Overview/Strategies
Zelda and Shiek have made some small and large changes from their Melee counterparts. Zelda's Din's Fire is fast and stronger, her aerial attacks are, generally weaker (unless they hit the opponent just right, in which case they're stronger), and her speed has picked up a bit. Zelda's sole projectile attack, Din's Fire, is a little hard to master, since you have to hold down the Special Move button and release it to make it useful, but the knockback it offers is worth the trouble. Speaking of knockback, all her Smashes offer huge knockback. Her Standard Special Move, Nayru's Love, deals a good amount of damage if all the hits connect. Conversely, Sheik's moves have generally gone down in the knockback department. She's still one of the very fastest characters in the game, and her attacks can be delivered with very little lag. That said, she's very weak, her Smash Attacks noticebly so. Using Zelda and Sheik is all about your style of playing Brawl, as well as knowing your opponent; if they're fast you may want to use Sheik to keep up with them, but if you prefer larger damage percentages in your attacks, Zelda is clearly the way to go.
