Act One

This act covers the first part of the game: Endar Spire and the planets of Taris and Dantooine.

Endar Spire

Unlike the rest of the game, this level is rather linear; there really is only one direction to go. This is also the tutorial level; game instructions will appear on the screen. If you want to review any of the instructions you can see them in your journal located in the main menu.

As the game starts, your character will be awoken by explosions. Thrask Ulgo enters and speaks to you. Head over to your footlocker and equip whatever you want, including clothes.

Now Thrask is part of your party. Switch party members to control Thrask by pressing the black button (Xbox). Use his security skill to open the lock. You can now switch back to your character if you wish. You'll now have to fight your way through the ship.

As you go through the ship be sure to open any containers you find and search the bodies of enemies you've defeated.

Fight your way to the bridge. There you'll find some bodies with money and other items you can pick up. The exit to the room in just to the right of the entrance.

Go through the empty room, then go straight through the next door. Here you'll encounter a dark Jedi. Thrask will leave the party to attack him. You should go back to the empty room, then take the door on the side. Continue on through the ship.

You'll get a message from Carth telling you to sneak by a group of Sith. You can sneak by them like he suggests, or you can fight them.

Soon you'll be presented with a choice. You can either make a computer terminal explode to kill your enemies in the next room, or you can repair a droid to kill them. Be sure to search their bodies to pick up an improved weapon.

Continue on to the escape pods where you'll meet up with Carth. Enter the escape pods and finish the level.

Taris

You'll wake up in an apartment, which is your base for this level. Speak to Carth for some backstory and he'll tell you about Bastila Shan. You have a workbench in the apartment where you can upgrade some of your weapons. You should be able to upgrade a weapon with a part, if you picked them up in the previous level. When you leave the apartment have Carth join your party.

The Search for Bastila

To find Bastila, you'll have to get to the lower city. To do so, you'll need Stith uniforms to get past some guards. There are two ways to get the uniforms.

The first involves a trip to the cantina. There you can find Sarna. Speak to her, and use the following replies:

  1. You're from the military base? You don't look like one of the Sith.
  2. Nice to meet you, Sarna. I'm (name)
  3. (Persuade) You're just doing your job, right? I don't hold that against you.
  4. You've got a positive attitude.
  5. You need to blow off steam once in a while.
  6. Sounds good. I'll be there.

Now head to the North Apartments. Once there everyone drinks some ale passes out. You can now steal the uniforms.

The other way to get the uniforms is to head directly over to the apartments without speaking to Sarna. Rescue the person being attacked by Sith guards. Kill the guards and take their uniforms.

Once you have the uniforms, put them on and you can take the elevator to the lower city. As soon as you step off the elevator, you'll walk into a firefight. Get out of the way and let the two groups fighting kill each other off. Wait until the shooting stops, then take out anybody who's still standing.

Head left and go to the lower city cantina. There you'll see a cut scene with a Tel'ik named Mission and Wookie named Zaalbar. Speak to them before you leave, you'll be seeing them later on in this level.

Go to the Hidden Bek base. Speak to Gadon, who will ask you to get him a prototype swoop bike accelerator. To do so, you'll have to travel through the undercity, through the sewers, and into the Vulkar base. Gadon will give you papers that allow you to access the undercity.

Explore the "town" at the undercity. You can pick up several side quests here.

To leave the area, go to the gate where there is a man trapped outside. Offer to kill the Rackghouls. The guard will open the gate for you. Once the Rackghouls are dead, you'll be able to go through the gate whenever you like.

Explore around until you find Mission. Offer to help her find Zaalbar (her wookie companion) and she'll join your party. Along the north wall, in a corner is the entrance to the sewers. Go inside.

As you enter there will be a mine. Disable it, recover it, or set it off. Take your first right, go down the hall and take the first right. Then open the door to your left. Here you'll find Zaalbar. In the next room is Zaalbar's bowcaster.

Go to the force field generator and Mission will disable it.

Get the severed arm, it has an odor vial that will attract the Rancor. Head over to the Rancor pit. Place a frag grenade and the sent vial inside the pile of bones. This should attract, then kill the Rancor. If you don't have the odor vial, you can lay down a whole bunch of mines, then attack the Rancor. Run around the room and the Rancor will chase you. Lead it over the mines, and after it steps on enough mines, it will die.

Open the door, kill the two guards and move forward.

Take the elevator down. Go into the Vulkar base. You'll have to fight your way through the base.

Find and repair the broken droid. Use it to set off the gas mine.

Next to the armory you'll find a console. Use it to disable the turrets.

Go to the computer room. Use the console to overload the swoop bike. This will kill several Vuakars.

You'll have to defeat a Combat droid. Like all droids, Ion blasters and grenades do extra damage against it.

Find the room with the accelerator. Once you find it, the Vulkar leader will make you an offer. Your decision should be based on which side of the force you want to pursue:

Light Side Decline the Vulkar's offer and fight them. Take the accelerator back to the Bek base and agree to race.

Dark Side Speak to the Vulkar leader, agree to kill Gadon. Go to the Bek base and kill Gadon. Go back to the Vulkars and agree to race.

Once you agree to race, you'll spend the night at the base. The next day you'll be taken to the racetrack. First you'll speak to a mechanic who will give you the basic information you'll need to race. When you're ready to race, speak to the race announcer.

Race, and win.

Once you've won the race, Brejik will accuse you of cheating. You'll have to fight him and his crew, but you'll have Bastilla's help.

You'll be returned to your apartment where you and your party will try to find a way off the planet.

