Turnabout Memories

In the first chapter of the game it starts immediately in the court room. In the first court session it shows a case that happened 5 years in the past and you're playing as Mia Fey. This case has you defending Phoenix Wright before he became the lawyer we all know and love.

The first question asked is what is the cause of death of the victim, which from the court record is stated as Fatal Electric Shock. After that you are asked what was the cause of bad blood between Phoenix and the victim, which you can go into the profiles in the court record and select Dahlia Hawthorne, who is Phoenix's girlfriend.

Cross Examination

Phoenix Wright

The Victim and I

During Phoenix's first testimony press him on when he states "I never even talked to that stuck-up British wannabe!" and this will make him state that "He was always walking around with a huge Union Jack on the back of his shirt." Present the Crime Scene Photo 1. After this 2 more pieces of evidence will be added to the court record, Crime scene photo 2 and Cold Killer X.

What Really Happened

During Phoenix's second testimony press him when he says "He was in the Pharmacology Dept., so we agreed to meet at 2:45 behind that building." When asked what you should ask him more about, choose to ask him about the Pharmacology Dept. Then press him about his last statement, "But I lost my bottle of it around lunchtime on the day of the accident".

The judge will then say that they do not know the method of murder, now choose to provide a method. Present Crime Scene Photo 1, you will then be asked to point out the murder weapon. Point to the end of the electrical cable.

When I Pushed the Victim

During this testimony press him when he says "At that moment I heard some kind of loud noise." Press further when asked to and state that it is important. This will have Phoenix revise his testimony and state "After I shoved him, he fell down on top of his cheap umbrella." Present the Crime Scene Photo 1. This will add two more evidence pieces to the court record.

This ends Phoenix's testimony which afterwards he tells you how he met Dahlia and you receive Dahlia's Present into the court records. Mia then thinks that this case and another one are connected, then Newspaper Clipping is also added to the court records.

Dahlia Hawthorne

What I Witnessed

Dahlia will say that "Then suddenly...Dougie got all wobbly and just collapsed." Press her on this comment and choose to show contradiction. She'll then add to her testimony that "It didn't look like they were fighting and I didn't hear any noise either.", present Phoenix's Testimony here. She'll continue with an explanation and then you are asked to choose what option would change the whole case, choose the lightning option. This will lead to Payne describing how it could not be lightning, you will then add "Students' Testimony" to the court records.You will then be asked who or what caused the equipment to lose power, present Phoenix Wright from the profiles.

What I Witnessed Part 2

Dahlia will then state that "The cable snapping, and Dougie being electrocuted -- it all occurred in less then a minute." Present the Crime Scene Photo 2 when she says that. She will show that there is a 10 min. interval between the time when the power went out and when Doug was electrocuted. The judge will then ask who you think the real murderer is present Dahlia as the real murderer. Phoenix will try to intervene but be taken away, Grossberg will then reappear and hand you the Police Report for the other case.

How I Met my Feenie

Dahlia will state that "It's like we were destined to meet in this very courthouse's basement reading room." Press her on this statement and press further. She will then state that "I had to come to this courthouse to do some research for a paper I was writing." Present the Police Report stating that she was actually there for questioning.

The Poisoning

Dahlia's last statement is that "So you see, I'm innocent! I wouldn't even know where to get a poison like that!" Present the profile of Doug Swallow. There will be a line of questioning that states the poison needed to be carried in a container and that the police did not find it on her at the time. When asked where it is present Dahlia's Present as evidence. You'll then be asked why she would be with Phoenix, choose the necklace as the reason.

You'll then be asked what Dahlia was doing with the stolen poison. Present Phoenix's profile to the judge as the person she was planning to kill.

You will then be asked what she was going to use to poison Phoenix and you can present Cold Killer X.

The Stolen Turnabout

This case starts with an exhibition that is being held at the Kurain Village for it's treasures. You start off by receiving a Treasure Exhibit Poster. You'll end up at the museum and you'll need to head down to the Basement Warehouse to talk to the curator. Here you'll meet Adrian Andrews who is in charge of the promotion and planning of the exhibit. Here start to examine the room, switch to the second half of the screen and examine Ami Fey's Golden Statue.

The Investigation

The next day you'll find out that the Kurain Sacred Urn was stolen from the exhibit. You'll need to talk to Maya to add the Sacred Urn to the court record. After talking to Maya move on to the Main Exhibition Hall, here you'll meet up with Detective Gumshoe again. Talk to him about the theft and about Mask DeMasque and you'll add DeMasque's Calling Card to the court record.

After talking with Gumshoe move onto the Basement Warehouse. Here you'll meet Luke Atmey, a self proclaimed Ace Detective. Present DeMasque's Calling Card and he'll let you examine the crime scene. Examine the Shichishito, it's the green coat rack looking thing, so that it'll be added to the court record. Then examine the computer to obtain the Camera Data. Move to the other side of the warehouse and examine Ami Fey's Golden Statue to have the court record update the evidence.

