Chapter 1

Village

You will begin on the eastern side of the village. The door you need to access is the one just to the left of your starting position, the one with the large insignia on it. You can't access it right away however. You'll need to obtain the key, which will reveal itself to you in time. So to start, simply run around the village and collect everything you can find. Note that you will not be able to grab the shotgun on the second floor of the house, as you need to leave it for Leon.

The Insignia Key will eventually appear here after a cutscene.
The Insignia Key will eventually appear here after a cutscene.

Begin by running out to the right and up the narrow path. Bust open the boxes in both small shacks to collect the items they hold. Run back down the path and into the two-story house. On the first floor there is some ammo near the kitchen in the back. Break open the two barrels there as well for more goodies. Head up stairs to the second floor and grab the handgun ammo on the cabinet and then the shotgun ammo on the bed. Jump out the side window so you land on the roof. Run along the backside of the roof to find the shiny Spinel on the other side.

Jump off the roof here and run across the main village path and into the house on the other side. Grab the grenade off the floor and the egg off the plate to the right. Shoot the lock of the door and enter the small back room. Pick up the Elegant Mask from the bed and the items inside the wooden boxes here. As you try to leave this house you may very well be ambushed by a horde of the crazy locals. Use your shotgun to clear a path and hopefully a cutscene will ensue which reveals a chicken flying away and a shiny object on the roof of the house you are inside of.

Blast your way outside. Stand in between the house the chicken just left and the fire to find an Action Spot where you can Hook Shot to the roof. Pick up the Insignia Key. If you want to run around and find all the items and ammo you may do so. Search the buildings, the town parameter and everywhere. You may even catch a glimpse a Leon in the background. You can never catch up to him so don't waste your time. When you feel like moving on, head to the door with the large insignia on it and use the key to get inside.

Insignia House

Once through the door with the large Insignia on it, you'll find a Merchant and a typewriter to use. Beware of the wooden box on the wood stove, it only contains a snake! You can't do too much with the Merchant just yet, your' funds are probably still a bit on the low side. Sell any chicken eggs you might have found and any Spinels. Keep the Elegant Mask for now. You can find the three jewels to combine with it to get some real money down the road. When you are ready, head through the opposite door. Break open the wooden barrel here and then proceed down the hatch at the other end.

Tunnel

Run down the tunnel. Grab the Handgun Ammo on the right and the Shotgun Ammo on the left, both near small candles. You should hear the sounds of a couple locals. Quickly turn around as they actually flanking you. Take them out and continue deeper into the tunnel. You'll come to a small area where the corridor opens up a bit. To the far left you will find some TMP Ammo and PTAS on the ground. Break open the nearby box to pick up a Green Gem. In your inventory, go to the Key Treasures screen and combine the Green Gem with the Elegant Mask.

Proceed further down the tunnel. As you near the door at the end you will be ambushed from the front and behind. Try to bring both groups together so a single shotgun blast will hit more than one of them or a grenade can hit the group. Take the small horde out with either method and go through the metal door. Continue to the ladder at the end and climb up.

Keep an eye on the thick fog as it can make spotting Ganados more difficult.
Keep an eye on the thick fog as it can make spotting Ganados more difficult.

Outside the Church

You'll find yourself on a small path. Kill the first local and run up the path to see the graveyard before you and the church on top of the hill. Run out to the right a bit to get the attention of some more locals on the path and a couple in a shack hidden to the right. Once they see you, run back to the path you started on. Lure them into this narrow passage and take them out. Now you can check out the shack to the right and grab the items from it. As you exit the shack, you should see a couple more crazy locals up the path to the right of the cemetery. Again, lure them to the path or this time to the shack for execution.

The graveyard should be relatively empty by this point. In the middle you should see a shinny object on top of a tombstone. Go grab it to learn it is a Red Gem. Combine this to your Elegant Mask. Make your way up to the gates of the church. You may have a local or two to still deal with here. Take them out and then look up at the tree to the right of the church's front door. In the branches you will see a bird's nest. Shoot this nest down and collect the PTAS.

Shoot the bird's nest!
Shoot the bird's nest!