Escaping the Planet

Speak to Cancerous in the lower city cantina. Agree to his plan. You'll have to get the clearance codes for him.

Go to Janice Nall's Droid Shop. Ask for the T3-M4. You have three options:

  • pay 2000 credits
  • uses persuade to negotiate her down to 1500 credits
  • threaten her to get it for free. This will also get you Dark Side points.

Put T3-M4 in your party. Go to the Sith Base, which is just past the elevator to the lower city. Use T3-M4 to enter the base.

At the base you can use persuade on the receptionist to accept a 50 credit bribe, or you can fight all the Sith that come when she hits the alarm. Either way, use her computer to access camera "CAM-S05: Elevator." On this camera, disable the shield and open the elevator. You can also use the terminal to kill many of the Sith on this level.

Move through the base until you find Duros, an imprisoned alien. You can free him by pressing the first, third, and fifth panels. This action will earn you Light Side points. If you want to join the dark side, push some other panels to kill him.

Kill the Sith Governor, get the codes and leave.

Before continuing on make sure you have completed all the side quests (listed below) you want to do. Once you tell Cancerous you're ready to go, the rest of the planet will be locked to you and you will not be able to return.

Cancerous will con your way into Davik's estate. You'll find yourself in a room. Your first task is to find and free the pilot.

Looking at the map, it looks like there might be a hidden area next to the Ebon Hawk hangar, but there isn't.

Get to the Ebon Hawk. There you'll encounter Davik. You'll have to fight him, but partway through the battle the hanger will explode and he'll be killed by falling debris. Be sure to grab his armor, then run for the Ebon Hawk. Once inside a cut scene will start and you'll leave the planet.

The last thing to do before the level ends is a mini-game. You'll have to shoot down some fighters that are attacking the Ebon Hawk.

Wounded Republic Soldiers

The Promised Land

Dantooine

Jedi Training

Your first goal on this level is to become a Jedi. Bastila will inform you that the council wants to speak to you. On your way there, a Jedi woman will ask you why you're not wearing Jedi robes. She's not important now, but you'll need to speak to her later.

Speak to the council. After an extended cutscene showing you training, Master Vrook will ask you to learn the Jedi code. You learn it from the Jedi woman who asked you about your robes earlier. If you want to save time, speak to Vrook immediately and provide the following answers:

  • There is no emotion... There is peace.
  • There is no ignorance... There is knowledge.
  • There is no passion... There is serenity.
  • There is no chaos... There is harmony.
  • There is no death... There is the Force.

Now speak to Master Dorak. He'll ask you questions and recommend what type of Jedi you should be. There are no right or wrong answers to his questions. You do not have to follow his recommendation. He will ask you what color crystal you want, and what type of Jedi you want to be. This decision of Jedi class will stay with you for the rest of the game, so choose carefully. You may want to save the game before you choose. Note that although the class choice is permanent, you may change the color of your lightsaber at any time without an effect on the game. All you need is a crystal of the desired color, and then change it out using a workbench.

Congratulations, you are now a Jedi. You are given a quest to investigate a nearby grove.

Investigate the Disturbance

Go to the Jedi droid in the courtyard and leave the enclave. Outside are several quest givers that you'll want to speak with.

A little ways past the bridge you'll encounter kathi hounds. These provide experience.

Go to the grove. To get there head south to the Matale Grounds. Then head east, all the way to the end of the map. Then head south to the grove.

At the grove you'll encounter Juhani. She will freeze your other party members, so you'll have to fight her alone. When you've defeated her instead of dying, she'll talk to you.

Light side: talk her into going back to the Enclave

  1. Who are you?
  2. You embraced the dark side? Why?
  3. The dark side is never powerful enough.
  4. I was sent by the Council to cleanse the taint from this grove.
  5. (Persuade) I have no desire to kill you, Juhani.
  6. (Persuade) Come now, Juhani. You are a beautiful young woman who has much talent.
  7. (Persuade) It is not your fault, Juhani.
  8. (Persuade) Do not worry, Juhani. They will surely take you back.
  9. (Persuade) Of course it would. They would always accept you back.

Another way you can convince her to go back:

  1. Why did you attack me?
  2. You've been corrupting the Kath Hounds?
  3. The dark side is never powerful enough.
  4. I was sent by the Council to cleanse the taint from this grove.
  5. I do not hold anger towards you, Juhani. I wish you peace.
  6. The first step on the path of true knowledge is knowing that you are ignorant.
  7. Even in death, the Force will allow her to live on.
  8. Anger? Show them that you have freed yourself of this base passion.
  9. Your inner peace and harmony will show them your sincerity.

Dark side: [kill her???]

Investigate Ruins

Go to the strange ruins. To get there, go outside the enclave, cross the bridge, and head east to the end of the map. Enter the underground building. Inside is a droid, talk to it and it will give you some information and tell you about some tests. There are two computers, each has a test. Note the order of the solution doesn't matter. Life Solution: Oceanic, Arboreal, Grassland. Death Solution: Desert, Volcanic, Barren. Go to the Star Map. Speak to the Jedi council

Other Quests on Dantooine

You can do these while you're doing the main quest, after, or you can leave the planet and come back and do them. Your final option is to not do them at all.

Mandalorian Raiders

There are three groups of Mandalorians. Each group is a mix of Mandalorians and Duros.

Sandral-Matale Feud

Head to the Matale house. From the Jedi Enclave, head across the bridge and then south to the next map. Once there turn east and keep going until you see a building. In front of the house is a droid. Tell him that you're from the Jedi Council and he will bring out Ahlan Matale. Speak to him.

