Aeon Units are lighter and faster than their counterparts in other factions. Aeon units tend to have an advantage on water maps.

Armored Command Units (ACUs) are the centerpiece of any force in Supreme Commander. In most games, if a player's ACU is destroyed, they automatically lose the battle. For this reason, even though they have high armor and firepower, they are usually held back from front line combat.

ACUs also act as production units. They are vital to creating other economic units at the start of a battle.