You'll need an insignia to get into the church and there are a few steps more you'll need to do to get it. To the far right side of the church you will find a path that lead down to a ledge and a narrow bridge that follows the side of a cliff. Make your way along this bridge, kill the two Ganados and enter the small shack on the left. The wooden box on the table contains a snake and the one of the shelf will award you with PTAS. Proceed further down the bridge to find one of the crazy chainsaw wielding female locals with a couple "normal" ones. If you can, quickly equip a Hand Grenade and toss it onto the bridge in front of you. If you time it right you can blow the chainsaw chick completely off the bridge and not have to deal with her. If not, simply shotgun her and her friends to death and collect the Green Catseye that is shinning on the ground.

Run back up the bridge and find your way around to the back of the church. There you'll see a small contraption that you can operate. Do so now. You can only turn the dial clockwise in either 3 or 4 increments. Your goal is to light up the three insignias found in the graveyard. From the starting position turn the dial 3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4, and then 3. The small gate on the machine will open and you will collect the Round Insignia. Immediately after grabbing the insignia, you will be attacked by two crazy locals. The gate you came through will be closed and you'll be locked in. Quickly take the two attackers out and then place the Green Catseye in the contraption to reopen the gate that locked you in. Make your way around to the front of the church and enter the church using the Round Insignia.

Church

This is what the end result of turning each dial should look like.
This is what the end result of turning each dial should look like.

Once inside, turn and run to the right. Here in the front right corner of the church you will find the Purple Gem, which can be combined with the Elegant Mask. After collecting the gem, run down this far right side of the church to find a dead end corridor, which ends with a wooden barrel. Break the barrel, collect the item and turn around so your back is to this dead end. Make your stand here. Simply let the crazy locals funnel themselves into the narrow passage while you just pick them off with shotgun blasts. There will be around 4 or 5 of them.

Make your way to the alter in the middle to grab the Handgun Ammo. You'll find a ladder to the far left. Climb up to the balcony above. Follow the balcony around and take out the three Ganados up here. With them taken care of, operate the small control panel. Turn the Red dial three times. Turn the Green dial once. Then turn the Blue dial twice. Now combine the three lights to create the insignia and end the chapter.

Chapter 2

Check the house for items.
Check the house for items.

House

You will begin in a bedroom with the Merchant standing in the corner. Weird, huh? Grab Chicken Egg from the small chest, the Handgun Ammo from the desk near the window and the PTAS from the tall wardrobe behind the Merchant. For some extra goodies, run down the stairs to the right of the Merchant to the backyard of the house. Head down the path to find a small shack on the right with another Spinel inside a wooden box. Outside the shack on the other side you'll find a well with a cover that is being propped up. Above it is a shinny objects. Shoot the piece of wood holding the cover up to release it then shoot the shinny item so is drops on top of the cover. Now pick this item, which is a Brass Pocket Watch.

Head back up the path and back into the house. Do some dealing with the Merchant. It would be a good idea to pick up the Medium Attaché Case. The TMP would be a good purchase as well because you will begin to find more and more ammo for it. When you are done with the Merchant head through the closed door in the bedroom. To the left of the door you can find some more PTAS in a small cabinet.

Make your way downstairs. Around to the right of the nice table you will find a crazy local by a bookshelf. Kill him and take the Hand Grenade from the glass cabinet. To the front of this floor you will discover a small kitchen. Open the stove to find a Golden Chicken Egg. Step outside through the door on the first floor when you are ready to move on.

Path to the Village

As you step out of the house you will be able to see a chainsaw wielding local down the path waiting for you. Before engaging him though, grab the Handgun Ammo to the very right of the door you just came out of on top of some lumber. You should be able to see that chainsaw man has a couple of friends with him. If you have a Hand Grenade it's worth while to run ahead to get their attention then toss a grenade while chainsaw man starts his weapon. This should take out his friends and leave you to simply shotgun him to death. Collect the Ruby from his body and move down the path.

Keep an eye on tree branches for bird nests.
Keep an eye on tree branches for bird nests.

