Orphan: Super Metroid - SNES Walkthrough
From WikiCheats
Space Colony
When you've read the brief prologue to the events about to unfold, you'll dock at a Metroid breeding ship with full control of bounty hunter extraordinaire Samus Aran. Run through the empty corridors, shooting through the doors until you reach the room with a single Metroid in it. The pterodactyl-esque Ridley shows up then, and that's your cue to pump that ugly thing full of shots from your blaster! Don't worry if you sustain too much damage; you can't lose this fight. After you damaged Ridley enough (or vice versa) he'll fly off to the nearby planet Zebes with the Metroid, leaving you about a minute to get out of the colony before it self-destructs. This isn't difficult by any means, and if you can't get out by then, perhaps you should elsewhere for your interactive entertainment needs. When you reach your ship, you'll follow Ridley down to the strange new world in hot pursuit.
Crateria
There are several worlds on Zebes, and Crateria is only the first. When you land, head west through the blue door and fall down the pit beyond it on the left. Pass through the blue door in the floor and, as you plummet through this shaft, hug the right wall and land on the little ledge, then drop down to the floor and head through the blue door to the east. Continue east, head through the blue door there, then ride the elevator down to Brinstar.
Brinstar
Morph Ball
Head left over the little barricade to claim the Morph Ball, the first of many additions to your bounty-hunting repertoire. The Morph Ball allows you to roll Samus up into a ball and roll beneath low-hanging walls and through tight crevices. Shoot out the block under the barricade and roll through the tunnel to get out of this nook, then head east through the blue door to the next room.
Missiles
Shoot through the sandstone floor here and drop to the floor below. Morph into a ball and roll through the tunnel to the west and proceed through the blue door to find the statue of a Chozo holding a ball in its hand. Shoot it and you'll gain your first missiles! In addition to being powerful enemy-killers, missiles open red doors, so bear that in mind. Leave this room and head back to the upper level of the previous one and fire a missile at the red door to the east to proceed. Keep heading right to the barricade, roll beneath it, then take the missile expansion on the other side. Make your way back to the elevator now and ride it back up to Crateria.
Crateria, Part 2
Bombs
Enemies now haunt the corridors of Crateria, the scum of Zebes: Space Pirates! Thankfully they're not too difficult, so blast them away without hesitation or regret. When you've killed them all, head through the flashing blue door to the tall shaft. Blast through the pirates as you jump up the platforms to the top of the shaft and head through the door there. Above the blue door to the left is a morph ball tunnel; roll through it to find a save station where you can save your game. Leave this room and head to the top, then roll down through the gap to the right to find another blue door to the east. Head through it and go all the way to the right and fire five missiles into the red door to open it. Before you head through, though, you'll probably want to shoot some of the moths in this room to replace your missiles and any health you've lost. Beyond the door you'll find another Chozo statue with a sphere in its hand; shoot it to claim the bombs, which you can drop in morph ball mode. You don't get to celebrate for long, however, because the room seals and the Chozo statue awakens to fight you!
BOSS: Torizo
The best way to kill Torizo is with missiles, bar none. Eight of them to the chest will put Torizo down for good, but be sure to space them out. Five missiles should take out the chest plate, leaving you to pump three more missiles into it to leave his face with a serious hurtin'. After that, fire some regular Power Beam shots at it to finish it off, if it's not dead already. Torizo will fire bombs at you, but you can shoot them; the added advantage of this strategy is that the shot bombs sometimes leave power-ups behind for you to grab.
You can leave the room when Torizo bites the dust. Head back two rooms and head up the right tunnel, bombing your way up to the top. Head left and fall down the pit again, then shoot missiles through the red door on the right to find a map station. Download the map for this area, then go left through the blue door across from it. Roll through the passageway and bomb through the blocks, then head through the next door to find another Chozo statue. Don't worry, this one won't attack. Shoot the sphere in its hand for a missile expansion, then return to the previous room and roll back through the tunnel, then out the right door. Drop through the door in the floor again, fall all the way to the bottom, then go through the blue door to the right again. Lay a bomb in the shattered glass tank to open a secret passage. Lay more bombs to reach another missile expansion.
Ascend the tall shaft again and head through the door in the ceiling. Go to the upper-left corner of this room and lay some bombs to get through the bendezium blocks, then head through the door to the left. Head left all the way to the next door and go through to find an Energy Tank, which boosts your total life gauge by 100! Continue through the blue door to the left to meet some new Space Pirates that are only susceptible, at this point in the game, to missiles and bombs. Kill them all, the dirty scallywags, and take the blue door on the bottom-left. Proceed left through this room to the next door, which leads to another elevator. Ride it down to Brinstar.
Brinstar, Part 2
Charge Beam
There are three missile doors on the left and two on the right in this room. Your first should be the top-left door, which will take you to a map station. Download the new map, then return to the five-door room and take the door below that one to save your game. Head out, then take the top-right door and cross the bridge, falling down in the middle of it to grab the next missile expansion. Go back out to the five-door room and take the bottom-left door if you want to refill your missiles. Otherwise, take the bottom-right door. Proceed cautiously through here, shooting the enemies as you head right to the wall of bendezium. Bomb through it and continue right to the door, then go through to a very pink room. Drop to the bottom of the room and look around for the next missile expansion, then lay a bomb before the nearby blocks to open a passage to the room below. Drop down to find a sphere in a Chozo statue's hands that contains the Charge Beam (just hold the "fire" button to charge up your beam, then release it for a much more powerful attack).
Head back up to the previous room and climb to the top. Morph into a ball to roll through the tunnel to the left if you want to reach a save station; otherwise, go through the upper-right door. Use charged shots to kill the enemies in here, then head through the blue door in the ceiling to face the Spore Spawn!
BOSS: Spore Spawn
As with the Torizo, missiles are the way to go here (charged beams also work well, but they're slower). Blast the Spore Spawn's spores to avoid taking damage from them, and roll into a morph ball and tuck yourself in a corner if it wanders near you. Wait until the Spore Spawn reveals his core, then unleash your missiles until it covers itself up again. Continue shooting the spores and staying in the corners as a morph ball until the core opens up again, and attack again. Keep this up until the Spore Spawn kicks the bucket.
Super Missiles
Head up the platforms and take the exit from this room in the upper-right corner. Head right and jump on the pipe, then fall through the disintegrating blocks to the bottom of the shaft, where a Chozo statue holds a sphere in its hand. Shoot it to obtain the Super Missiles, which are three times as strong as a normal missile and can open green doors. Exit to the left, blowing open the green door with your Super Missiles. Beyond it, roll through the tunnel and bomb your way through to reach that very pink room again.