Head back up to the main exhibition hall and you'll receive a phone call from Gumshoe telling you to meet Mask DeMasque at the detention center. Here you'll meet Mask DeMasque who's real name is Ron DeLite. When talking to him he'll then tell you he lost the Sacred Urn and asks you to go to his house to talk to his wife. At his house you'll meet his wife Desiree DeLite, present the profile of Mask DeMasque to Desiree and she'll explain that Ron is delusional and thinks he is Mask DeMasque. She'll then ask you to deliver a letter to Ron. Head back to the detention center and hand Ron the letter. He'll then ask you to become his defense attorney.

After this head to the main exhibit hall and talk to Adrian Andrews. After that head to Atmey's Detective agency and talk to Atmey, you'll then find out that he has a psyche lock on him.

Atmey Psyche Lock

To break Atmey's Psyche Lock you'll first have to present the Camera Data to him to prove that someone did enter into the warehouse and then say that he was unconscious at the time, to prove this present the Shichishito.

After breaking Atmey's Psyche Lock you'll be given the Security Camera Photo showing Mask DeMasque at the crime scene. Atmey will then tell you to go to Ron's house and look for a green envelope. The green envelope turns out to be a Blackmail Letter. After that Larry Butz shows up, talking to him you find out he was working as security for the exhibit and hands you Ron's Wallet. Which also has a securty Key Card in it present the Key Card to get a bit more info about it. Present the Blackmail Letter and then talk to Larry about KB Security. You'll then have to go to Atmey's office and after the talk, the court case will begin.

Cross Examination

Before the court proceedings start Maya will hand you a Publicity Photo of Mask DeMasque.

Detective Gumshoe

Mask DeMasque's Crimes

When Gumshoes state that "His pattern is to always go after only the most precious are pieces." present the Sacred Urn to contradict that. After that you'll be asked to prove that the person stealing the urn is a fake, present the Camera Data and then point to the missing yellow mask under his collar from the Publicity Photo. This will then add DeMasque's Broach to the court records.

Luke Atmey

What I Witnessed

When Atmey states that "Darkness swallowed me before I could land a single strike. When I awoke, he was gone." Present Demasque's Broach as evidence that Atmey was able to do something before being knocked out.

Fight with the Thief

Luke Atmey will say that "His first blow struck true! Bam! ...And that's all she wrote." when he says this press him and ask about the Atmey Fighting Stance. He'll state that "I put my back to the wall to fight, but the thief's blow landed upon my third eye." Present the Shichichito and claim that Atmey is really DeMasque afterwards state that there isn't enough evidence to prove this. Dessie then shows up with the urn and you have to present Phoenix's profile as the fingerprints that can be found on the urn.

Ron DeLite

Mask DeMasque's Identity

When Ron states "I don't have an alibi for the night the urn was stolen, after all." Press him on this statement and state that you do have evidence, present Ron's Wallet. The judge will then ask for evidence of why the defendant was at KB security that night, present the Blackmail Letter. After this the judge will ask for someone who had witnessed the defendant using the keycard here you'll need to present Larry Butz's profile to the judge.

Investigation Part 2

After having Ron declared innocent from being Mask DeMasque, you find that the CEO of KB Security has been murdered and now Ron is accused of being that murderer since he was at the crime scene when it happened.

Head to Ron's house and talk with Desiree, she'll tell you where the KB Security office is and then you can head over there. At the office you can examine the binder on the table to obtain Kane's List and then examine the button on the wall to obtain CEO Office Buzzer. After that you can talk to Gumshoe, you'll receive Kane's Autopsy Report and a Newspaper Clipping. Present the profile of Kane Bullard and you learn more about him. Move to the security office to talk to Larry, when you talk to him about the night of the crime a psyche lock will appear.

Larry Psyche Lock

When you're asked to prove that he isn't in his office present the CEO Office Key Card, he'll then state that the criminal could've came in before 10 pm, again present the CEO Office Key Card and you'll break his last lock.

After talking to him about the crime that night you can present the CEO Office Buzzer to him then talk to him about it. He'll hand you the Buzzer Record.

Head to the detention center where you can talk to Ron. Present the Newspaper Clipping to him to have it updated and then he'll talk about the blackmail letters. After talking to him you'll receive Ron's Testimony.

Afterwards head over to the exhibit hall and down into the basement warehouse. Examine the box again and you'll add the Urn Box to the court records then examine the paint spill on the next screen and the Paint Marks will be added to the court records. You can then talk to Adrian Andrews and find that she has a psyche lock.

Adrian Psyche Lock

The first thing you have to prove is that the urn is genuine, present the Sacred Urn to her. Then you'll need to present the Treasure Exhibit Poster to show that the urn was broken again. Next present the Paint Marks to prove that the urn was broken at Lordly Tailor's. Then present the Urn Box to show the connection between the paint on the ground and the paint on the urn.

Cross Examination Part 2

Ron DeLite

My Visit to KB Security

First press Ron when he says "The blackmail letter I got... It ordered me to go there." Keep pressing him when he says "I'd been working for KB Security until a year ago, so I know where his office was." Then ask him why he got fired. Go back and press him when he says "The blackmail thread didn't scare me. It wasn't going to cause me trouble or anything." Then say that if the information did get out it would cause him trouble, present Desiree DeLite as evidence.

