The storyline description, from the game manual:
You are Travis Touchdown, an anime fan from the town of Santa Destroy, California. After winning a Beam Katana in an Internet auction, Travis is compelled to walk the path of a hit man. As the 11th-ranked assassin, Travis will have to prove himself worthy and defeat 10 other bloodthirsty killers as he slashes his way to the top of the United Assassins Association.