About halfway down before you reach the shack on the left, you can find some Handgun Ammo in a bird's nest. It sits in some branches hanging directly over the path. Shoot the nest and collect the ammo. Down by the shack you will encounter three more crazy locals. Take them out and proceed just past the shack to find another nest in the tree to the left. Shoot this nest to pick up some TMP Ammo. Make your way to the end of the path to battle three more locals. Kill them and then proceed through the village gates.

Village

You'll now find yourself back in the village. You can simply make a run for the gate to the far northeast of the village but you will be missing out on a lot of items. You can defeat all the enemies here now. If you run them around enough an bunch them together you will save bullets by using the shotgun to the entire horde is each round you fire or a grenade will help thin their numbers fast. There's not that many Ganados here so killing them all isn't that impossible.

Once you have set the town silent, have at searching and collecting all of its goodies. Even if you collected something before, recheck it now as most everything reappears. When you think you have everything, make your way up the path to the northeast and leave through the gates there.

Watch out for the bear traps.
Watch out for the bear traps.

Farm

Quickly run around to the shack on the small shack on the left to find the typewriter. Save and then go around to the left side of the shack to find another well with an open cover. Do the same thing as before, shot the brace and then shoot and collect the shiny Spinel hanging over it. Hop over the fence to the left with the cows on the other side. Start shooting and taking out the locals over here and more will flock to your position. A good place to funnel them is in the small shack out back of the cows. Lure them here and use the shotgun on them for the least usage of ammo.

Search the larger barn for a bunch of items. They are hidden a few wooden boxes, barrels and some cabinets. When you are ready, make your way to the gate to the southeast of the map. Watch out for the bear traps however! Head though the gate.

Path to Luis

Head down the path until you see the two locals on the bridge above you. Shoot the two unsuspecting guards and then pass just under the bridge. Just on the other side you should be able to find an Action Spot where you can use the Hook Shot to reach the bridge. On the bridge you will find some Handgun Ammo and a Beerstein. Drop back down to the path below and continue on your way. Proceed through the tunnel and out the other side to find an open area with a half standing house in the middle.

Shoot the guy to the right with the dynamite in hand. Quickly kill him, as you will have company on the left. Try to lure these wondering loonies back to the mouth of the tunnel. Once the coast is clear, step back out of the tunnel and aim at the window in the middle of the house in front of you. If you can see a small stick-like thing slightly swaying at the bottom of the high window, it is more than likely a stick of dynamite. Shoot the stick to help clear this room. Make your way around the right of the house. On the backside there will be a window in which you can jump through. However, before diving in head first, you should work on clearing this house from outside. There is a bunch a guys in here still. Shoot your way through them from the safety of the window. When all is quiet, hop through the window and search the room for items. As you enter the other room a cutscene will be triggered.

After the scene, make your way into the house you saw Leon and Luis be carried out of. You'll find a crazy local in the first room along with a typewriter. Search this entire house for items and supplies before heading back the way you came. You'll find another Ganado in the far back of the house just standing by himself. Clear the house and save before making the long trek back up the path you just came down.

Return to the House

From this abandoned house, you'll need to make your way all the way back to the village. Head back up through the tunnel. Try to shoot the guy's stick of dynamite before he notices you. Continue up the path with a Hand Grenade equipped. As you near the bridge overhead a group of Ganados will drop down. One grenade should put them out of commission. Continue up the path to find two more guys just before the gate. Take them out and proceed through the gate back to the farm.

Where's Leon?
Where's Leon?

The farm will be pretty empty this time through. Pick up the few new items that appear out in the open. Save at the typewriter if you wish and then proceed out the gate you originally came through to reach the village.

Blast your way through the village as you will be attacked by a good size horde of locals. A grenade or two in the middle of this horde will save on ammo. Head back to the gate to the southwest of the village. You'll face off against a few more locals here. Kill them and you'll notice one of them is wearing Leon's jacket. Head through the gate and proceed to make your way all the way up to the house you started in. Watch the long cutscene. Once the scene begins in the tunnel, be ready for an interactive action point.

Lift Area

After the interactive cutscene you'll find yourself inside a small tunnel. Blast the three goons away and grab the Green Catseye from the chest behind you. Proceed up the tunnel to find another Ganado by a hole with a ladder. Kill him and jump down the hole. You'll land in another tunnel with some more baddies. Notably one has some dynamite. Quickly dispatch with the locals and collect the Herb along the cave.