At the CEO's Office

Press him when he says "If I hadn't been wearing that, I would have been killed!" After that press him when he says "I'd have been killed if I hadn't been wearing my Mask DeMasque costume!" Press him harder after he answers, then he'll say "I panicked and hid the body in the sage. It took about 10 minutes." Present the CEO Office Buzzer. Then choose that you do have evidence that Bullard did not hit the buzzer by presenting the CEO Office Buzzer. Then choose that the buzzer was sounded to call the security guard. Then present Luke Atmey as the person who tried to frame Ron DeLite.

Luke Atmey

The Alibi

Press Atmey on his first statement made "I was stealing the urn as Mask DeMasque, just as I announced I would..." When asked if he had an accomplice select give it up. Then press him on all his other statements till Phoenix thinks something is strange with the picture, select you bet there is and select the paint spill then present Ami's Golden Statue. When asked who moved the statue, present Luke Atmey's profile. When asked where the lie is point to the timestamp up in the left corner.

The Sacred Urn Heist

When Atmey states that "Hence, I was actually unable to see the urn for myself until the day of the crime..." Present DeMasque's Calling Card.

Motive for Murder

When Atmey says that "It was Mr. Bullard who wrote the blackmail after and sent it to Ron DeLite." Present the Blackmail Letter, then when asked to provide the contradicting evidence show them the Newspaper Clipping. Next present Luke Atmey as the person that Bullard was actually intending on blackmailing. When asked about the identity that Luke Atmey was trying to protect, choose that he was a blackmailer. Then present the Newspaper Clipping to show that Atmey knew after the first case that Ron DeLite was really Mask DeMasque. When asked if you have evidence to prove that Atmey was at the crime scene say that you don't.

The Last Testimony

Here you have to press the correct statement but you only get one chance to get it right so choosing the wrong one will end the case with you losing. Press him when he says "Mr. DeLite was wearing his Mask DeMasque outfit, which is why he left no prints."

Recipe for Turnabout

This case starts with a court room battle showing that the defendant has been declared guilty and Phoenix was his attorney. It turns out that Phoenix was never at the court house that month so now you need to investigate and find out who was impersonating as you. You'll receive a Magazine Clipping from Gumshoe showing that you were beaten at a case.

Investigation

Start off by heading to the detention center and you'll find out that your next client is Maggey Byrde, she was in the second game of this series, talk to her about what has happened. After the talk, present the Magazine Clipping to Maggey and she'll give you directions to her restaurant.

When at the restaurant, examine behind the magazine rack and you'll find a Sports Paper. Show this to Maggey and then head back to the restaurant. Now you'll meet Jean Armstrong talk to him and then present Maggey's profile to him to find out about Maggey's motive. You'll find that Armstrong has a psyche lock on him but you'll discover that you don't have the megatama so you won't be able to remove his locks. Armstrong will tell you that the other witness can be found at Vitamin Square.

Head over to Vitamin Square, here you'll meet an old man. After talking to him, examine the magazine lying on top of the orange to obtain a Job Listing. Head back to the restaurant and present the Job Listing to Armstrong, he'll then take Maya away to train her for a waitress job. Head over to the criminal affairs department and talk to Gumshoe, after talking to him present the Sports Paper and the profile of chef Armstrong. He'll end up taking the paper and talking more about the chef.

Go back to the restaurant and there you'll meet a girl dressed in black with bandages on her head, she won't say a thing to you and will disappear. Next Maya will appear as a waitress, you can talk to her and she'll order a Lunch Special for you. Finish talking to her and you'll be able to go to the kitchen. Examine the main counter to find the magatama. Examine the bottles on the ground to obtain a Small Bottle.

Head over to Vitamin Square again and examine the scooter, here you'll meet someone with Phoenix's hair style and claiming to be him. The Scooter will be added to the court records. After the fake Phoenix leaves the Old Man will reappear and talking to him about being a regular at Tres Bien will reveal he has a psyche lock. You won't be able to unlock this psyche lock yet, so instead head on over to the criminal affairs department. Gumshoe will tell you what he found out and return the Sports Paper to you. Show him the Small Bottle and he'll take that in for examining. Then talk to him about Armstrong's Secret and he also give you Jean's Loan Contract.

Old Man Psyche Lock

First present the Lunch Special to prove that people don't go there for the food. Next present the Job Listings to show that he's not as rich as he says he is. Then he states that he's there to read the free papers, present the Sports Paper to prove him wrong. Then to provide evidence for the reason he's at the restaurant so much, present Maggey's profile to him.

After this you can talk to him about being a regular at the restaurant. You'll also find out that his name is Victor Kudo. Head back to the restaurant and present Kudo's profile to Maya, she'll then come back to talk to him with you. After talking to him you'll receive Victor's Note.

Jean Armstrong Psyche Lock

Jean will tell you that the victim had a lottery ticket for half a million dollars and that Maggey's motive was to take half of that lottery ticket. Present Armstrong's profile as the person you really think may have stolen the ticket. Then when he says that you have no proof present Victor's Note to him. When he asks for proof that he's stolen from customers before present your magatama. Then he'll explain he only steals small stuff and nothing as big as half a million dollars, present Jean's Loan Contract to him. After unlocking the psyche lock you can then talk to him about Maggey's motive, after discovering that Armstrong had stolen the wrong ticket Victor's Note is removed for the court records.