From the Matale house, head east. Near a tree you'll find a body.

Head west, then south to get to the Sandral estate. Again tell the droid guard that you're from the Jedi Council. Nurik Sandral will speak to you. Tell him you've found his son's body and show him the journal you found. Refuse his reward for light side points; take it for dark side points. Next speak to his daughter, Rahasia. She will give you a key to the side door. Take the key, go outside and enter the side door. Inside the door is mine and a combat droid. You can either fight your way through the house, or use the computer terminal in the first room to kill them with the security system. Go through the door and down the hallway. In one of the rooms you'll find Shen. Convince him to go with you by telling him that you'll take Rahasia as well. Go speak to Rahasia and convince her to go with you. Go back to Shen and a cut scene will take you outside. Everyone will be outside. For lightside points use the following dialogue :

  1. It was no problem
  2. No reward is necessary
  3. You two just need to calm down
  4. Both of you calm down now!
  5. [Persuade] Shen is capable of making decisions on his own
  6. [Persuade] Children grow up and leave eventually
  7. You'll let them stay together?
  8. Why don't you compromise?

If your persuades work, everyone will be happy. If you want darkside points, antagonize them until they fight.

Missing Companion

Just outside the Jedi Enclave, across the bridge is a speeder. Next to the speeder is a woman who will ask you for help. Her droid is missing and she'd like you to find it. The droid is far to the east of the Sanderal Estate. It is being attacked by Kath Hounds. You must kill the hounds and then speak to the droid. Convince the droid to return to its owner.

To the east of the droid is a cave where you'll find crystals for your lightsaber.

Murdered Settler

In the northeast part of the grove, near a bridge, you'll find Bolook. He'll ask for your help solving a murder. All you have to do is speak to the parties involved (they're all in one place) and figure out what happened. To finish the quest speak to the following people and choose the

Handon Guld:

  1. No.
  2. Did you see the killer?

Rickard:

  1. Tell me what happened.
  2. What did you see happen?
  3. I want to ask you something else.
  4. Why were you out here?
  5. I want to ask you something else.
  6. Bolook said you were limping. Are you hurt?
  7. That's all for now.

Handon:

  1. What did you see happen?
  2. I want to ask you something else.
  3. Why were you out here?
  4. Do you often run around these plains?
  5. You're holding your side. Are you injured?
  6. Nothing more right now.

Droid:

  1. What did you find out about the body?
  2. Tell me about these plains.
  3. I will have more questions later.

Bolook:

  1. I want to discuss the murder.
  2. Rickard is lying.
  3. It was cloudy; there was no sun glare!

Handon:

  1. Did you know the victim?
  2. No one says you killed him... yet.
  3. I want to ask you something else.
  4. Why would someone want to kill him?
  5. That's all for now.

Rickard:

  1. Did you know the victim?
  2. I want to ask you something else.
  3. Why would someone want to kill him?
  4. That's all for now.

Droid:

  1. What can you tell me about Calder and Handon?
  2. What can you tell me about Calder and Rickard?
  3. I will have more questions later.

Handon

  1. You knew Calder better than you admit. You rented a speeder with him!
  2. Punch his face in? Why?
  3. That's all for now.

Rickard:

  1. You thought Calder was cheating you!
  2. You can deny it, but there was bad blood between you!

Bolook:

  1. I want to discuss the murder.
  2. Handon is lying.
  3. He knew his wife was cheating on him.

Handon.

  1. What do you know about the weapon found by the body?
  2. Nothing more right now.

Rickard:

  1. What about the weapon found by the body?
  2. That's all for now.

Droid:

  1. Tell me about the weapon found at the scene.
  2. Is there a report of Handon's blaster being stolen?
  3. I will have more questions later.

Bolook:

  1. I want to discuss the murder.
  2. The blaster is Handon's. He lied about it being stolen.

Droid:

  1. Tell me about the blood sample?
  2. I will have more questions later.

Bolook:

  1. I want to discuss the murder.
  2. It didn't belong to the victim.
  3. It's Handon's blood.
  4. He is clutching his side.
  5. No, they are both guilty.
  6. Rickard thought Calder was cheating him in business.

Act Two

In this act, you can go to any of the following planets in any order you wish.

There are some quests or events that are triggered by the number of planets that you have visited:

  • On each planet you'll be attacked by Sith or bounty hunters. Which one attacks you depends on how many planets you've visited:
    • First planet: Three Dark Jedi
    • Second planet: Calo Nord
    • Third planet: Darth Bandon
    • Fourth planet:

There is a set of quests that are given to you on the fourth planet you visit. On your way back to your ship you'll encounter a person who insists that you dropped a data pad. The pad says to see Hulas, and which planet he's on. He will offer you bounties on various people. For each bounty you collect, you'll get money and Dark Side points.

One plot point happens automatically: on the way to your fourth planet you visit (not including Taris or Dantooine), your ship is intercepted by the Leviathan. You will have to complete that level before moving on to your fourth planet. After the Leviathan, you will not be able to return to Dantooine. Be sure you've completed all the Dantooine quests you want to finish before you visit the last planet in this section of the walkthrough.

Manaan

Just outside of the docking bay is a vendor. He'll be looking for an animal, but he won't know what kind. If you have been to Tatooine then you can give him the Gizka you have on your ship.

First go to the Republic Embassy and speak with Roland Wann. Before he gives you the location you'll have to get a data module for him. You can either interrogate the prisoner, fight your way into the Sith base, or you can decrypt the pass card.