As you head outside you'll find that you are on the side of some cliffs. Head up the stairs and into the control room. Pick up the Iron Key from the table in front of the Merchant. Raid the lockers behind him and sell and buy what you need to. When you are ready, make your way back down the stairs and further down the next set. You'll come across a typewriter and a gate to use the Iron Key in. Proceed through the gate.

Collect the Catseye to the right of the warehouse.
Collect the Catseye to the right of the warehouse.

Warehouse

Follow the path down to find a warehouse at the end. Go around to the right side of the structure to pick up the Yellow Herb and the Red Catseye. Now enter the warehouse from the front. As you step into the warehouse a chainsaw wielding crazy lady will drop down from above. Rush her and the other loony with the shotgun to start things off early. Blast them away and collect the Lift Activation Key from her dead body. Search around and pick up all the items from the first and second floor before leaving. Head back up to the lift area.

Lift Area

Blast your way back up the path past the typewriter. Head up the stairs and kill the locals along the way. Go into the control room and use the Lift Activation Key on the control panel. Make your way around to the other side of the now moving lift and get on. All is pretty quiet at the top of the lift. Run down along the path to the left. You'll find a typewriter in the small house and some ammo out behind it. Use the Merchant to the stairs and the go through the large doors to the southwest of the map.

El Gigante

When you first enter this area all will be quiet. Search around and collect all the items and supplies from this first area. Search the small shacks and be sure to look up for wooden barrels on platforms above. If you see one up there, it means you can Hook Shot to it. Move around to find each spot to trigger the Hook Shot action. When you have cleared the area of everything, proceed through the large second gate to pick up the Red Herb. Make your way down the path and El Gigante will attack at the end.

El Gigante is a lot easier with Ada and her weapon arsenal. Pull out your TMP and unload into the creature's face until it kneels down. As it is stunned run around to its back and climb up and stab the creature's weak spot by wiggling the Wii-mote. Repeat this process and the beast will go down after two or three time. Collect the massive amount of PTAS and the Herb by the exit before leaving. Make your way up the next path to end the chapter.

Chapter 3

Garden Maze

Search the maze for every last item.
Search the maze for every last item.

You'll begin this chapter in the maze of the castle. Talk to the Merchant and buy the Large Attaché Case along with selling any valuables you may have. You will be finding Bowgun Bolts around so picking up the Bowgun isn't a bad idea either. Case in point; directly behind the Merchant is some bolts on the fountain. When you are ready, follow the path to the right. This will trigger a small cutscene that shows the crazy cult members are alerted to your presence. Take out the two coming down the stairs at you and then step back to the Merchant's area and shoot the crossbow man up on the ledge in the distance.

Before heading up over the stairs, follow the path to the right and take out the red robe wearing cult guy. Open the chest here to collect the TMP Ammo. Now proceed up the stairs and over the small bridge. The garden here is home to a lot of ammo and other items. It's well worth your time and energy to search the entire thing. If you have a rifle, use the bridge to look around and pick off any enemies you can see from here. Then simply equip the shotgun and sneak around clearing any cult members hiding in the shrubs. Follow every path to its end, as you will generally find something at the end of them all. Be sure to find the Gold Bangle w/ Pearls at the fountain on the raised platform. Once you are pretty sure you've collected everything make your way up the castle balcony and inside.

Above the bed hangs the Elegant Perfume Bottle.
Above the bed hangs the Elegant Perfume Bottle.

Castle

You'll find yourself inside what looks like a bedroom. To the left is a bed. Walk up to the foot of it and aim up at the ceiling above it to see a shinny object there. Shoot it down and collect the Elegant Perfume Bottle. Proceed to break all the vases in here and check all the wardrobes for supplies. Find your way to the typewriter to the right and then head through the double doors nearby.

Quickly take out the guy with the crossbow at the other end of the hall. Then just wait for another cult member to wander around the corner. Kill him then proceed down the corridor and around to the left to find another narrow passage but with dinning tables in the middle. Run down along the tables and turn to the right to see yet another cult member waiting for you. Take him out and then step back to enter the larger red room with the treasure chest in the middle. As you enter the room a cage will fall and trap in inside much like in Leon's mission.