Cross Examination

Gumshoe is the first witness and he presents the victim and Glen's Autopsy Report, he'll show you the Tres Bien Floor Plans and where the victim was sitting when he was poisoned. As well as who was there at the time.

Detective Gumshoe

The Incident

When Gumshoe says that "When the incident took place, the victim was alone at his table, sir.", press him on this comment and then press harder when asked to. This will give you a Crime Photo showing the view from the kitchen entrance. Press him when he says "Traces of poison were found in his coffee cup." Press him harder after that to receive the victim's Coffee Cup as evidence. Then press him when he states "And, um... it looks like Ms. Byrde might've had, well... some kind of a motive." Press harder when the choice comes up and you'll receive the Victim's Lottery Ticket added to the court records. After this an Apron and Potassium Cyanide will also be added as evidence.

The Investigation

Gumshoe will state that "But we figured out who he was pretty quick, and then the investigation went smoothly." Press him on this statement and then ask about the prescription bag to obtain the Victim's Prescription Bag as evidence. Gumshoe will state "And that was it. There was nothing else missing from the crime scene." Present the Prescription Bag as proof that the medicine was missing and no one had found it.

Victor Kudo

What I Witnessed

When Kudo says that "The serving girl brought him a javaccino... But she put something in it!" Press him on this point and keep pressing so that he'll state "There's no question about it! She very conspicuously put some white powder in there!" He'll then state "That's the serving girl, right there in the defendant's chair. I remember her well!" Press him on this and press harder to make him state that "There was a ribbon in her hair, and her apron's straps were loose." Press him on this and then ask him about the back of the waitress after this he says "There wasn't anything that caught my interest about her when I saw her from the front." Present the apron when he says this.

About the Victim

When Kudo says that "The little fidget picked up the cup with his free hand and took a sip." Present the Coffee Cup to show that the sip was taken with the right hand and not the left.

Left Hand or Right Hand

When he says "The boy was wearing the earpiece on the same side as the green lens of his specs." Present Glen Elg's profile.

The Final Showdown

Here when Kudo state that "Well the clumsy idiot upset the vase! He knocked it right over." Present the Crime Photo showing that the vase is still standing. You'll receive Victor's Testimony as evidence.

First you can head over to the detention center, you'll find that Maggey isn't there. From there you can head over to Tres Bien, you'll see Detective Gumshoe here. You can talk to him and present the Victim's Lottery Ticket when his psyche lock appears. When you finish talking to him you'll receive a Millionaire Radio Flyer from him. Present Glen Elg's profile and he'll tell you about the place where he works. Head into the kitchen and you'll see Armstrong talking to the girl with bandages on her head, after talking to him you can present Jean's Loan Contract and then talk to him about that girl again. He'll tell you about the place he took a loan out from and about the man named Tiger who is in charge of the place. Heading back to Tres Bien you'll see Gumshoe and he'll say he has another case meeting to attend and he'll give you Gumshoe's Lunchbox to give to Maggey.

Head on over to Blue Screens Inc, Glen Elg's workplace, here you'll meet Lisa Basil the Director of the company. After talking to her, present Glen's profile to her and she'll talk about Glen's troubles. You can then examine Glen's desk and you'll receive Glen's Calendar. Then examine the papers underneath his drawer to find some Losing Horse Racing Tickets. Head over to Vitamin Square and then to Tender Lender, start by examining the ashtray on the ground, here you'll find some Tres Bien Matches. Next examine the suit in the back and you find out it looks like Phoenix's suit and also has a Paper Badge, also examine the large round doll on the shelf in the back and you'll find a Repair Bill. Next looking on the desk you'll find a CD labeled MC Bomber. After you'll meet the Tiger and be able to talk to Violetta, the girl with bandages. After talking to her present the Tiger's profile to her to learn more about him.

Move back to Vitamin Square and you'll see Victor Kudo again talk to him and when asked whether to listen to him or cut in, decide to listen to him and you'll be able to talk to him about an errand he did for Tres Bien. After this head over to the detention center to talk to Maggey. Present Victor Kudo's profile to her and she'll talk about his testimony, next present to her Gumshoe's Lunch Box which she won't accept and will then be eaten by Maya and Phoenix. Next head over to the criminal affairs department, you'll see Gumshoe there and he'll tell you a virus has infected the departments computers. After talking to him present MC Bomber to him and he'll tell you about it. Next present Violetta's profile to him and he'll tell you about the Cadaverinis, Gumshoe will give you another lunchbox to give to Maggey. Now you can head over to Blue Screens Inc. and remove Lisa's psyche lock.

Lisa Basil Psyche Lock

When asked what Glen's problems involved present the Losing Horse Racing Tickets, then present the Victim's Lottery Ticket as proof that horse racing wasn't his only gambling problem. Next present Furio Tigre as the person who was also a part of Glen's problems and show Glen's Calendar to her to prove that there is a connection between the two of them. Next present MC Bomber as the program that was being used to pay off his debt. You can then talk to Lisa about Glen's troubles.

Now move to the Tender Lender and remove the psyche locks on Viola Cadaverini.

