quests in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance that are optional, but have consequences which are revealed at the end of the game.

• A Devil in Need
  • Save Nightcrawler from the Infinity Vortex.
  • If you do not save Nightcrawler, Mystique will kill Professor X and the X-Men will disband.
  • You cannot save both Nightcrawler and Jean Grey.

• An Angel in Need
  • Save Jean Grey from the Infinity Vortex.
  • If you do not save Jean she will return as the Dark Pheonix.
  • You cannot save both Jean Grey and Nightcrawler.

• Dragon Fang
  • Find Valkyrie's sword on Bifrost.
  • If you do not find the sword, Valkyrie will die in battle the Asgardians will be forbidden to make contact with Earth for one hundred years.

• The Pawns and the Princess
  • Save Lilandra Neramani from Deathbird
  • If you save Lilandra, the Shi'ar will eliminate disease and hunger on Earth. Fail and the Shi'ar will refuse to help when a meteor destroys part of the United States.

• Core Meltdown
  • Destroy the core drills of Galactus and save the Skrull planet.
  • If you save their planet, the Skrulls will help the heroes protect the Earth from an invasion by the Kree.

• The Rescue of Odin
  • Rescue Odin Dr. Doom
  • If you rescue Odin he will help Thor protect the Earth from enslavement by Thanos.

• Device of the Ancients
  • Locate the Ultimate Nullifier.
  • If you fail to find the Nullifier, Mephisto will invade Earth.

• Mission of Mercy
  • Gather rare seaweed to create a medicine that will heal Namor
  • If Namor dies, a war will happen between Atlantis and the surface.

• Save the Omega Computer
  • Save the Omega Computer from being destroyed
  • The Omega Computer has a cure for the Legacy Virus. Without the cure, mutants on Earth will all be killed.

• Political Schemes
  • Locate and free Senator Kelly.
  • Save Kelly and he will create schools for young mutants. Don't save him and he will send them to concentration camps.