To decrypt the pass card, go deeper into the embassy and find the computer. The solution is:

  • First: 1, 2, 4, 6, 11, 16, 22
  • Second: 21, 18, 16, 15, 15, 16, 18
  • Third: 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64
  • Fourth: 2, 1, 0, -2 2
  • Fifth: 1, 32, 81, 64, 25 6
  • Sixth: 1, 0, -8, 3, -32, 5, -128 7

Now head over to the Sith base. Tell the receptionist you have a pass card. You may or may not get in without a fight, depending on your persuade skill. Make your way to the disassembly room. Here you'll find the data module you need to give to Wann.

Be sure you go to the medical room and get a token from the dying Selkath.

Next is a Dark Jedi Master and his two apprentices. Behind them is a footlocker with a data pad. Be sure you get the datapad.

Return to the dying Selkath and show him the data pad.

As you exit the Sith base, you'll be arrested by the local authorities. You'll then have a trial. First you must speak to your attorney. Answer all the questions honestly. In court plead not guilty and show the token and data pad as proof.

If you don't have the token or data pad you can try representing yourself and using the following dialogue responses:

  1. Not guilty
  2. The Sith lured me inside.
  3. They offered me a job.
  4. I refused and they attacked me.

If you are found guilty, you'll be banned from Manaan.

Head back to the Republic Embassy and speak to Wann. You can use the following responses:

  1. Yes, here it is
  2. What has the Republic done?
  3. You violated the treaty?!?
  4. Why have you not investigated?
  5. How will I get down there?

You can now head to the back of the embassy and take the submarine down to Hrakert Station.

Hrakert Station

Hrakert Station is filled with insane Selkath. Move through the facility until you find a computer terminal. Here you can slice into the computer and kill many of your opponents.

Continue on until you find an enviro suit. Then head out the airlock. You have only one suit, so you'll have to go solo.

On the sea floor, you'll see someone else in an envro suit. Follow him. Use the sonic emitter to kill the sharks that get close to you. Then head inside. Once inside there is a research team that's depressurizing the chamber you're in. You can either use the computer to override the system or you can speak to them and convince them to stop.

You now have a choice: you can disable the harvester or poison the water. If you use the poison, you'll get dark side points and the price of med packs will increase for the rest of the game. (The reason is, med packs are made from Khlo seaweed, and the poison will kill the seaweed.)

If you choose the harvester, head over to it and use the following controls:

  1. Fill container pod
  2. Transfer from container to injector
  3. Dump injector pod
  4. Fill injector pod
  5. Dump container pod
  6. Transfer from injector to container
  7. Fill injector pod
  8. Transfer from injector to container
  9. Dump container pod
  10. Transfer from injector to container
  11. Fill injector pod
  12. Transfer from injector to container

Continue on over the bridge and get the Star Forge map element. Head back to the sub and surface to the Republic Embassy. As soon as you get to the Embassy, save your game. There you will be arrested (again) and have to go to court. Use the following dialogue:

  1. The explosions were at the research station both our governments set up there.
  2. The entire station had been driven mad.
  3. A giant firaxan shark was woken up by the harvester.
  4. I destroyed the machinery to save it.

They should let you go. If they ban you from Manaan, go back to your last save game and try again.

Side Quests

Disappearing Selkath Youth

Mercenaries Hired by the Republic

Sunry Murder Trial

Genoharadan Bounties

  • Ithorak
  • Vorn

Tatooine

As you exit a Czerka employee will ask you to pay a docking fee. Persuade him that you don't.

Check out the shops. You may as well pick up Bantha Fodder. You'll need it later.

You'll need to hunting license to leave the town. To get it, head over to the hunting lodge. Outside is a woman trying to sell a plate. Offer to sell the plate for her. Go inside and try to sell the plate to Fazza Utral. He will refuse to buy it because you don't have a hunting license.

Head over to the Czerka office and ask about a license. They'll grant you a license, but only if you agree to stop the Sand People raids. On the way you'll get some information about the Sand People raids.

Head back to the hunting lodge and sell the plate. Head back to the woman. If you want light side points, give her the money and some additional credits. If you want some dark side points, skim some of the money.

As you turn a corner, you'll be attacked by three dark Jedi.

Before you leave, you'll need a translator who can communicate with the Sand People. Go over to the droid shop. Speak to the droid HK-47, then buy him. She wants 5000 credits, but you can talk her down to 2500.

Head for the gate. Speak to the Jawa next to the gate, and show the guard your pass.

Head for the sand crawler. There you'll find a mining party under attack. You'll have to fend off three waves of attacks. By the time you're done you should have enough Sand People clothing to disguise two of your party members. HK-47 doesn't need a disguise. Head for the Sand People enclave.

When you get there one of the Sand People will speak to you. Select the following dialogue:

  1. Quickly, tell him we are not a threat!
  2. Apologize for being here. Say we want peace

Then you'll be taken to the Sand People Chief. Say:

  1. Tell him we want a peaceful solution.
  2. Ask what it is that he wants.
  3. The attacks must stop altogether!
  4. Tell him we will get his moisture vaporators.

Head back to Anchorhead. Go to the Czerka office and buy the moisture vaporators. You can talk them down (use Force Persuade) to 200 credits.

Head back to the Sand People Enclave. You'll be taken to the Chief again. Say:

  1. Tell him that we have his vaporators.
  2. I have a few questions for him.
  3. Ask about captives.
  4. Ask if he knows about Mission's brother Griff.
  5. Ask if he knows about the Jawas Iziz told us about.
  6. Tell him farewell for now.