Spazer Beam
Drop to the bottom and roll through the tunnel to the exit in the bottom-right corner. Blast through with a Super Missile and proceed to the next room, making your way down and right. When you see the pipe way up on the wall, wall jump off the right wall, then roll through the pipe for another missile upgrade. Continue down the platforms to a blue gate, then shoot the blue button to open it. Proceed through the next door, then dash over the bridge to a green door. Open it with Super Missiles, then proceed to the next room. Descend to the bottom, then shoot through the floor and drop to the bottom of the room below. Head through the green door on the left to find a recharge station to refill your energy, then go back out and take the blue door on the right. Try to stay out of the water here as you make your way right to the next room. There, look for the out-of-place block in the ceiling, shoot it, then spin jump to the left. Wall jump off the wall through the gap you made, then run to the left and wall jump to the next ledge up. Bomb the first (and ONLY the first) block, then shoot the second one. Now morph into a ball and roll right to the door. Head through to find the Spazer Beam, which is much better than the regular Power Beam.
Return to the room where you shot the first block in the ceiling and continue right through the door. Continue right through three rooms to reach an elevator; take it down to the world of Norfair.
Norfair
Hi-Jump Boots
Much of Norfair will be inaccessible to you for the moment, simply because you don't have a strong enough suit to withstand the intense heat. You can find the Hi-Jump Boots now, though, so start off by heading through the bottom-left door to find the Energy Tank. Keep going left until you hit the blue door, then go through to the next room, which has a Chozo statue with the Hi-Jump Boots in its hand on the other side of a wall. Blast the top section of the wall and jump over to claim the boots, which gives gravity the proverbial shaft and lets you jump astronomically higher than you could before. Jump out of the room with the boots on, then leap up the platforms to the tunnel at the top; roll through it to find a missile expansion. Kill the enemies here to unlock the door, then return to the elevator and ride it back up to Brinstar.
Brinstar, Part 3
Varia Suit
Fire a Super Missile at the wall to the right of the elevator to reveal a tunnel; take it to the next room and jump up to the door in the upper-right corner. Go through, then shoot the floor by the door here to drop down. Bomb the tunnel and roll through, then head up through the door in the ceiling. Kill the enemies in this room (the Spazer should already be your default weapon of choice) and then shoot the crack in the floor and drop down to where some Space Pirates are congregating. Spazer them, then head right as far as you can go. You'll run into a nasty Mini-Kraid on the way, but a Super Missile will erase it from existence. Pass through the door, then shoot the block in the ceiling to find a route to a missile/energy recharging room. Fill up your health gauge and missiles, then drop back down to the room below and continue right to a large eyeball that blocks the door out. Shoot the open eye with three missiles to clear it away, then head through the door to face the next boss, the Kraid.
BOSS: Kraid
Your first shot should be aimed at Kraid's eyes, which will trigger his mouth to open. Give him a Super Missile to chew on, then watch in horror as Kraid rises up to his full height! Quickly leap up to the ceiling platforms and continue shooting Kraid in the eyes to make his mouth open for your Super Missiles. If Kraid chucks his claw at you, shoot it to eliminate it, and leap over the spines it shoots out of its stomach. Keep up these tactics to put Kraid in the grave.
Go through the door on the right now to find the Varia Suit, which not lets you wander around in those steaming hot areas of Norfair without a care in the world, but also cuts all damage by half. Not bad! Head back through Kraid's lair, and through all the rooms until you reach the once-metal door to the left. It should be flashing now, so go through to find an Energy Tank to boost your life gauge. Now head back to the elevator and take it back down to Norfair.
Norfair, Part 2
Go through the uppermost door on the right when the elevator stops, then exit the next room via the red door to the upper-right. Fall into the third pit from the left and roll around in the lava as a morph ball, letting off bombs to find a missile expansion. Now go right and pass through the green door to a room that will start filling up with lava as soon as you step inside. Quickly make it over the platforms to the door at the far right and move along to the next room, which boasts floating bubbles that you can use as platforms. Go right as far as you can go and shoot the floor to drop down. Leap over the spikes for another missiles expansion, then jump out and set off a bomb at the middle tile. Roll through the tunnel, bombing your way through to the bottom, then head through the door in the floor. Descend through the room to the bottom-right door and go through it. Head through the next door at the far right of this room, then take the door directly across from that one next. Leap over the platforms, then roll through the passage as a morph ball. Shoot the ceiling beyond it, then leap up to the door at the upper-left corner of the room. In the next room, morph into a ball and roll onto the moving platform. Ride it past the spikes, then jump over the pillars to the gate. Morph into a ball after that and ride the next "ripper" platform as far as you can before it submerges into the lava, then head through the door. Head up through this room, then shoot through the red door on the right. Leap over the first two platforms in this room to the third one, let it drop a bit, then jump to the next platform to avoid being knocked down. Continue to the ledge with the gate and blast it open to find another missile expansion.
Wave Beam
Jump into the pit to the right and wall jump up to the ledge (this is a very precise maneuver, so the less dexterous of you may have trouble with this). Shoot through the door there and claim the Wave Beam from the Chozo statue, which makes your Spazer Beam twice as powerful and allows you to shoot through walls! Go back out and drop down into the spike pike, making sure to fall through the middle spikes, which are fakes. You'll be in the corridor below, so go left through the door to the shaft again. This time, take the upper-left door.
Speed Booster
You'll be in the room with the bubbles. Head up to the green door on the right and blast through it. In the next room, shoot the right side of the ceiling, then jump up through the gap and head through the door. Here, hold down the dash button and run the entire length of the room to the right. Before going through the red door at the far right, though, shoot the ceiling for another missile upgrade. In the room beyond, shoot the sphere for the Speed Booster, which speeds up your dash to a dizzying velocity. You'll get to make immediate use of it, as the room will fill with lava the moment you grab it, so book it out of there! The next room is also suffering a similar fate, so speed dash all the way out of here. Return to the room with the bubbles now and fall through the gap in the floor. Head through the door to the left this time. Continue left to the next door and go through, then speed dash through this room to break through the barrier and Hornoads. Pass through the door at the far end, save your game at the save station, then head out into the elevator shaft.