Viola Cadaverini Psyche Lock

First present the Repair Bill to show her what accident caused her injury, next present her own profile to her to show that she is a member of the Cadaverini family. Next present Furio Tigre's profile to show that he was the one that was involved in the hit and run. Then present the Scooter to show Viola what she ran into and that it was owned by Furio Tigre. Then present Bruto Cadaverini's profile to show who Furio Tigre was really paying off the surgery for. After this you can talk to her about the incident. You'll then receive Viola's Medical Papers. Head over to Tres Bien, there you'll see Armstrong and Tigre, they'll try to take the medical papers from you until Gumshoe shows up to help out.

Cross Examination Part 2

Before the court case begins, Gumshoe will show up and hand you back the Small Bottle you had previously given him.

Then they'll ask what in the photo should not exist, point to the vase on the empty table.

In the Restaurant

When Armstrong states "I remember la old man arrived not long after 'im." Press this statement and then ask him what time exactly did Kudo enter the restaurant. He'll then add to his statement saying "I remember la old man arrived not long after 'im, just after 2 PM". After this he'll state that "When 'e got word 'e won la lottery, Mon. Elg became very excited." Here present the Millionaire Radio Flyer showing that the time the show starts is at 1:30 PM. Next say that the dead body was stashed in the kitchen and present the Small Bottle as proof.

The Confession

When Armstrong says "I 'ad to go along w'iz 'im because... Z'ere was a reason why I could not refuse." Here present Jean's Loan Contract to show what that reason was. Next present Furio Tigre as the person who loaned him the money.

The Tiger's Alibi

When Tigre says "I was tied up with business in December last year. Spent all'a my time in my office." Press him on this statement and continue pressing when asked. When Tigre says "The day youse talkin' about, I was in de office, too. I never saw that kid before." Here present Glen's Calendar as proof that he met up with Glen.

When Tigre says "I ain't never even been to that Tres Bien joint, youse hear?" Present the Tres Bien Matches to prove him wrong.

At Tres Bien

When Tigre states "The guy was laid out over the table, stiff as concrete." Present the Tres Bien Floor Plans to him and accuse Furio Tigre of being the killer. Then accuse Viola Cadaverini as posing as the waitress.

Ties to the Victim

Press Furio when he says "If that waitress hadn't done what she done, everythin woulda been over." Then ask about how things would've been and he'll add that "I was after the $100,000. I didn't have no other reason to kill the guy!" When he says this present MC Bomber to him. When asked why Furio Tigre would need a million dollars present Viola's Medical Papers. When asked to present something to prove that Tigre tried to frame Maggey present the Paper Badge. Present the Small Bottle as your final evidence and say that there is potassium cyanide in the bottle.

Turnabout Beginnings

This case starts with Phoenix going over Mia's first case. In this case she is defending a convict, Terry Fawles, who is being charged with murder. You'll also be facing off against Edgeworth in his first case as well.

Detective Gumshoe starts the court proceedings by describing the cause of death and how the incident happened. From this you'll receive the Dusky Bridge Map.

Cross Examination

Detective Gumshoe

Summary of the Incident

Gumshoe will say that "On the day of the incident an unknown person phoned the sergeant and asked to meet." Press him on this statement and you'll add the Victim's Note to the court records. Also press him when he says "The criminal stuffed her body into his car trunk and tried to make a getaway." From this you'll add the Crime Photo to the court records. When Gumshoe shows you the Crime Photo and says he doesn't see anything strange about it, present the Victim's Note. This will show that the victim is not wearing the scarf that was mentioned in the note. Edgeworth will then produce the Scarf and it will be added to the evidence list.

Events on Dusky Bridge

Here Gumshoe will say that an eyewitness was there to take a photo of the meeting and will present the Witness's Photo. When Gumshoe says "Anyway, the criminal shobed the victim down from behind and stabbed her in the back!" Here present the Crime Photo and show that there is no dirt on the jacket. Then present the Scarf as evidence that the bridge was muddy that day. The say that the witness's testimony is what is fake.

Melissa Foster

The Witness's Photograph

Melissa will testify what she saw and took a photo of, she'll also bring her Camera to the court. When she says "That's when I hurried and took the photo that shows the crucial moment." Present the Witness's Photo to show that the people in the photo are just standing there and not fighting. Next she'll say "She only got about 10 yards away before she was stabbed in the back." Present to the court the Dusky Bridge Map, to show that the end of the bridge has collapsed and there is no way for her to run that far without falling off.

Running from the Crime

When she says "I suppose that was the only way he could make sure the body stayed hidden." Present the Dusky Bridge Map to show that he could've easily thrown the body in the river. This will have her revise her statement to say "The killer broke into the trunk of the stolen car and hid the body in there." Here present the Crime Photo to show that she couldn't have seen the car because she was behind a hill. Then say that her testimony doesn't work out because she wouldn't have had any time to look at the car. Then say that the only way she would've seen the scratches is if she had put the body in the trunk herself. Then present the Camera to show that it has a timer that could take the photo without her being there. When asked where the witness could've been standing select the position of the victim. Next present the Victim's Note to show that Fawles had forgotten the face of the victim since he needed some sort of item to identify her by.