Immediately speak to the Chief again and say:

  1. Ask about the Star Map.
  2. A krayt dragon? What is that? How do I pass it?
  3. Tell him farewell for now.

If you want to kill and loot all the Sand People, ask about the Sand People culture, then tell him you killed a bunch of Sand People. They will attack but you won't get dark side points (in other words you won't lose light side points).

If you chose to leave peacefully, don't loot any of their baskets. If you do, the Sand People will attack.

Either walk peacefully or fight your way to Griff (Mission's brother). Tell him he is free and give him some money. Find the captured Jawas, and tell them they're free.

Go back to Anchorhead. In the Czerka office turn in the Chief's stick. Then talk to the Jawa near the gate about the Star Map.

Head to the Eastern Dune Sea. Go to the cave entrance. Speak to Komad, and show him the Bantha Fodder you bought in Anchorhead. Go find some Banthas, and use the fodder to lure them to the cave entrance. Speak with Komad to active a cut scene where the dragon is killed.

Now that the dragon is dead you can go inside the cave. There you'll find the Star Map, and a holocon used for Bastila's character quest.

As you leave you'll encounter the boss for this level. It could be Calo Nord or Darth Badon depending on the order you visited the planets. This is the boss battle for this level. After you've defeated him, be sure to take his armor.

Head back to the cantina and speak to Bastila's mother. After that talk to Bastila.

Optional Quests

The Stowaway

This quest starts on the Ebon Hawk. You hear footsteps and noises as you walk around the ship. Look in the large container in the storage room and you'll find a little girl. She doesn't speak anything you can understand, so to get her story you'll have to learn her language.

  1. Hey! What are you doing here?!
  2. I don't understand what you're saying.
  3. I still don't understand you.
  4. Does the name Lur Arka ring a bell? What about Rundil of Sulem?
  5. Can you tell me your name?
  6. [Point to yourself.] My name is (name). You are...?
  7. Sasha... your name is Sasha, right?
  8. [Try to learn Sasha's strange language.]
  9. Bristag? What is that?
  10. It's a thing? Something around here?
  11. "Bristag"... it means "starship", doesn't it?
  12. Esowon? Na esowon?
  13. I see you? Or you see me?
  14. You... you're hiding! "Na esowon" is hide!
  15. I didn't get all of that, but sure.
  16. Laesfa... everything is safe? Is that it?
  17. You... sleep there? "Laesfa" means "sleep"?
  18. The panel... all of this... it's your home. "Laesfa" means "home".
  19. You're hiding in the starship. It's your home. I understand.
  20. You've said that before. What is "gon-disen"?
  21. Something about me, yes, but what?
  22. It's... something you like. Yes, "gon-disen" means you like it.
  23. You like me. I understand.
  24. "Na abds"... you said that when I first found you.
  25. "Abds" means "hit"? Is that it?
  26. So... "abds" is "to hurt"? "Na abds" means "not hurt"? Is that it?
  27. I understand. No, I won't hurt you.
  28. Yum? What kind of word is that?
  29. It's... a part of the ship? A room?
  30. Yum... you mean food, don't you? "Yum" is "food".
  31. Nuh ghis? Is that all one phrase?
  32. The floor? "Nuh ghis" means floor?
  33. You're not speaking... now? "Nug ghis" means "now"! "Na nuh ghis" is not now... or "before"?
  34. You... you want some food now. You're hungry.
  35. Tabed you? What do you mean?
  36. You... want me to tell you a story? About what?
  37. So.. "tabbed" means "tell me about." I get it.
  38. [Communicate with Sasha in her language.]
  39. There is someone there who will take you home. Lur Arka kesta-won you laesfa.
  40. Yes, you can go home.

You should now take her back to Dantoeene. When you land there you'll find Lur Arka Sulas nearby. Speak to him to return the girl.

The Trouble With Gizka

A worker at the space dock tells you that he's loaded some cargo on to your ship. When you go back to the Ebon Hawk you'll find little frog-like animals all over. Each time you come back to the ship there will be more of them. You can either buy poison from one of the Tatooine vendors, or there is a vendor on the planet of Manaan that will take them.

Griff's Proposition

This quest is unlocks after you rescue Griff from the Sand People. He asks for a Tach gland from Kashyyyk. While you're there, you're bound to pick one up, so just come back to Griff before you head out for the Star Forge.

Kashyyyk

When you leave the ship, you must take Zaalbar with you. Be sure to speak to him before you head out.

Head to the Czerka office and speak to everyone there to get some backstory. Head down the path and you'll encounter some kinraths. Kill them and keep going.

You'll also find a group of Czerka employees standing around a dead Wookie. Kill them and loot an ID card. Later on you'll find a supply station terminal, use it and use the Czerka ID get some items.

You may encounter three dark Jedi here, depending on the order in which you visit the various planets.

Speak to the wookie guard and he'll take you to Grrrwahrr, the wookie leader.

  1. If you've made deals with slavers, the truth will get out eventually.
  2. What do you want? Why drag us here?
  3. I would not abandon Zaalbar to you.
  4. He's standing against you. The first of many, maybe?
  5. I won't do this. Do your own dirty work.
  6. I need Zaalbar with me as a guide.
  7. Who are you talking about, Zaalbar?
  8. Don't listen, Zaalbar. It's not worth it.