Ice Beam
Fire a Super Missile at the upper-left green door and head through to the room beyond. Speed dash through this room to pass the gate before it closes, then head through the door. Ride the rippers across to the next door, then ascend the shaft via the platforms to the left. The exit door is in the upper-right corner, but you don't want to go through it just yet. Instead, shoot the floor beneath the door to reveal a tunnel, then roll through it to a hidden room. Pass through the door there to acquire the Ice Beam, which lets you freeze enemies and use their immobile bodies as platforms!
Return to the shaft and take that door in the upper-right hand corner. Freeze the enemies here at the height of their jumps to get over the barrier, and freeze the ripper so you can reach the door to the right. Beyond it the floor will give way, allowing you to roll through to the area you passed through previously. Now head back to the room with the bubbles via the upper-right door in the elevator shaft. When you get there, freeze the waver enemy, then use it to reach the upper-left green door. Hit it with Super Missiles and proceed to a missile expansion. After that, shoot the left corner of the floor and a gate will rise. Shoot the upper-left corner of the wall next to open up a tunnel, then let the gate raise you up as a morph ball so you can reach it. Continue through the door and leap over the platforms after you kill the enemies to reach a Reserve Tank, which, as you might guess, stores energy in reserve for dire situations (and there will most definitely be dire situations in the not-so-distant future). Take it, then shoot the nearby platform to find another missile expansion. With all those items in hand, trek back to the elevator and ride it up to Brinstar once more.
Brinstar, Part 4
Power Bombs
Head left through the string of rooms until you reach the vertical shaft, where you can freeze the rippers and use them to platform all the way to the top of the room. Shoot the ceiling out to reach the door above and to the right, then head into the next room. Traverse the platforms here to the next door, go through, then note the elevator here (it leads to a different part of Crateria). We won't be taking it yet, though; instead shoot the floor out and take it down to a green door in the lower-left corner. Blast through it and freeze the enemies here so you can make it across the spikes to the Chozo statue with the sphere in its hand. Shoot it to find the Power Bombs, which have quite a blast range, and open the yellow doors! Use one right off the bat to level the wall behind the Chozo statue to reveal another missile expansion, then return to the elevator shaft. Head up and go through the blue door on the right to save your game, then take the green door in the upper-left. Head left through this room and lay a Power Bomb to blow a hole in the floor. Drop down into the manflower there to find your first Power Bomb expansion, which increases your P.B.'s by five to a total of ten. Go back to the elevator shaft again, then open the yellow door (the door you came through) with a Power Bomb. Head back to the elevator shaft that leads to Norfair and ride it down in to the fiery depths once more.
Norfair, Part 3
Head left through the door there and speed dash past the gate to the section of floor that gives way when you drop a Power Bomb near it. Drop down, then head left through the door. Fire at the left wall to reveal a missile upgrade, then carefully drop to the platform below you. Quickly jump from this platform to the next one, which will crumble on impact, and immediately leap again to grab the expansion. Those in hand, go to the bottom of the room and head through the lower-right door. Speed dash through this long room to break through the blocks to reach a small shaft. Head through the upper-right blue door here to save your game, then go back out and blast through the green door in the floor to face the next boss, Crocomire.
BOSS: Crocomire
You may think that Power Bombs are the key to beating Crocomire, since you just acquired them, but they're not, so don't even bother; in fact, they'll only make things worse. Alternatively, you should fire missiles and Super Missiles to knock Crocomire successive steps backward to win the fight. You can shoot Crocomire's balls of flame, and as long as you stay far enough away from his claws, you should be fine. Fire missiles into his mouth whenever it's open, and when you've knocked him back a good distance, let your Super Missiles push him back the rest of the way to the bridge. Crocomire's weight will be too much for the little bridge, causing it to snap and deposit Crocomire in the acid below.
Grapple Beam
Go left to the wall of spikes to witness a little scare. Afterward, head through the demolished spike wall to the door and pass through to the next room. The bottom right door leads to a save room, so make that your first priority, then take the blue door in the floor down to another shaft. Drop to the platform, then shoot through the red door on the right wall and enter the next room. Head all the way to the right and roll through the tunnel for a missile upgrade, then leave the room and take the door in the floor this time. Lay down a Power Bomb to clear the path, then speed dash from the right wall to the left to bust through the barrier and jump at the edge of the floor to reach the ledge above and to the left. Pass through the door to grab your Grapple Beam!
Head to the top of this room now and use the Grapple Beam to grapple over to the right door. Grapple across this next room and go through the door, then freeze the enemies here to platform to the top of the room, where you can grapple up to a grapple point and swing to the exit. Grapple through this next room to the gate, open it up, then head through the door to the first shaft. Go through the door in the ceiling, save your game in the save room again if you want, then ride the platform to the upper-right blue door, but don’t go through it. Instead, turn around and grapple onto the flying ripper, then swing to the left, where a red door is located. Blast through it to find a Power Bomb expansion, then leave and head through the upper-blue door to the room where you fought Crocomire. Head to the far right end of the room and grapple over the acid to reach a ledge with an Energy Tank on it. Grab it, then swing back over and head through the door in the ceiling. Take the door in the upper-left corner and grapple to the left of the next room to reach a missile expansion. Blast open the gate after that and go through to find yourself in the elevator shaft to Brinstar again. Take it on up.
Brinstar, Part 5
X-Ray Scope
Run left through all those rooms again to the tall shaft. Climb up past the hornoad to the upper section of the room, then drop a Power Bomb on the left wall to clear away the blocks. The blast should open the yellow door behind the blocks as well, so go on through to the next room, which is quite dark. Don’t shoot the fire fleas, as they’re the only source of light here, but you can freeze them. Grapple to the red door, blast through it, and proceed. Get on the platform here and drop a bomb to make it lift you to the morph ball tunnel. Roll on over to the Chozo statue with the sphere in its hand, and shoot it to claim your X-Ray Scope, which can see through walls when you push the dash button. Equip it and use it to see a secret path behind the statue that you can bomb to. Head to the end of the path, then set off a bomb to lift a gate. Roll right through the blocks and leave the room, grappling and jumping through the next to get back to the shaft. Climb all the way to the top of it, taking the upper-right door, then head through the next room to reach the elevator shaft to the east side of Crateria. Ride it up.