Equip the shotgun and quickly blast the locks off on of cage doors. Just get yourself out of this cage! If you can, run out to the hallway as to lure the cult members through the doorway one at a time. Hopefully the blind guy with massive blades doesn't get out of the cage that easily as you should kill all the "normal" baddies before worrying about mister bad-temper. If he is out of the cage by the time you've killed everyone else, simply stay on the opposite side of the room as him. Using the rifle here would be a huge time and ammo saver as well.

Once the room is clear and the guys stop dropping in from the ceiling, check the treasure chest in the middle of the cage for your clue. Now step back out into the dinning room like hallway. Go through the door to the south to find the Merchant waiting for you. There's a bunch of items in here to collect as well. When you are ready head through the door at the other end.

Break the vase for some Handgun Ammo then go down the long hallway to the south and kill the cult member here. On the way back up the hallway you can spy another baddy in the window across the way. Kill him and keep an eye out for an approaching crazy with a shield. Make your way through the door to the east and up the stairs. You'll find yourself outside along a balcony. Blast your way through the enemies out here and to the small room to the north. You won't be able to open the door but you can Hook Shot into it. Kill the guy in here and collect all the items from the treasure chest. Most importantly, the Hourglass w/ Gold Decor.

Head all the way back to the room with the cage and set the hourglass into the empty treasure chest. Proceed through the newly unlocked door. Here you'll find Leon fending off hordes of cult members but you cannot do anything to help. Don't worry; you'll be attacked by your own horde of crazy people here. Blast your way across the platform and use it to keep new arrivals bunched up. Use grenades to save on ammo and be sure to collect the Elegant Chessboard under the raised platform.

Go through the door at the other end of the platform and take out the rest of cult members here. Shoot down the Flash Grenade to the right in the archway and then head through the door.

Chapter 4

Go through the door on the left.
Go through the door on the left.

Factory

Use the Merchant if you want and then proceed down the tunnel. Blast the crazy locals and take a left. This small corridor will quickly end with another Ganado but has a few items hidden about. Find the two Hook Shot spots in here to reach the upper platforms and collect the ammo. Head back out and begin further down the main tunnel. Notice the enemies at the end and the red barrel. If they haven't spotted you yet, shoot one to get their attention and then shoot the red barrel to take them out as they run by it. The tunnel will be blocked here but find the door on the left and go through it.

Blast way through this room. A horde will probably enter through the far door. A single grenade should put them in their place. Open the door at the far end only to get the attention of more crazies out there. Back up and left them come to you through this door. Take them out with some sort of radial weapon, shotgun, grenade, the bowgun. Know that there's a crossbow wielding Ganado to the left as you step back out into the main tunnel. He's up on a platform and needs to be shot down. With him out of the way, go to the right to find another Hook Shot spot near the overhead ventilation pipes. Once on the pipes you'll find a broken vent shaft. Climb through and be ready for a giant Ganado with a hammer who's waiting for you around the corner. Blast him and drop into the room below via the second broken vent covering.

Hook Shot to the vent pipes here.
Hook Shot to the vent pipes here.

Kill the guy in this small room and collect the items. Head through the door to find yourself near where you started but on the over side of a blocked off area. Pick up the Golden Lynx in front of you and then climb up on a box to the right and pick up the Bowgun Bolts. Climb over this wreckage and drop back down on the other side to land about where you used the Hook Shot to rest the vents. Run down to the opposite end of the main tunnel to find a Hook Shot spot near the raised platform. Hook Shot up to the platform and enter the door up here.

Battleship

Make your way down the platform along side the massive boat to your left. Pick up the TMP Ammo along the way. You'll come to a mounted gun turret which needs a blue battery key. Continue to the right to pick up the hand grenade and go down the stairs. At the bottom of the stairs you'll be ambushed by Ganados and gun turrets mounted on the battleship. Quickly run around to the right of the giant crate in front of you. On the other side you will find the key needed to operate the gun turret. Now quickly run back the way you came and up the stairs to hop into the gun turret. Use it to blow up all the enemy turrets and the Ganados hanging around the ship.