Now head over to Woorwill and speak to him:

  1. I'm (name). I'm here with Chuundar's permission.
  2. I go where I want. You'll do as I say.
  3. Quiet you, I'm talking to this one.
  4. Who was Rorworr?
  5. When did Rorworr go missing?
  6. Go over who Rorworr was again.
  7. Goodbye

Head down to the elevator to the lower level.

At the bottom of the elevator you will encounter Calo Nord, if you haven't faced him yet. If you have defeated him on one of the other planets you'll only have to deal with some local animals.

Fight your way through the swamp until you meet Jolee. Speak with him, then follow him when he asks you. Ask him about the starmap, then he'll ask you to help him drive off the Czerka corporation.

Leave and head northeast. You should encounter the corpse of Rorworr. On his body you'll find a datapad and a boltcaster casing.

Find the group of Czerka men. Speak to them and they'll offer you a job hunting Tachs. If you like, you can accept and kill a Tach for its gland. You can give it to Mission's brother later on for that side quest. Come back and ask about the sonic emitters. Use force persuade to get them to tell you how to shut them down. Now go to the emitter and shut it down. A monster will scare off the Czerka men, but it won't attack you. Head in the direction the monster came and you'll come to a force field. Inspect the force field and return to Jolee.

Speak to him and he'll join your party.

Find the broken droid and pick up some quest items from it.

Go back to the force field and go through it.

Inside you'll encounter a wookie named Grrrwahrr. He was wounded by some invisible Mandalorians, and asks you to kill them. They will only attack you if you are unarmed. To lure them out, unequip your weapons and start walking around. Keep wandering until you're attacked by Mandalorians. On one of their bodies you'll get a device that summons their swoop bikes. Use it, then activate a device on the bikes to summon the Mandalorian leader. Kill him too.

In your wandering you may also find Freyyr, the wookie that Grrrwahrr asked you to kill. You'll have to fight Freyyr until he submits, then speak to him:

  1. I'm not here to kill you. Just listen!
  2. Do you know Zaalbar and Chuundar?
  3. My name is (name). I came with Kashyyyk with Zaalbar.
  4. No, he follows me because of a life-debt.
  5. Go over exactly what happened with Zaalbar.
  6. So Zaalbar was exiled. When did you learn the truth?
  7. Well, what happens now?
  8. How? Everyone is on his side.
  9. Where might I find it?
  10. Describe the creature. Where can I find it?
  11. I will try to find it. Can you give me any direction?

He'll ask you to kill a monster in order to recover a blade. First you'll have to lure it out. To do this you'll need to kill an animal and use it as bait. Then head to the south, to a dead end. Here you'll find a vine that is targetable. Attach the bait to a vine and the monster will appear. Kill it and recover the blade.

Now find the old computer. You'll have to answer questions to access the information. If you give a dark side answer you'll get dark side points. If you give a light side answer you'll get light side points, but you'll also be attacked by some droids. Either way you'll get the star map.

Now head back to the basket you used to get down into the shadowlands. There you'll encounter Gorwooken, who will attack you. Defeat him and head up the basket. At the top you'll be taken to the chief.

Talk to Jaarak and say:

  1. Do you recognize this bowcaster bolt casing?
  2. I found it on Rorworr's corpse.You killed him, didn't you?
  3. Can you explaiin why your bowcaster casing was found on his body?
  4. Rorworr was dealing with the slavers.I found his datapad.

Now speak to Worroznor. Follow the dialogue options. For lightside points ask that Jaarak's life be spared.

You can now head back to the Ebon Hawk and head to the next planet.

Leviathan

When you try to travel to your fourth planet, you'll be ambushed and taken to the Leviathan. Before you leave for the fourth planet, be sure you do the following:

  • Finish up any quests you have on Dantoone. You won't be able to go there after the Leviathan level. This includes dropping off the little girl for the "strange stowaway" quest.
  • Speak to Carth. You'll want to explore all the dialogue options you have with him because he'll have an important plot point in this level, and you can't return to this level once you leave.

You will then have to select one of your party members other than your main character to control. Use this party member to free the rest of the party. Which character you select effects how you're going to rescue the rest of your party. Juhani hides on the ship and starts there. She uses here stealth to fight her way to the prison cells. Mission steals a key and uses it to free herself.

Next you'll get a scene with dialogue. Your character is being interrogated by Saul Karath. Respond however you like.

Use your free character to locate and free your other characters. Once your main character is free, be sure to pick up your equipment from the nearby locker. You may have to use a stealth generator to sneak by a group of sith guards, depending on which character freed you.

Now head for the bridge to open the hangar bay boor. Go to the elevator and select "bridge."

On the command deck find the spacesuit.

Head out the airlock and back inside. Open the hangar door. Head back to the bridge. Make sure Carth is in your party.

Saul Karath, focus on the Dark Jedi, then Saul.

After the fight convince Carth not to kill Saul. Open the hangar bay doors. Head back to the hangar. You'll have to fight your way down. Save before you leave the command deck.

On the way to the hangar you'll encounter Darth Malak. You'll get a cut scene with some backstory. Then you'll have to fight him. Part way through the battle, he'll put you in a stasis field and retreat one room. Heal up and follow him. You'll have to fight him again. Again the battle will be interrupted, this time by Bastila. She will fight Malak while you run for the ship.

As you escape, you'll have another mini-game where you're shooting down fighters, just like the escape from Taris.

After this level Dantoeene is locked to you. Bastila will not be available as a party member for the rest of the game.

Korriban

Bastila (if she's in your party) won't venture out on this planet for fear of being discovered by the Sith. You'll probably want to take Carth with you, it will move his character quest forward.