Crateria, Part 3
Power Bomb through the yellow door in the ceiling, then climb up to the ceiling and shoot through it to get to the upper level. Go through the left door and proceed through the next room to end up in a familiar location: the landing site. Bomb your way to the ship to power up and save your game, then head to the right side of the room. Speed dash to the left and stop when you get to the hill to the left of your ship. Immediately press Down to store up the energy, then turn to the right, aim diagonally-up, then jump to launch yourself to the upper-right corner of this area. You should land on a balcony next to a yellow door; Power Bomb through it and fight through the dragons in the next room with your Ice Beam to reach a Power Bomb expansion. Return to the landing site now and speed dash across the ledge, jumping at the end to spin jump across the room and through some blocks to a blue door on the left wall. Shoot through it, and enter the room. Power Bomb through the walls here to the left to the end, then head through the door to find another Energy Tank.
Once you grab the tank, drop a Power Bomb by the Chozo statue and let the acid level drop, then take this route to a platform. Get on top of it and cross the platforms, wait for the acid to go down, then leap over the pillars to a wall of spikes. Power Bomb through it and jump through to another door. In the next room, shoot a hole you can fit through, then jump to the middle of the floor. The floor will disintegrate and you will drop. Shoot the walls to either side to find two missile expansions. At the bottom, go left through the blue door and then the one after that. Take the lift down to Brinstar once more.
Brinstar, Part 6
Head through the upper-right door here and speed dash through this room to get past the closing gates. Shoot through the red door and proceed to a Chozo statue holding a Reserve Tank. Take it, then roll under the statue for a missile expansion. Let off three bombs next to the pedestal here to find yet another missile expansion, then go back to the room with the gates. They’re closed, but you can circumvent them by shooting the ceiling over the door and heading left. You’ll find a Super Missile expansion this way; drop through the pedestal after you grab them to land on the other side of the gates, allowing you to leave the room stage left. Drop to the floor and detonate a Power Bomb, then fall through the gap to the bottom and head through the lower-left door. Morph into a ball and bomb the hornoads to reach the next room, where an Energy Tank awaits. Don’t rush up to it though; a look through your X-Ray Scope will reveal a pit right in front of it. Run and jump over the secret pit to grab the Energy Tank, then head through the green door behind it for a Super Missile upgrade. Now go back out and fall through that pit to the room below. Save in the room to the left, then go right, rolling under the spikes and leaping over the platforms. Missile the hornoads on your way to the door, then step through to the next room to find some creatures that will teach the uneducated how to wall jump. Wall jump up this shaft to the morph ball tunnel on the right, then morph into a ball mid-jump on your way over there so you can roll through it. You’ll find a Power Bomb expansion here, so take it, then roll back through the passage and drop down. Wall jump to the top again, this time heading through the upper-left door. Head up here, Power Bombing through the ceiling to reach the elevator shaft again.
Go through the lower-right door this time, speed dashing to the right to break through the walls. You’ll fall into a pit with a Dachola bird, which will teach the uneducated how to perform charged jumps. The door on the left leads to an energy recharge station, so power up, then run right to the shaft, press Down to charge the jump, then jump up to get back to the corridor where you speed dashed. Continue right and go through the door to reach the very pink room again. Power Bomb through the yellow door on the right wall and head through the door to the next room. Kill the enemies here and grapple to the block above. Swing around and land on top of it, then leap to the right and shoot the button on the other side of the gate with the Wave Beam to open it. Grapple up again and swing through the open gate, then head through the flashing door beyond to find an Energy Tank. Return to the previous room, bomb your way out, kill those hoppers again, then head out through the door. Head up to where the hoppers are in this room, kill them, then grapple to the left to reach a missile expansion. Drop through the gap after that, then detonate a Power Bomb to open another hole. If you use your X-Ray Scope you can see the hidden route; take it to the next room. Make your way across the room, then bomb the out-of-place block with a Super Missile. Fall through the gap for a Power Bomb expansion, then stand on the pedestal and fire at the gate behind it to make it rise. Roll through and head through to get back to the pink-colored shaft. Take the bottom-right door again, then in the next room, jump up to the door on the right wall and head through. Continue right to the pillar, which you can bomb to create a tunnel. Roll through for a Power Bomb expansion. Place another bomb at the tunnel’s end to expand it, and follow it to where you found the Morph Ball much earlier in the game. Ride the nearby elevator back up to Crateria.
Crateria, Part 4
Go left two rooms to the escape shaft, then ascend it until you see the short blue platform on the right wall. Let off a bomb there and roll through the tunnel to a yellow door, then Power Bomb through that and proceed. Go right, freeze the boyon enemies (four in total), then speed dash to the right from the door and stop to charge up before you collide with the wall. Jump high up the shaft to reach the Super Missile expansion on the right. Go left now and grapple over the pit to the door and go through. Bomb the tunnel and roll left to return to the shaft. Go through the door in the ceiling, then trek back to your ship to save your game and power up again. Head right after that to the top of the elevator shaft (the one that leads down to Brinstar) and Power Bomb through the yellow door on the right. Go through to the next room and grapple over the pools of water. Grab the missile expansion off the platform, then continue grappling to the right. Head through the door to the next area, which is quite spacious. Jump into the water here and walk left on the bottom to the wall. Shoot at it to reveal a passage, then jump toward it, morphing into a ball as you drop down to it. Hold left so you roll inside, and follow the tunnel to a missile expansion. Leave, then return to the door where you came in and grapple over the platforms to the right. After the grappling points you’ll have to use a ripper to grapple to the next platform. Continue right to a green door, then blast through it to enter the wrecked ship.
Wrecked Ship
Not much to see here with the power out…just run right and go through the door to the main shaft. The door across the way leads to a save station, but since the power’s out, it’s useless, so ignore it for now. Descend the stairs in the main shaft, past the metal door, to the left wall. Bomb open the secret path there and roll through to find a missile expansion. Take it, then return to the main shaft and continue going down to the bottom. Shoot the floor and roll through the tunnel there to reach a green door in the floor. Super Missile it and drop down to the next room. Go all the way to the right wall, bomb the corner of it, then roll through to another door being guarded by a large feisty eyeball. Launch a Super Missile right into its cornea to clear it away, then go through the door to face the next boss, Phantoon.
BOSS: Phantoon
Resist the urge to pump this ocular green menace full of Super Missiles, as they will agitate the heck out him; alternatively, use charged shots from your Spazer to hit Phantoon whenever his one eye opens up. Phantoon floats around the room in a looping pattern and rains flames down on you (which you can shoot, by the way), and he never deviates from this. Unless, of course, you use Super Missiles, but since I told you not to you won’t, will you? Keep shooting Phantoons flames and firing charged shots into his eye whenever it’s open to win the battle.
