About
Raphael was born into the noble Sole family. Trained in the arts of fencing as a young boy he was set to become a nobleman one day. However, tragedy struck when the Evil Seed rained down on a friendly noble who then went insane and attacked Raphael. Raphael was forced to defend himself and ended up killing the noble who was actually a friend and ally of his family. The Sole family quickly turned on Raphael. They banished him and helped hunt him down. Raphael reached a small village where a young girl named Amy helped hide Raphael from his pursuers and aided in healing him. Not accustomed to kindness from others, Raphael quickly grew found of the young Amy and set out to protect her at all cost.
Fleeing France to save Amy of the terrors of war, Raphael soon learned of the Evil Seed and it's connection to the noble that attacked him. He then discovered its connection to the cursed blade known as the Soul Edge. Raphael then sot out to acquire this blade so that it would not fall into the wrong hands. He found the blade and did battle with Nightmare. Raphael was ultimately defeated by the evil being, but managed to fend off his attacker enough to escape. He eventually made it back to his new home where Amy once again nursed him back to health. However, he had been wounded by the Soul Edge. Now he was infected by it's evil and Amy was as well from simply tending to the wounds.
Their skin became pale, they feared day light and they grew a thirst for blood. Raphael and Amy had changed. Raphael eventually stumbled across a holy stone that he believed could heal Amy and himself. However it did not. He then felt the Soul Edge growing in power as it resurfaced. He now sets out to acquire the evil blade once more in hops of restoring or at least protecting his beloved Amy.
Tactics
- Without many standing position low attacks, this character can easily be dodged by crouching. To deal with this problem, dash and kick to do a trip attack, forcing the opponent to Ukemi back to standing position, or fall and come back up in a standing position. This gives a big chance to strike at the middle and high sections.