You'll then talk to Fawles in the lobby about what happened 5 years ago. He'll explain that the whole kidnapping was a scam set up by him, Valerie and Dahlia Hawthorne to steal a diamond from the Hawthorne family and ransom it for 2 million dollars. After this you'll add the Diamond to the court records.

Melissa Foster's History

When she says "I... I was out of the country until the year before last." Press her on this and she'll add to her testimony that "Naturally, I didn't know wither the victim or the defendant." After this press her when she says "Holding a grudge and killing the officer who testified against you 5 years ago..." After that she'll add "I guess I'm lucky I wasn't wearing a white scarf." Here present the Scarf to show that it isn't white as Melissa has stated. Then present the Victim's Note to show how Melissa would know that the scarf is suppose to be white. Then present the profile of Dahlia Hawthorne as the other person that would know about the note. After revealing that Melissa Foster is really Dahlia Hawthorne, you will need to provide a motive to show why she would commit the crime, here present the Victim's Note.

5 Years Ago

When she says "That's when Mr. Fawles tried to kill me by shoving me off the bridge from behind!" Present the Dusky Bridge Map to show that if he had pushed her she would've fallen onto the bedrock and not into the river. When asked to present evidence to prove Edgeworth's logic to be wrong, present the Witness's Photo. Then present the Diamond to show why she would jump into the river. Then present Terry Fawles as the only person to be able to testify against Dahlia.

When Terry says "I watched my car from bridge. I never put no body in that car!" Present the Witness's Photo.

Bridge to the Turnabout

This chapter starts with Maya and Pearl trying to convince Phoenix to go on a retreat with them to a Spirit Resort. Phoenix doesn't really want to until he sees a photo of Dahlia at the resort as well, you'll receive the "Oh! Cult!" New Year's Issue.

Upon arriving at the temple you'll meet Bikini, a nun working at the temple. You can talk to her about the temple and about Dahlia(Iris), she'll tell you that she is in the Inner Temple. Head over to the main hall and here you'll meet Elise Deauxnim who is an author of children's books. After talking with her she'll give you the Hazakura Temple Map. Next head over to the suspension bridge, you'll discover that this bridge is called Dusky Bridge. Next head over to the inner temple gate and to the training hall, here you'll meet Iris before she leaves, examine the scroll hanging on the right side and you'll add the Hanging Scroll to the court records. Head back to the suspension bridge and then you'll meet Larry Butz again, you'll find out he's following Elise around and going by the name Laurice Deauxnim. After talking to him about Elise he'll give you a Photo of Elise that he has. He'll also tell you he's fallen for another girl this time, present to him the profile of Iris and after talking about her, Pearl will appear and tell you dinner is ready.

After dinner Maya will go to do her training while you head to your room. You then wake up to head to the bathroom and meet Elise, who is searching for Pearl. You'll then meet Iris and get to talk to her about her time at the temple, after the talk you'll receive Iris' Hood to protect you. Later on Phoenix wakes up to a scream and find Elise impaled on the Shichishito and he rushes to Dusky bridge to call the police only to find out the bridge is in flames, Phoenix ends up trying to get to Maya only to fall into the river below.

Investigation

After this Larry calls up Edgeworth to come and help defend Iris, who is being accused of the murder of Elise. Since Phoenix is in the hospital after the fall, Edgeworth is now in charge of defending Iris. You'll start off in the detention center and talk to Iris. After talking to Iris you can move to the suspension bridge, here you'll meet Detective Gumshoe. After talking to him about the lightning that hit the bridge, you'll receive the Weather Data to confirm it.

You can then head over to the main gate and talk to Larry about Iris and the night of the crime. You'll find that Larry has a psyche lock on him. Move to the main hall, you'll meet Bikini here and can talk to her about what happened. Afterwards examine the piece of paper lying in the far left corner of the room, you'll discover that it is a Note to Iris. You can then move on to the courtyard and talk to Detective Gumshoe about the incident and what he's found out. Gumshoe will give you Elise's Autopsy Report after talking to him. Examine the crime scene and add the Shichishito to the court records, also examining the staff to the left of the statue will give you the Victim's Staff.

Head back to the detention center and talk to Iris about the Inner Temple.

Iris Psyche Lock

When you talk to her about what she was frightened of you'll have to first present her with the Note to Iris. Next present Phoenix's profile to her as the person she didn't want to know of her secret. After talking to her about what she was frightened of she'll show you where the Heavenly Hall is and you also receive Iris' Testimony.

After breaking Iris' psyche lock head on over to Heavenly Hall. Here you'll see Larry again and he'll start talking to himself about what he did but not before Gumshoe jumps out and surprises him. He'll talk to you about Heavenly Hall and he'll still have the psyche lock from earlier on him.

Larry Psyche Lock

When needing to prove that Larry was not in his room to see the lightning hit the bridge present the Hazakura Temple Map to show that the main temple is surrounded by cliffs and trees. Then present Heavenly Hall as the place where Larry was to be able to see the lightning hit the bridge. Then present Iris' profile as the person Larry was waiting to meet there last night and present the Note to Iris to prove that. After talking to him about what happened that night and then asking him about the incredible thing he saw you'll find out he has even more psyche locks on him to unlock now and the only way to find the truth is to make him a witness now.