Phantoon’s death literally sparks the electricity to life in the wrecked ship, which means the save/map stations will be available for your use! Trek back to the main shaft and climb the stairs until you see the flashing door on the left, then go through it to find a Super Missile upgrade. Return to the shaft and head to the right wall across from the door. Bomb it to find a passage you can roll through to find a door. Continue to the next room and cross the conveyor belt where you’ll find a robot of sorts. Leap over it, and when you reach the second one, detonate a Power Bomb behind it to find four passages. You’ll want the third one from the top (second from the bottom), which will take you to a Super Missile upgrade. Take it and head on back to the main shaft. Use the save station now, then keep going up to the ceiling. Shoot it, then continue up to the door in the ceiling. Go through it to reach a long horizontal corridor, with doors at either end of it; they’ll only unlock when you clear this place of enemies. Kill everything that moves, then take the door on the right. Traverse the conveyor belts here to the missile expansion, claim it, then return to the previous room. This time, take the left door back to Crateria.
Crateria, Part 5
Cross the platforms here to the ripper, then jump on top of it and let it take you to another ripper, this one a little higher up. Jump to it and let it take you to one more ripper, which you should of course jump onto. When you get near the rock, shoot it to find a missile expansion. Spin jump to it, then fall. Go left and put on your X-Ray Scope so you can see the secret passages in the wall. Shoot a Super Missile at the appropriate one, then go through and let off a bomb against the left wall to find a missile expansion. Roll back, shoot the block leading to the first part of the tunnel, then jump up to it, morphing into a ball midair so you can roll through. Fire a Super Missile at the first block, then jump out of there. Go right with the X-Ray Scope on to see a sandstone block; shoot it, then follow this tunnel to a door. Go through to another door and pass through that one, then head into the one after that to re-enter the wrecked ship.
Wrecked Ship, Part 2
Gravity Suit
Lotsa spikes here…lotsa spikes. Grapple over them to an empty-handed Chozo statue. Morph into a ball in its hand and you’ll be carried back across the room and down a secret staircase to a new room. Lay a bomb by the door to find a secret passage; roll through it to the right and set off a Power Bomb at the end to set yourself free. Go right to find a missile expansion, then drop a Power Bomb behind the Chozo statue here to find another secret path. Go right and speed dash over the conveyor belt. Before you hit the wall, stop and hit Down to charge your energy, then jump up the shaft to the top. Go left through the disintegrating blocks. You’ll see a Reserve Tank ahead of you, but a quick look through the X-Ray Scope reveals that there is a hidden pit right in front of it. Jump over the gap to claim the Reserve Tank, then fall through the pit. Head left through the door when you land to find the Gravity Suit, which gives you normal weight when underwater. Continue through the left door to go outside again, then drop down into the water. Go right across the platforms to get back to the first room of the wrecked ship again.
Go through the door to the right again to reach the main shaft, then head down one set of stairs to the door below the one leading to the save station. Go through this door and proceed to the door (you couldn’t reach it without the Gravity Suit, unless you’re a spectacular wall-jumper). Head through this door to a room with a spiked platform and wait for it to drop, then get on top of it. Quickly jump between the spikes, repeating this proceed to get across the room. In the next room, shoot the ceiling and jump up, climbing to the next ceiling. Shoot through that as well, and keep going to the upper-left red door. Go through and jump into the water. With haste, leap over the sensor platforms to find an Energy Tank, then get your bad self all the way back to Crateria.
Crateria, Part 6
You’ll probably want to save your game, so do so at your ship, with the added benefits of refilling all your energy and missiles. Continue to the door on the left and go inside, then drop down the escape shaft and go right to the elevator shaft. Ride it down to Brinstar.
Brinstar, Part 7
Go right through the door, and continue through the right door after that. Shoot all the baddies in this room, then detonate a Power Bomb at the large obstruction to the right to blow it away. Shoot the ceiling here to the left of it to find an Energy Tank, then go left and speed dash to the right, stopping and pressing down directly beneath the shaft above in the obstruction. Jump up through that shaft with the stored energy, then press Left when you reach the apex of your jump to land on solid ground, then head through the nearby door. Equip the X-Ray Scope to find the invisible bridge, then jump up to it and cross it. Head through the next door to find a missile expansion, then drop a bomb to the left of the pedestal to find yet another missile expansion! Go back out the door and march all the way back to the elevator to Crateria.
This time head left past the elevator and knock down the wall with a Power Bomb. Bomb the pillars to continue left, and keep heading through west until you reach the very pink room again. Bomb the blocks in the lower-left area of the room and take the tunnel to where you found the Charge Beam earlier in the game. Detonate a Power Bomb there to clear another path, and take it to a red door. Blow through it and go through. Kill the enemies here, then speed dash from the right wall to the left to break through the wall and reach an area with another Energy Tank. Take it, then return to the pink room. Take the bottom-right door and take the bottom-right door in the next room. Keep heading east until you reach the shaft, then head down through the floor to the true bottom of the room. Go through the rooms to the right to reach the glass tube, then do the unthinkable: blow it up. A Power Bomb will open up paths above and below the tube; go down first to use the save station, then go up and head through the door in the ceiling to reach Maridia.
Maridia
Head through the red door to your right, kill the enemies in here, then turn around and blast open the door again (but don’t go through it!). Go right to the green gate, fire a Super Missile at it, and continue right to the door. Don’t go through it; instead, face left and speed dash in that direction. As you approach the door, store the charged energy, then run through it and perform the charged jump when you’re aligned with the leftmost plant in this room. You should rocket up to a missile expansion. As you fall, hold Left on the control pad to land on a ledge. Continue to the upper-right door at the top of the room and head through to a large room. Descend the platforms here until you land on a hill, then morph into a ball and roll down the slope until you drop off. Hold Left on the control pad as you fall to roll into a tunnel, which takes you to another room with a Super Missile expansion. Grab it, then return to the large room. Go right to a door in the floor, then descend to the room below. Don’t bother trying to kill the pink-colored Space Pirates yet, because you can’t. Go left, leaping over the first pit and falling down the second one. Go right to a red door and blast through. In the next room, go right as far as you can to find the large ripper. Get on top of it, wait for it to stop, then grapple to the block above, using it to swing to an Energy Tank. Drop back down, lure the ripper to the right, and when it spins toward you, jump on top of it. Ride it as it ascends to the ceiling, shooting the right wall to reveal a missile expansion, then jump over there to grab it.
