The Elwynn Forest is an Alliance region in the Eastern Kingdoms of Azeroth. As the starting zone for human characters, it is often a player's introduction to World of Warcraft.

Transportation

Roads connect Elwynn Forest with the Redridge Mountains to the east, Westfall to the west, and Stormwind to the northwest. The roads in Elwynn Forest are patrolled by Stormwind Guards.

The nearest flightmaster to the Elwynn Forest is located in the capital city of Stormwind. There are also flightmasters in Darkshire, to the southeast of the forest, and Lakeshire to the east.

Large parts of Duskwood are easily accessible from the Elwynn Forest by swimming the river between the two areas.

Towns and Settlements

Stormwind is a capital city located to the northwest of the Elwynn Forest. It has vendors, trainers, and a bank, auction house and a flight master.

Goldshire

Goldshire is the largest settlement in Elwynn Forest proper. Located just south of Stormwind and Northshire Abbey, it serves as most adventurers' base of operations while exploring the forest.

Across the road from the inn is the smithy. Inside are armorers who can repair equipment.

The road between these two buildings often serves as an unofficial meeting place for players. Many players use this area for duels, so it's a great place to go if you're looking for a friendly fight.

The traveling Darkmoon Faire sometimes sets up in a field just south of Goldshire.

Lion's Pride Inn

The largest building in Goldshire is the Lion's Pride Inn. Here not only can you find a place to rest, but also an assortment of trainers. There are trainers for Mages, Paladins, Priests, Rogues, Warlocks, and Warriors. There is also a cooking trainer named Tomas in the kitchen.

There are no instances in this area. The two closest are The Deadmines in Westfall, and The Stockades in Stormwind.
