Economic Buildings

Mass Extractor

Mass Extractors are the backbone of your economy. They are the cheapest way to get needed mass, and the most reliable long term way of getting it. They can upgrade themselves by clicking on the next tier symbol when you have the appropriate tier factory. They can only be built on mass sources, seen on the map as a mass symbol.

All factions' mass extractors have the same stats.

Tier 1

Power Generator

Power generators create energy, which is needed to build and run units. All factions' power generators have the same stats.

Hydrocarbon Power Plant

These power plants are only available at tier 1. They produce much more power than standard generators, but can only be built on hydrocarbon deposits (lighting bolt symbol on the map). All factions' power generators have the same stats.

Energy and Mass Storage

These buildings allow you to store energy or mass from good times so you can use it when your resource production / use ratio is negative. They are only available at tier 1. Build them next to factories, power generators, or mass production buildings for a production bonus. All factions' energy and mass storage buildings have the same stats.

Mass Fabricator

Mass fabricators take energy and produce mass. They become necessary when you've fully developed all mass extraction points. Mass fabricators require huge amounts of energy, so be sure you have plenty of power to operate them. One advantage of a fabricator is you can turn it on or off to suit your mass and energy needs. If you have energy but no mass, turn them on. If you're low on energy, shut them off. They are only available at tiers 1 and 3. All factions' mass fabricators have the same stats.

Factory Buildings

Factories are built by your ACU or engineers. Once built, they upgrade themselves by putting the next tier factory in their build queue. You can speed up construction by assigning engineers to assist the factory.

All factories can build engineers.

Quantum Gateway

Quantum Gateways are built by tier 3 engineers. Their only purpose is to summon Support Command Units. Because they are summoned, rather than built, engineers cannot reduce the time it takes to get an SCU.