Head back two rooms (the large room with the grappling points) and go to the upper-left door (the one from which you originally entered). Grapple across the room to the upper-right door and go through that to the next room. Head to the top of the room and through the door in the ceiling. Go right as far as you can, then whip out the X-Ray Scope and scan the wall to discover that you can pass through it. Keep going to find a missile expansion, then go left to the gap in the ceiling and jump up there. Head up out of the water, then go left through the door. Proceed west through this room to another fake wall, then jump through and continue up the shaft to a door in the upper-left corner. Go left, then down the shaft to the floor. Scan around for a fake spot in the floor, then drop down for missile and Super Missile expansions. Now go back to the room just right of the large grappling room and shoot through the floor to find an even lower section of the room. Go right to the green door and blast through to the next room.
Drop a Power Bomb at the floor to clear a gap, then drop down to the floor. Go left through the door to use the save station, then come back out and speed dash to the right to break through the walls, then stop and charge the energy beneath the shaft above. Power jump up that shaft to find a missile expansion, then head right to find a Super Missile expansion. Fall through the disintegrating blocks to the floor, then speed dash left to just before the low ceiling; that’s where you’ll want to press Down, then make the charged jump up. Hold left so you land on the ledge, then head through the door in the ceiling. Kill the enemies in here, then shoot the wall to the right to clear enough room to speed dash left and break the blocks there. Speed dash to the right after that to break through the blocks in that direction, then go through the door to face the next boss, Botwoon.
BOSS: Botwoon
Finally, we can use Super Missiles on a boss again! Don’t bother shooting Botwoon anywhere but the head, as hits to the body deal no damage whatsoever. Stay far to the left during this battle to avoid being hit by his body; his bolts of energy will be another matter, though, and you probably won’t be able to dodge them. No matter, just keep firing Super Missiles at Botwoon’s head until the beast is done.
Space Jump
Continue right once Botwoon has fallen and pass through the door there to the next room. Go right to the quicksand and spin jump to the tunnel above it, morphing into a ball mid-jump to reach a tunnel leading to an Energy Tank. Continue through the passage to a door on the right and go through it. Grapple up this room to the door in the upper-right corner and head through to a large room filled with Motchroids (easily killed with a shot from the Grapple Beam). Head right, avoiding the sand (as spikes can be hidden in it) and grapple the rest of the way to the right wall. Go through the upper-right one for a save station and an energy recharging station beyond that, then through the lower-right door after you’ve visited those. Go right over the spikes and shoot the pipe in the wall to find a missile expansion. Return to the first pit of spikes and fall down off the center platform. Blast through the huge eyeball to reach the door in the floor, then head through that to face another boss, and believe me, this one will put up more of a fight than that last one…
BOSS: Draygon
Go left past the turrets and watch the little Evirs fly away; this signals the appearance of the big daddy himself, Draygon. First thing’s first: get rid of the turrets on the wall to make some space, then watch Draygon’s attacks: if he swipes his tail at you, become a morph ball and stay stationary, and if you get caught in the slimy stuff, just press Right and Left on the control pad to get out. Behind the destroyed turrets you’ll see some electricity; this will be the key to wiping Draygon out. Stand as far to the left as you can and get stuck in the slime, then let Draygon pick you up. Quickly shoot your Grapple Beam at the live wires, and if you make contact, the electricity will surge through you and, by connection, Draygon, killing him on the spot! If this method seems unfair, you can just unload about 20 Super Missiles into his belly, but a level playing field should be the last thing on a true bounty hunter’s mind.
Spring Ball
Walk through the door on the left and shoot the sphere in the Chozo statue’s hand to find the Space Jump, which lets you keep jumping midair as many times as you desire as long as you’re spin jumping. Return to Draygon’s lair and space jump to the upper-right door. Go through, then take the upper-left exit in the next room. Space jump over the walls to reach the left exit, then drop to bottom of the shaft beyond that. Take the blue door (not the flashing one) on the left wall, then speed dash left through the blocks to the sand. Let it suck you down to the room below, then the room below that one. Take the door all the way left, then fall to the floor and go right. Shoot the floor here to find a tunnel you can roll through. It will take you to a sand pit which lets you sink down two rooms. Head up the left shaft to find a missile expansion, then go down and head right to another shaft. Ascend it, then roll as a morph ball onto the block below; it will disintegrate. Hold Right as you fall through the blocks to reach a Power Bomb expansion. Get out of the shaft and let the sand pit at the bottom of the room take you down to the room below this one. Spin jump right through the room to the door, then go through to the next room. Shoot the grapple point with your Grapple Beam and watch as the block crumbles; you’ll want to space jump up there to the top of the shaft, then down the other side. Head through the door on the right wall, then drop a Power Bomb on the other side to clear the wall to your right. Let the shaktool bore through the sand ahead of you, clearing a path to the door. Go through it, then morph into a ball and roll through the passage to find the Spring Ball, which lets you jump around in morph ball mode!
Plasma Beam
Jump out of the passages to reach the door, go through it, then head back through this room to the one before it. Go left there and fall through the disintegrating blocks to reach a door to the left. Pass through it to the next door on the left, go through that one, then cross the next room going left to reach another door. On the other side of it, set off a Power Bomb to clear the ceiling, go through the green door above, then jump up through this incredibly tall shaft to reach an area with sand. Head to the top of the shaft and then drop to the flashing door and go through it. Kill the enemies in here as you proceed through the room, then head through the blue door on the right. Head through this room to the next room on the right, which houses pink-colored Space Pirates. But you can’t kill them! Fall to the lower-right corner of the room to find a Chozo statue holding a sphere; shoot it to obtain the Plasma Beam, the most powerful beam in the game! Blast the Space Pirates to ash with it to open the door out of here, then return to the room with the sand.