The Sith Academy

Your plan to find the star map on this world involves joining the Sith academy. Once there must gain prestige with the Sith teachers in order to take a final test.

Exit the hangar. You'll come across a group of Sith students harassing some Sith Academy hopefuls. Use the dialogue options to either convince the students to let the hopefuls go (for Light Side points), or hurt them for Dark Side points.

Continue on and you'll be harassed by a group of Sith students. To avoid a fight chose:

  1. I don't think there's any need for hostilities.
  2. I'm not looking for trouble, but I'm not here to amuse you.

Head over to the Sith Academy entrance. Speak to the guard and he'll tell you that you need a medallion to get in. Then speak to the three Sith hopefuls outside. Try to convince them to give up trying to get in. Only one of them can be saved.

Check out the cantina. Here you'll find Yuthura Ban. She'll only be available to speak to if you've first spoken to the guard at the Sith Academy entrance. Say the following:

  1. Why did you call me Jedi?
  2. Are you Yuthura Ban?
  3. Why would I want to join the Sith?
  4. A lot of the hopefuls here end up dead. That doesn't seem glorious.
  5. And what about the Jedi?
  6. You don't consider yourself evil?
  7. But you serve the dark side of the Force, don't you?
  8. But the dark side is evil, it corrupts...
  9. And where does Darth Malak fit into all this?
  10. You kill each other?
  11. I see.About joining you...
  12. Yes.I want to join the Sith.
  13. No, I don't know what you're talking about.
  14. [Persuade/Lie] Yes, it does.I wish to become a Sith.
  15. They are slaves.Don't worry about them.
  16. Yes, I am.

The other way to do it is to kill a Sith student and take a medallion from him or her. Bring the medallion to Yuthura.

You'll be taken to the Sith Academy. Here you'll speak to Master Uthar and be accepted as a Sith student. Your new goal is to gain prestige by doing quests. When you have enough prestige you can do the final test, which is held in the same area that has the starmap.

You'll end up in a dorm room. Grab the dark Jedi robe, and leave. Speak to Yuthura again.

  1. Your favorite prospect?
  2. Do I have a choice?
  3. What's so important about this tomb?
  4. You want me to kill Master Uthar?
  5. What's to stop me from telling him about this?
  6. And what's your part in this?
  7. How do I know this isn't some test?
  8. Forget it. I don't want to be a part of this.
  9. How do I get more prestige?
  10. Can you tell me about the Code of the Sith?

She'll give you the Code of the Sith, which you'll need later.

You'll also find Dustil Onasi. Speaking to him is part of Carth's character quest.

You'll have to convince him to leave the Sith before you finish this level. Next speak to Master Uthar

  1. How do I gain prestige?
  2. Where is this valley?
  3. I have something to tell you about Yuthura.
  4. She wants me to help her kill you at the final trial.
  5. I know the Code of the Sith.

Code of the Sith

  1. Peace is a Lie, there is only Passion.
  2. Through Passion I gain strength.
  3. Strength Gives me power.
  4. Through power I achieve victory.
  5. Through victory my chains are broken.
  6. The Force shall set me free.

He'll then ask you a question:

  • There is nothing worse than love: False
  • Victory by any means necessary is desirable: False
  • It is our passion that fuels the Force: True

Return to Yuthura and respond:

  1. I have some news about Uthar...
  2. He plans to have me fight you in the final test.
  3. [Persuade/Lie] No, of course not.
  4. [Lie] No, that's it.

As you enter the Valley of the Dark Lords, you'll be attacked by one of Darth Malak's Dark Jedi. Which one attacks you depends on the order of the planets you've vistited.

  4. And you're not?
  5. Well, how did you mean it, then?

The Final Test

When you have enough prestige, you'll enter your final test, which happens to be in the same place as the star map you're looking for. To begin the test, speak to Uthar. He'll tell you if you have enough prestige to take the final test. If you do, and you agree to take the test, all of the unfinished quests in the academy will be abandoned. You won't be able to come back to them, so be sure that you've done all of the quests you want before continuing.

The test is to make your way through the tomb, and get a ceremonial lightsaber.

Go through the door and kill the two Terentatek's. You can either fight them, or use stealth to get around them.

Grab the poison blade. Then pick up the fire grenade and the ice grenade. Continue on to the acid pool. Throw the ice grenade into it to freeze it. You can now walk over it. Get the starmap and the Sith Lightsaber.

Head back and you'll encounter Uthar and Yuthura. You can kill both of them if you want. If you want light side points, side with Yuthura. You'll have to attack Uthar. Then try to convince Yuthura to go back to the Light Side.

On your way back through the Sith Academy, all of the students will be hostile to you, so you'll have to fight your way back to the ship.

Act Three

At this point, you know about the Star Forge and where it is. Be careful, however because once you leave for the Star Forge the other areas in the game will be closed off for the remainder of the game. Make sure you've completed all the side quests and seen all the things you find interesting before leaving. Stock up on medpacks or whatever else you may need. Be extra sure to save your game before you leave for the Star Forge.

This level starts with a Ebon Hawk turret mini-game.

Mystery World

This planet is also known as Rakata Prime.

You have two missions on this planet. The first is to repair the hyperdrive. The second is to enter the temple and shut off the planetary shield, which will allow you to leave.

Hyperdrive

The repair parts are on the south beach. You must navigate through the mine field to get to the parts. Take them back to the Ebon Hawk and fix the hyperdrive.