Cross Examination

In this courtroom battle, Godot was missing during the investigation and instead Edgeworth ended up calling on Franziska Von Karma to fill in as prosecutor. Franziska will then outline the case at hand and you'll add the Crime Photo to the court records.

Bikini will say that "So, I left Iris to help the acolyte, and returned to Hazakura Temple." Present Iris' Testimony to show that Iris said she never went to the Inner Temple. From this she'll add "Iris came to the Inner Temple. She was dressed exactly as she had been at dinner." Here present Iris' Hood to show that she did not have her hood on after dinner.

After My Bath

When Bikini says that "The stabbing I saw must have occurred after she was pushed out of her window." Present Elise's Autopsy to show that she had died and then was pushed out the window.

Further Details

When Bikini states that "I've never seen so much blood before..." Press this statement and then press further for her to add "I saw the instant in which the blade, plunged in to the hilt, was smoothly drawn out." Here present the Shichishito to show that the blood on the blade isn't all the way to the hilt.

Location of the Weapon

Bikini will state that the snow mobile could've been used to dispose of the murder weapon, Franziska will then add Tracks Photo to the court records to show that the snow mobile was used. When she states that "...Iris could have done that. She can drive a snowmobile after all..." Present the Tracks Photo to show that there were only one set of tracks and not two that shows the murderer coming back. After being told that it was snowing and the snow covered the second track, present the Weather Data to show when the snowed stopped. Then present the Crime Photo to show that she is not covered with snow. After this present Larry as the person who would know about the snowmobile being used on that night.

Larry Butz

What I Saw

When Larry says "I didn't meet anyone at that bridge that night!" Present Phoenix's profile to show the contradiction to this statement.

What I Saw, Pt. 2

When Larry says "There was still some thunder, but I went right away to check it out." Press him on this and then ask him why he didn't call anybody. He'll then say "I arrived at the bridge, and Nick showed up less than a minute later." Here present the Weather Data.

The Missing 15 Minutes

When Larry says "Sketching! In front of the bridge! I was whipped up into a frenzy of art!" Press him on this and then ask him to show his sketch, Larry's Sketch is then added to the court records. Larry will then add "I saw Iris flying! Her white hood fluttering!" Here present Iris' Hood to show that she did not have her hood with her.

Proof that Iris Flew!

After stating his testimony Larry will show you the Crystal Sphere that he found near the bridge. When Larry states "After all, no one else could have lost a crystal sphere that night." Here present the Victim's Staff to show the missing crystal in it. Then you'll have to try to prove that the crystal was dropped before the murder. To do this present the Crime Photo to show that the snow had fallen and covered part of the crystal. Then present the Tracks Photo to show how the body was carried back to the temple.

Investigation Part 2

Here Phoenix will take over the rest of the case again, head over to the main gate and you'll see Larry and Franziska talking. After talking with Franziska, head to the main hall. Here you'll see Bikini and you'll be able to talk to her about that night and Pearl, after this move to the courtyard and then back to the main hall. Gumshoe will show up and tell you that the bridge has been rebuilt.

Heading over to the Inner Temple, you'll be reunited with Pearl before she runs away. Examine the incinerator to find that the snow that was originally on it has melted. Head into the training hall and examine the Hanging Scroll to see that it has been covered with gravy. After examining the lock on the door, Godot will appear and you'll be able to talk to him about not being at the trial. Next head out to the inner temple and you'll be told by Gumshoe about the garden behind the gate, head back there. Examine the red charm lying in the snow to receive the Kurain Master's Talisman. Then talk to Gumshoe about the blood on the stone lantern. Head back to the main gate and you'll see Iris, she and Edgeworth will then go and unlock the gate while you continue to investigate.

Head over to the main hall to attempt to remove the psyche locks on Sister Bikini.

Sister Bikini Psyche Lock

First present the Kurain Master's Talisman to her and then present the Hanging Scroll to show her the emblem of the Master of the Kurain Channeling Technique. An earthquake will then occur after talking to her and you'll have to go to the inner temple to check on Maya.

You'll then be in the training hall where you'll find there are more locks on the gate then before but Iris is unable to open these ones. Now you can talk to Iris about her escape and the locks. When you ask her about the night of the crime you'll find that she also has psyche locks. You won't be able to unlock these now so head to the garden to talk to Edgeworth. He won't give you information on his first case where he met Dahlia so you'll have to go find something to prove to him that they are connected. Head over to Heavenly Hall and talk with Pearl about the crime. It'll turn out that she has lost her spirit powers and also has psyche locks on her.

You can then head over to the main hall and talk to Sister Bikini about Misty Fey. She'll tell you about the incident in the first game as well as revealing that Iris had a twin sister. Move to the courtyard to find Gumshoe and talk to him, he'll give you a Burnt Letter. If you keep talking to him he'll hand you the metal detector to search for the murder weapon, put the detector over the staff and check it. You'll find that the staff is really a sword as well and the Victim's Staff will be updated with the info.