Go left through the water to reach the floor, then go right through the door. Proceed to the next door on the right, then the door on the right after that one. Fall to the bottom in this room, then use a combination of space jumps and the spring ball to get through to the door in the lower-right corner. Go through, fall to the bottom of this shaft, then head through the door on the left. Speed dash through this room to the left, then drop down in one of the patches of quicksand to reach the room two below this one. Head through the left door to the next room and drop to the bottom of it, then shoot through the floor as you did earlier to reveal the tunnel. Roll through it, then space jump over the first pit of quicksand to the second one on the left. Drop down this second pit. Leap to the ledge on the right and shoot the block above to find a tunnel; jump through it and go left. Use your X-Ray Scope to find some disintegrating blocks on the floor and a sandstone one in the ceiling. Shoot the sandstone one and spring ball to the passage, taking it to a missile expansion, and then a Reserve Tank to the right of that. Now fall through the quicksand to the room below, then roll left to the door and go through it. Continue left to the next door, then roll under the platform in the next room to the area below. Go through the blue door on the left, continuing left over the platforms to a gate. Shoot the button with a Super Missile and fall to the room below. Head right through the door to get back to Brinstar.
Brinstar, Part 8
You’re in the elevator shaft down to Norfair. Shoot the right wall with a Super Missile, then spring ball to the tunnel. Take it to the door on the right and go through. Head around to the door in the ceiling (down the shaft and to the right), go through the door, then head right to a barricade. Let off a Power Bomb there to reveal a tunnel, then roll through it to find another missile expansion. Now head back to the elevator shaft and ride it down to Norfair.
Norfair, Part 4
When you arrive, head through the lower-right door to save your game. Continue through the door on the right and speed dash through this room to break through the walls (and any enemies dumb enough to stand in front of you). Go through the door on the right, then make your way to the next door on the right and head through to reach the room with the bubbles. Descend through the door in the floor, fall down to the bottom of the shaft, then go through the door in the lower-right corner. Proceed through this room and beyond the next door to another shaft which you should drop to the bottom of. Go left through the yellow door to reach a lava lake just begging to boil you down to your bones…if you weren’t wearing the Gravity Suit, that is! Go through the left tunnel to get a look around, then go back and drop down. Go left to the dead end, then space jump to the upper-left door. Head through the dragon’s mouth to reach the next room, which houses an elevator. Go left for a save station, then come out and ride the lift down to the lower levels of Norfair.
Screw Attack
Go left over the acid (which you are NOT immune to) to the door and head through. Lots of acid in here. Space jump left to the ledge, then let off a Power Bomb to reveal a Chozo statue. Morph into a ball in its hand and the acid will drain from the room. Drop down now and roll through the passage, bombing through to the door to the right. Put on the X-Ray Scope to see that the floor will give way if you walk on it, then jump over those blocks to the missile expansion. Once you have it, drop down through the blocks and head right. The Golden Torizo will drop in on you for a little brawl!
BOSS: Golden Torizo
The Golden Torizo is much like the original Torizo you fought so long ago, except that it’s stronger and faster. Space jump over its beams of energy, or the G.T. itself if it gets too close. You won’t want to use Super Missiles here because G.T. has a tendency to grab them and chuck them back at you! Instead, use charged shots from the Plasma Beam to deplete its life; 15 ought to do it.
With the statue gone, jump to the ledge by the ceiling and detonate a Power Bomb to reveal a Super Missile expansion. Grab it, then drop down and head through the door to the right to find the Screw Attack, which turns your spin jump into a deadly weapon that can cut through blocks and enemies alike! Suh-weet. Screw attack up through the ceiling and go through the first door on the right to use the energy recharging station. Come back out and continue jumping to the upper-right door. Go through. Screw attack through this room to the gate, hit the button with a Super Missile, then continue right to the door and head through. There’s a path through the ceiling in this room, but we’re going to ignore it for now; head through the door on the right instead. Screw attack through this room as well to the door on the right, moving quickly as the acid rises. In the next room, jump up the shaft with the screw attack, killing the gold Space Pirates and breaking through the blocks to the ceiling. Shoot through it, then head up to the door to the left and go through. Drop to the platform below, then shoot the block in the middle so you can drop down further as a morph ball. Roll left as far as you can, then let off a Power Bomb to clear away the platform (except where you’re standing). Roll left after that to grab a missile expansion, then roll back to the shaft and jump back to the door you came in from and return to the previous room. Now take the upper-right door this time to enter a rather large room. Fall down to the bottom here to see that the room is quickly filling up with acid! Screw attack up to the ledge at the top of the room and run right through the door. Head through this suspicious little hallway to the door on the right and go through to the next room. Super Missile the wall hugger, then jump through the wall it was hugging and fall down the shaft onto the claw. Space jump left to the platform below, then right to an Energy Tank. Return to where you blasted the wall hugger and climb up this shaft to the blue door. Don’t go through it; instead, head left through the invisible path in the wall to another blue door, and go through this one.
Space jump over the spikes here, then up to the top of the room. Go right to find a missile expansion, then set off a Power Bomb to open up some tunnels. Spring ball through the top one. When you fall, spring ball up while holding Right so that you can continue through to a blue door. Head through it to find a Power Bomb expansion, then take the blue door to the left, which leads to a previous shaft. Take the invisible path in the left wall again and go through the door. Space jump over the spikes as before, then head through the upper-left door. Space jump left to a tunnel, then roll through to a ledge. Drop a bomb to the right of the black space beneath the ledge, then spring ball over the very last missile expansion. Now return to that “suspicious little hallway” and Power Bomb through the floor to find some passages. Roll through one of them to descend through the shaft, then go through the door on the right to find a save station. Save your game, then return to the shaft and continue bombing down to a tunnel leading to the right. When you reach the idol, Power Bomb it to smithereens and head through the door in the floor behind it. From the Chozo carving, let off a Power Bomb and ride the gate up to the tunnel. Roll left through it, then screw attack to more Chozo carvings. Power Bomb those to open up another passage to the left. Head through it to find the last Power Bomb expansion, then roll back out and drop down onto the platform. Roll to the ledge as the platform descends, then drop down onto the second platform. Ride it down, then go through the door to the left. You have to kill the Space Pirates in here, but the only way to make them vulnerable to attack is to jump over them. Once they turn gold, blast them with the Plasma Beam, then head through the unlocked door the left. Continue to the door on the left in this room, and in the next, make your way over the large eye. Nuke it with a Super Missile. If you’re not at full health/missiles, go back to where the hornets spawn and keep shooting them for the power-ups. When you’re sufficiently beefed up, head through the door where the eye was and drop down to face Ridley again. And this time, the battle is for real!