When you have destroyed them all a small scene will ensure and your turret will be destroyed. Run back down the stairs and climb up the ladder. Make your way to the end of this platform to collect all the goodies. Turn around and run back to the start of this platform to find where the moving platforms dock. Stand near the edge here and opt to Get On. Ride the rotating platform to the battleship and Get Off.

Blast your way to the left and climb the ladder mounted to the side of the ship. Fight your way all the way to the east of the ship until another cutscene reveals more enemy gun turrets. Directly in front of you a gun turret will appear. Before it can turn and shoot you, find the spot and Hook Shot your way up above. On this small raised platform you should find the Red Key for the second gun turret. There will be another Hook Shot spot up here that will get you exactly where you need to go. Hook Shot across to the other platform to find the second gun turret.

As soon as you shot one of the enemy turrets a timer will begin. Quickly blow up all the remaining turrets. You will be ejected from the turret when you have done this. Now you'll need to run and blast your way all the way back to where you just where. Drop down from the gun turret platform and follow the same path as last time. Quickly make your way to the east side of the boat to find a cage door. Kick the door open and go through it before the timer gets to zero to watch the boat sink. Gather the items and supplies here. Use the Merchant and typewriter and go through the door.

Outside Factory

Make your way along the platform around to the left, blasting all the Ganados on the way. The door at the other end will be locked from the other side. Simply jump down to the ground near the door and take out all the locals here. There is a red barrel here for you to use so do so when more than one guy is near it. Watch out for a crossbow firing Ganado on the upper platform at the end. Shoot him down and then Hook Shot up to this platform.

Follow the platform to the ladder.
Follow the platform to the ladder.

Use the ladder and then turn to the left. Shoot the red barrel as the locals approach you. After you have dispatch with them, turn directly around and climb the small set of stairs to pick up the Green Stone of Judgment. Turn back around and head down the stairs and along the platform. Go through the door and kill all the locals. Jump down from the ledge to land on the other side of the locked door. Continue down the curvy walkway eliminating and baddies along the way. Climb the ladder at the very end.

Back Inside

Go through the door to the left. In here you'll find the Red Stone of Faith along with a bunch of ammo. Head back out to the main room and up the stairs to find a typewriter. Use it to save and head through the door at the end of the hallway.

Head down the stairs and blast the shielded Ganados. Pick up the Blue Stone of Treason and continue down the stairs to the doors at the bottom. Kill the two crazy guys here in the boiler room and go through the door to the south. Here you should be able to hear Leon and Krauser. Hook Shot your way to the platform above and watch the cutscene with controller in hand as you will have to interact with it to save Leon's life.

Chapter 5

Enemy Camp

It's clear that Leon has been through here as the place has been almost completely leveled by the chopper. Talk to the Merchant and buy the Extra Large Attaché Case. Head up the path to the clearing. Take out the guy behind the dumpster on the left and as you step into the opening a chaingun carrying Ganado will attack. Defeat him and Hook Shot your way up to the top of this outpost. Kill the guy up here and collect the Blue Eye from the metal barrel to the left.

Jump back down and poke your head around the next bend in the pathway. Get the attention of the locals and back up to take them out. You're avoiding the crossbow guy out there. Kill all the Ganados then pop out and shoot the guy with the crossbow. Watch out for the guy hiding on the upper platform to the left here. He throws dynamite so don't go too far up this path without killing him first. That Yellow Herb is really tempting to go up and grab, but before you do, run up to the bridge to the left of it and shoot the red barrel across the way to take the horde about to come get you.

Now pick up the herb and climb the ladder to the dynamite guy's hideout to collect the Red Herb. Cross the bridge and know that as soon as you walk up the steps to the tower you will be blocked in so be sure you've gotten everything before heading up there. Once you are sealed into the base of the tower you will have to fend of a horde of Ganados as you wait for the door to unlock. Put yourself into a corner and blast them with the shotgun or TMP.

