Top Secret Area

One of the most useful secrets in Super Mario World, is the infamous "Top Secret Area". This area allows you to get two mushrooms, two fire flowers/cape feathers and a yoshi/1 ups, all free of charge whenever you like as many times as you like. Getting there is quite simple. After completing Donut Plains 2, head back to Donut Plains 1 and pick up a cape feather. You can either complete the level again with a cape, or back out of the level after receiving one. Afterwards, head up to the Donut Ghost House. Enter the level and head all the way to the right until you reach the gap in the floor. Turn back around and sprint towards where you started. Just before you reach the wall, jump and keep holding left. You should glide up the wall through a hole in the ceiling. Once you pass through, sprint to the other side avoiding the ghosts, drop down the pit, grab the three 1-up mushrooms if you wish and exit through the door. When you get back out to the map a new land mass will form right above Donut Plains Ghost House. And there you go, you have successfully unlocked the Top Secret Area!