BOSS: Ridley
The fight begins with Ridley flying to the top of the room as the bottom fills with acid. As if this battle wasn’t challenging enough. Super Missiles are the name of the game here, since they’re fast and powerful, and there’s nothing Ridley can do about it. When he tries to bounce around with his tail out, morph into a ball and roll beneath him to the other side, quickly jumping up to stop the attack and firing a couple Super Missiles at him. Always stay to one side of Ridley, as he’ll grab you if you’re directly beneath him. If he swoops down at you from the air, space jump over him. Continue firing Super Missiles at Ridley until he starts speeding up, but be warned, as he’ll speed up again when you’ve damaged him further. Eventually, he’ll go crazy and try to grab you, but don’t worry if he does; he’s done at this point. Assuming all of them make contact, it’ll take 30 Super Missiles to take him down.
When the acid level goes down, head through the left door to find the last Energy Tank in the game. Your health gauge can’t get any higher than this, which means you are one powerful bounty hunter. Now trek on back to the elevator going to the upper level of Norfair, riding it up and saving in the nearby save station room. Now head back to the elevator going to Brinstar and ride it up. Go left through the rooms, up the shaft, through the upper-right door, and over to the shaft leading up to Crateria.
Crateria, Part 7
Go back to your ship and head left into the next room. Screw attack through the blocks and go through the left door, then head downhill to the door to the next room. There, drop to the floor and head right through the red door. Cross this room and pass through the door at the far right end to find the room of the guardians, i.e. the four major bosses you’ve fought and killed. Their spirits will be released and the floor will sink, revealing a way down to an elevator. Ride that down into the depths of metroid-infested Tourian.
Tourian
As stated, metroids pervade every corner of Tourian. The best way to deal with them is freeze them with the Ice Beam, then finish them off with a Super Missile, but if they managed to grab you, morph into a ball and drop three or four Power Bombs to quickly kill it. When the elevator stops, head through the lower-right door to save your game, then come out and take the lower-left door to the next room. Kill all the metroids here to unlock the door, and continue left to the next room. More metroids in this shaft, but you know how to handle them. Kill them all to proceed through the lower-right door. Again, kill the metroids in the hall to unlock the door to the right, then go through. Kill the metroids in this shaft, then drop through the door in the floor. Finally, a break in the metroid brigade. Go left to the door at the end, head through, then shoot the Chozo statue to make it crumble. Continue left through the door to the next room, where more easily-slain beasties await the receiving end of your Plasma Beam, if you so choose. Go left and watch the large hopper get soul-sucked by the even larger metroid, then get ready to fight that monster yourself! Just kidding. There’s nothing you can do to hurt that thing. It will suck your life down to critical levels, then take off when you’re an inch from death. Follow it to the next room, where you’ll have to shoot through the debris to reach the bottom. Use the missile recharging station through the left door there, then leave and take the red door to the right. Proceed right to the large eye blocking the door, Super Missile it into oblivion, then pass through to the next shaft. Go through the blue door directly beneath the one you came in from to save your game, then take the bottom-left door. Acid will begin to fill the room, and you’ll need to missile the Zebetites to get past them in order to escape this room. Roll through the tunnel after the second & third Zebetites to find another one. Kill it, then go through the gap to find one more to slay. After it’s dead, roll through the passage to find the intrinsically evil Mother Brain.
BOSS: Mother Brain, Part 1
Blast the glass tube holding Mother Brain with six missiles to shatter it, then fire Super Missiles into Mother Brain herself until this stage of the fight ends. Easy enough.
BOSS: Mother Brain, Part 2
But the fight has just begun! Mother Brain returns with an enormous mechanical body, making her mobile and infinitely more dangerous! Start off by launching a bevy of Super Missiles into her eye; this will really make her mad, prompting her to retaliate. Her laser can be dodged by staying rooted to the floor, and you can avoid her blue rings by jumping over them at the last second. Do the same with her bombs; they’ll go off when they stop bouncing. Fire Super Missile after Super Missile into her, taking care to keep your health gauge high. When she pulls her head back, that’s the signal that she’s about to unleash a monstrous laser beam from her grotesque hands. Whatever you do, do NOT get hit by it, or you’ll lose two energy tanks’ worth of health! Keep firing your missiles into her after this, and MAKE SURE your health is above 300 points, for when you deal the finishing blow, you’ll be hit with a laser that knocks that much health off you, as well as deactivates your missiles and Power Bombs. Hit the D-pad repeatedly to get back up after this crippling attack, if you can, and keep attacking until the next laser hits you. Eventually you won’t be able to get back up, and she’ll prepare to end your life for good. But then the humungous metroid from earlier pops in and grabs onto Mother Brain’s head, sucking her dry!
The metroid then transfers the drained energy to you, fully replenishing your health. But Mother Brain, still not yet dead, gets up and slaughters the metroid with a flurry of attacks. The metroid’s remains fall on Samus, passing onto her an immense power that combines her beam attacks into the Hyper Beam. Did I say earlier that the Plasma Beam was the most powerful beam in the game? Well, I lied. The Hyper Beam takes the cake, and it’s the only thing that can kill Mother Brain for good. Get up and get ready for the final confrontation!
FINAL BOSS: Mother Brain, Part 3
The hard work’s already been done, though. You’re brimming with energy, so just stand stationary and continuously fire the Hyper Beam into Mother Brain until she screams her last scream.
The Escape
You now have three minutes to get off Zebes before the whole place goes up in flames! Head through the left door, then run up to the gates, which can be passed with the Hyper Beam. Keep going left and drop through the door in the floor. Take the next door in the lower-right corner, then shoot the Space Pirate in the next room. Leap to the platform it was on, then speed dash to the right to kill the other Pirates there. Keep an eye out for a gap in the ceiling; you’ll want to jump through that and keep going right through the Space Pirates to a wall. Leap to the ledge above and go left to another gap in the ceiling, then head through that and head right to a door. Go through and start making your way up the platforms to the top, then fall through the opening to the right. Head left, then fall down the shaft, cueing the room to start filling up with acid. Wonderful. Space jump from platform to platform, then head through the gap above and head right through the door to reach Crateria. Go right and shoot through the bendezium wall to reach the escape shaft. Quickly ascend it, taking the door in the ceiling. Go right in the next room, and when you pass the opening, morph into a ball and roll through the passage to the door below. Head through it, then run right to find the friendly creatures from the game trapped in the room. Shoot through the right wall to set them free, then return to the previous room and climb up, taking the door on the right to reach your ship. Get in and fly off as the planet explodes in all its fiery glory!
Nicely done, bounty hunter. You have beat Super Metroid and the galaxy is a safer place thanks to you.