Unlocking the Temple

Once the hyperdrive is fixed, you'll have a choice to make. There are two factions on the planet, either one of them can let you into the temple you need to access.

North leads to the Rakatan settlement and "The One." South leads to the Elder settlement.

The One

This is the easier of the two options.

Go north. You'll be greeted by the Rakatans who will take you to their settlement to speak to "The One." He will ask you to recover an artifact from the Elder settlement. After the conversation you can open the containers nearby and take whatever you want.

Head south to the Elder settlement. When you come to the energy pillars, you'll be spoken to by a hologram. If you respond incorrectly to the dialogue, you'll be killed. The correct answer is:

  1. Who are you?
  2. I am Revan

You will be taken to talk to the Elder council. At this time you can side with the Elders and help them. If you chose to do this, skip down to the "The Elders" walkthrough below.

If you want to stay on the side of "The One," tell the Elders you were sent by "The One" and they will attack you. Kill everyone in the settlement and find the book. Give it to "The One."

The Elders

Head south.

When you come to the energy pillars, you'll be spoken to by a hologram. If you respond incorrectly to the dialogue, you'll be killed. The correct answer is:

  1. Who are you?
  2. I am Revan

You will be taken inside and you'll speak to the council. You can use the following dialogue:

  1. I spoke to you once before? What did I want?
  2. I'm sorry. I have no memory of our last meeting.
  3. My mind was destroyed, all my memories were lost. It changed me. I am not who I once was.
  4. [Persuade] I am a servant of the light now. I want to make amends for the mistakes of the past.
  5. [Persuade] The One wanted me to kill you, but I have come here peacefully.
  6. [Persuade] I cannot prove what is in my heart. I only ask you judge me by my actions.
  7. How can I prove that?
  8. Maybe I can negotiate with the One to release your hostage.
  9. So if I save the prisoner you'll help me?
  10. I'll be back after I rescue that prisoner!

Explore around and you'll be able to help yourself to the contents of the wicker baskets. Find Ll'awa the Researcher and you'll get the Rakatan Research quest. You must now go to the the Rakatan Settlement. You'll have to fight your way through to the center of the settlement. Here you'll encounter "The One," who will order his Rancors to attack you. Fight, fight and fight some more. Finally when everything is dead, find and release the hostage. Return to the Elder settlement and they will agree to meet you at the temple.

The Temple

By agreement you're only supposed to show up at the temple alone, so do so. But when you arrive Jolee and Juhani will appear and ask to join you. Ask the faction you're working with to allow them to join you. They will agree. This is the game's way of forcing you to take Jolee and Juhani with you into the temple.

Enter the temple and fight your way to the stairs that lead down.

Tile puzzle solution.
Tile puzzle solution.

You'll encounter a tile puzzle. You must make all the tiles in the 10 tile grid turn white by walking on them. Refer to the diagram for the solution to the puzzle.

In the next room, ask the computer how to get to the top of the temple. You can also ask for information on Rancor genetic data if you have the Rakatan Research quest.

At the top of the temple you'll encounter Bastila. You must now make the most important Light Side/Dark Side decision of the game.

Light Side Keep trying to convince Bastila to come back to the light side. You'll fight her, then she will flee.

Dark Side Join Bastila. Agree to seize the role of Dark Lord from Malak. You will then have to fight and kill Jolee and Juhani. When you get back to the Ebon Hawk, you'll have to kill Mission.

Either way, turn off the planetary shield and return to the Ebon Hawk.

Optional Quests

Invisible Mandalorians

Rakatan Research

Star Forge

When you get to the Star Forge you'll find Jedi there. They will attack the Sith. You can stay and fight with the Jedi, or move on into the Star Forge.

Like Endar Spire at the beginning of the game, there really is only one way to go. There is a point where the path spilts, but both paths go to the same place. Just keep fighting through the Star Forge.

You can make a Star Forge Jedi robe, if you have enough computer spikes. If you do have the spikes, you might as well get the robe. This terminal is the last place in the game where you can use spikes, so don't save any.

At the command center you'll either fight (Dark Side) some Sith Apprentices or (Light Side) Bastila. If you're fighting Bastila, convince her to come back to the Light Side. She will then join your party.

Save the game, and continue on to the final battle.

Darth Malak

Darth Malak is the final battle of the game. Use your best shields and any stims you have.

Malak is a hard fight, but his real power is his ability to heal himself. He does this by draining the life force from the Jedi he has held in stasis chambers around the room. When he gets down to half of his health, he goes to one of these chambers and uses a very powerful Drain Life ability to fully heal himself. To defeat Malak, you must destroy these chambers. This will kill the Jedi inside, but you will not get Dark Side points. The only way to destroy the chambers is with a force ability like throw lightsaber or drain life. Blasters or grenades don't work. If you don't have a ranged force ability, the only way to defeat Malak is to go back to a previously saved game, level up, and choose a ranged force ability.

When the battle begins, ignore Malak and run around the room. Use throw lightsaber to destroy the chambers. If you have it, use a speed ability. This will allow you to destroy the chambers faster, and stay away from Malak at the same time.

Once you've destroyed all the chambers, you can now fight Malak. It's still a hard fight.

If you need an edge against Malak, you can use mines against him. When you enter Malak's room you'll see a bridge, and Malak himself on the far side. The cut scene doesn't start until you get to the far side. You can, if you want, lay mines on the bridge before you speak to Malak. During the fight you can run onto the bridge and he'll follow. The mines won't kill Malak, but they will do a significant amount of damage.

Once Malak is dead you'll have won the game.