When the door opens, shoot the red barrel down the path to take out another dynamite throwing guy along with a crossbow dude. Know that there is another crossbow guy out to the left. When he is dead, make your way out to the left and drop down into the little camp. There's a crazy local in the tent on the right. Collect the items in the tents and climb up the ladder. Head back around and up the stairs in the mountainside. At the top you will find a zip line to use. Zip down the platform and drop down to activate the door switch.

Go through the now open gate only to have it shut behind you as you enter the next area. Quickly take out the archers. There are two on the ground level and three up on the catwalks. Once they are dead run around and pick up all the items around the ground floor. Then use the ladder in the small tunnel by the entrance. As you cross the platforms up here a chaingun wielding Ganado will appear. Take him out with the rifle or bowgun. Kick open the closed gate at the end and activate the switch. Now you need to go to the other side and do the same. As you reach the platforms there via another ladder, yet another chaingunning Ganado will show up. Deal with him then hit the switch to open the gate. Make your way through the open gate and into the door.

Cliffside Ruins

Make your way up the path and start picking off the enemies in the distance. If you run up to the cliffs edges you can view the wrecked chopper down below. Take out the rest of the archers further down the path then explore around to collect this area's items. About four Ganados will ambush you as you search under a small platform. Take them out and be sure to shoot down the Red Eye from the broken archway. Continue down the path and go through the large gates at the end.

Grab the Handgun and Shotgun Ammo along the path ahead and drop into the hole further up. Take the Bowgun Bolts from the alter behind the ladder and go throw the doorway to trigger a cutscene. After the scene go through the door at the end of the corridor.

Prison

You'll now find yourself inside a small prison. Use the Merchant and the typewriter then be ready to take out the crossbow wielding local at the far end of the prison hallway. Other Ganados will file into the narrow tunnel. Take them out then check all around for items. Kick open the prison cell doors. The last cell on the right contains a Green Eye so be sure to pick that up. When you are ready to move on, climb up onto the platform with door and step through it. Walk down the stairs to pick up the ammo. As you step past the stairway you will interrupted by a cutscene, which will trigger a battle with Krauser.

Krauser

Equip something like your TMP or the shotgun. Aim for Krauser's legs as he approaches you. After enough damage he will become stunned and drop to one knee. Shot him in the head now. Repeat this process and Krauser will then drop a flash grenade and move to another platform. When you reach the second platform, quickly run around and pick up all the items in the middle. Then simply return to the same routine here of shooting him in the legs until he eventually jumps to the third and final platform. Again, grabs the items from here and then return to blasting his legs until he finally dies once and for all.

After the battle you will Hook Shot to yet another platform. Pick up the Butterfly Lamp to the left of where you land. Follow the catwalk around to find the Merchant and typewriter. Pick up the items then use Hook Shot at the end of the platform to begin the next scene.

Saddler

This is a pretty tough battle on your first try. It's hard to know whether you are actually damaging him or not. The truth is, you probably aren't. You need to be hitting him in his concealed mouth eye. If you aren't seeing ths eye at all then you aren't doing anything but tickling him. Of course watch out of the button sensitive dodges as Saddler has a lot of attacks that will trigger them.

Instead of just unloading into him continuously, you should wait and time your shots. First be sure to be shooting him with the Bowgun or the Rifle (semi-auto). Aim at his head and wait for him to start an attack. It may take some practice but watch carefully and you should be able to see him twitch a bit before he attacks you. Fire as soon as you see this and your shot will actually stun Saddler! Once stunned Saddler will hunch forward and open his mouth, which reveals his eye. You can either shot the eye again or run up and stab it. Either way, just repeat this process and Saddler will go down.

Construction Site

Here you'll be able to see Leon in the distance battling with the mutated Saddler. Pick up the First Aid Spray on your starting platform and then find the Hook Shot spot here. Hook Shot to the scaffolding. Once here a timer will begin. You'll need to hurry if you want to make. Quickly follow the catwalks around and drop down the lower ones. Don't worry about killing all the Ganados, just use the shotgun to clear the path so you can run by them.

Keep following the platforms and you'll come to another place to use the Hook Shot. Do so and race around this scaffolding until you find another Hook Shot spot. This one will drop you off just above the rocket launcher you are trying to reach. Quickly drop down and grab the launcher before the time runs out to clear the game.