Next head back to the garden and present the profile of Iris' twin to Edgeworth, now you can talk to Edgeworth about Dahlia. You can then go and unlock Iris' psyche locks.

Iris Psyche Lock

First present Sister Bikini to state that she had seen Iris at the Inner Temple that night. Then present Iris' Testimony, in which she states herself that after ringing the bell at 10 she did not leave her room. Next state that there are two of her and present Dahlia's profile to prove this. Iris will then talk about the crime that night as well as the kidnapping that was committed 6 years ago.

You'll now have to go to Heavenly Hall to unlock Pearl's psyche lock.

Pearl Psyche Lock

When asked where Pearl went that night, point to the Inner Temple and then present Maya's profile to show who Pearl was worried about. When asked why she was listening for the bell, present the Burnt Letter. Next you'll see that Pearl was trying to channel someone at 10, when asked who present Dahlia's profile. When asked who wrote the instructions for Pearl, present Morgan Fey's profile. After this she will ask you to present proof that she was the one who did it, present the Hanging Scroll to show that she had read the instructions incorrectly.

Cross Examination Part 2

The court session starts with Iris going up to the stand and confessing that she helped in the covering up of the murder and that the murderer is Maya Fey, because of this confession Iris' Testimony is removed from the court records.

Iris

The Real Murderer

When Iris says that "While Mystic Maya was still stumbling, Mystic Elise moved in to deliver a fatal strike!" Press her on this comment and then say you do have a problem with what was just stated. She'll then add that "She threw her staff away and pulled a dagger from inside her robe!" Here present the Victim's Staff to show what the real murder weapon was. Then to show that Elise Deauxnim would never try to take the life of Maya, present Elise's profile to show that she is really Misty Fey. Godot then reveals that he sent Gumshoe back to the crime seen and found a Dagger there.

The Battle

When Iris states "That's when Mystic Maya stabbed Mystic Elise!" Present Elise's Autopsy Report to show that Elise was stabbed in the back and not in the stomach. After this the Stone Lantern is added to the court records.

Sister Iris' Cover-Up

Iris will say that "Then I used the snowmobile to carry it back to Hazakura Temple and..." Here press her on what she says and then ask about the snow tracks. This will then have her add "By the time the murder took place, the snow had already stopped." After having her say this, when she states "I dragged it behind me all the way across Dusky Bridge." Present the Weather Data to show that the bridge was on fire when she was doing this.

Moving the Body

Since the bridge was completely engulfed in flames, Godot will present the Dusky Bridge Photo to show the aftermath of the fire. When Iris asks "Or are you saying that there is a way to cross a burning bridge?" Present Larry's Sketch of the body flying over the bridge. When asked what to make of the sketch, state that it is a complete contradiction. Then point to one of the wires in the sketch and present the Dusky Bridge Photo as proof. You'll find that the sketch should be viewed upside down and that the body was swinging underneath the bridge, for this to happen you can present the Dusky Bridge Photo again to show the cable wire. Then to prove that this did happen, present Elise's Autopsy Report to show that she fell 10 ft after death.

After this you need to provide an accomplice, here present Iris' profile. You then have to accuse Iris of actually being Dahlia. Then after a lengthy explanation of events, you are then asked if there was a chance for Iris and Dahlia to switch places, answer yes. You'll then have to present Edgeworth's profile as the one that lost sight of Iris for a few moments during the earthquake.

Dahlia Hawthorne

The Plan

Dahlia will now explain her plan of trying to kill Maya, press her on each of her statements. After that she'll add "Do you understand why I would kill Maya Fey now? What my goal was?" Here present Mia's profile to her. After explaining her goal and finding out Maya isn't in the cave, you need to present evidence to show that Maya did not commit suicide, present the Hazakura Temple Map. Then state that Maya is in the court room right now and that since Pearl could not channel Dahlia, then Maya must be the one doing it.

Maya Fey

At the Inner Temple

When Maya says "I think I screamed, "Help me!"" Press her on this statement and then ask her about when she says "My last hope". She will then add "I could see a man behind my attacker by the light of the stone lantern." When she states this present the Stone Lantern to show that it was not lit that night. When asked who was the person who killed Misty Fey, present Godot's profile.

The Killer

First press each statement and then go back and press her when she says "By the time I got back to the garden, the place had totally changed..." She will then add "I think it was for my sake that the killer cleaned up the evidence of what had happened." Here present the Stone Lantern. Then state that the killer did not notice Maya's name on the stone lantern and the person that wouldn't have noticed it would be Godot.

After the Incident

When Maya says "He found Pearly first, and cheered her right up!" Press her on this and then ask Godot about his investigation. Then go and press Maya when she says "That's when Mr. Godot arrived at the Inner Temple for the first time!" Here present the Hanging Scroll to prove that he had been there before the bridge was rebuilt. Next Godot will ask for proof to show that someone else would've known about the plan, here present the Burnt Letter. Then when asked to present proof as the connection between Godot and Maya, present Mia's profile.

The Time of the Murder

When Maya states that "...Just at that moment, there was a horrible scream!" Press her on this statement and then say that there is a contradiction to the statement. Present the Dagger as the weapon that was used. Then when asked where the wound could be concealed present Godot's profile again to point out that it's underneath his mask.
