About
Kilik was an infant when the monks of the Ling-Sheng Su Temple found him on their doorstep. They attempted to find his parents but gave up after some time and decided to raise him as one of their own. Years past and Kilik grew into the finest student of the temple. He eventually became a teacher there and grew a strong sibling-like bond with Xianglian.
One night, Xianglian came to Kilik's room to tell him that the monks were appointing her with Dvapara-Yuga, the temple's holy mirror. The elder monks however felt great evil closing in on the temple. They quickly gave the mirror to Xianglian and gave the sacred staff to Kilik. Evil Seed then rained down upon the temple. All the inhabitants quickly went crazy and began fighting and killing one another. Even Kilik was infected by this madness. The only person to retain their sanity was Xianglian. She then realized this was due to the mirror's powers. She then gave the mirror to Kilik. He regained his mind as she slipped into madness like the others. Kilik came to to find dead bodies of his fellow monks all around him. He tried to leave but was forced to fight Xianglian who was now insane with rage. Kilik did his best to not hurt his closest friend but was forced to kill her.
The Blade Master, an old man, came upon the temple carnage and found an unconscious Kilik. The Blade Master decided to burn the temple down and take Kilik with him. When Kilik awoke, the Blade Master informed him that Kilik and the entire temple had been infected by the Evil Seed which seemed from the cursed blade, Soul Edge. Kilik quickly began to train with the Blade Master and learned how to purify evil. After three years of intensive training, the Blade Master gave Kilik a task; destroy the Soul Edge.
On Kilik's quest to destroy the Soul Edge, he has made friends and enemies alike. He and Maxi once travel together for sometime. In the time spent questing for the cursed sword, Kilik has learned of its relationship with the Soul Calibur sword. Kilik now believes that the two blades are need to rid the world of both. He now sets out with Xianghua at his side with plans of ridding the world of these two power weapons.
Tactics
- If you are new to the Soul Caliber series, Kilik is a good character to start with. His long range and poking moves will help you keep a safe distance from more powerful and skilled foes. Kilik is also "button-mash" friendly with simple, yet effective throw and simultaneous press moves.
- Kilik's sacred bo, Kali-Yuga, gives him a longer reach than most characters. His Heavy Bo and Reverse Bo Thrust attacks are also among some of the most damaging attacks. Kilik gamers will want to keep their distance from their enemies. His speed is on the slow side so close range combat isn't his speciality. However, if they do get clos, do a horizontal attack combo (in other words, mash Horizontal and the direction you're facing). Keep your distance and wait for the right moment to attack.
- Kilik can easily knockdown or take off a BIG chunk of health by tapping square (XB360:X) twice while dashing right (assuming you're facing the right direction). This allows you to swing your weapon high, and then quickly swing it low. It is most likely going to hit the most unsuspecting of people, or people who aren't good at crouching and guarding a lot.
Kilik Move List
These directions are written for characters facing right. Reverse the left/right directions if your character is facing left. The Xbox and PS3 commands assume you are using control settings type A. For information about Universal Notation, see the Gameplay and Terms page.
