A Taste of Flame

  • Region: Burning Steppes
  • Questgiver: Cyrus Therepentous in Slither Rock
  • Faction: both
  • XP: 7900
  • Level Requirement: 54
  • Objective: Show Cyrus Therepentous proof of your worth. You have the feeling the Cyrus already knows that you are unworthy.


The item you must bring him is a Black Dragonflight Molt. There are two ways to get this item. The first is to complete the quest chain Divine Retribution. The other is to speak to Cyrus again and he will summon a Frenzied Black Drake. You must defeat it, and it will drop the molt.


A Taste of Flame

  • Objective: Travel to Blackrock Depths and Slay Bael'Gar. Remember to use the Altered Black Dragonflight Molt on Bael'Gar's remains to capture the Fiery Essence.
  • Rewards: 2 gold 65 silver and choice of:
    • Shaleskin Cape (Back, green, 38 Armor, +11 Stamina, +6 Agility.)
    • Wyrmhide Spaulders (Shoulder, Leather, green, 113 armor, Equip: Increases you hit rating by 20.)
    • Valconian Sash (Waist, Cloth, green, 42 Armor, +4 Stamina, +17 Intellect
