Ironforge is the Dwarven capital located in the mountains of Dun Morogh. It is perhaps the most popular of Alliance cities; there are always large crowds of players in the Commons, and its a common meeting place for groups or trading.

Contents

The Commons

The Commons is not only the entrance to Ironforge, but it is also the most popular area in the city. On one side of the square is the Auction House, and the other side is home to the Ironforge Bank. Between the two is a popular gathering area for players of all levels. At any given time you'll see players gathering up into groups, dueling, trading, or even having guild meetings.

Deeprun Tram

The Deeprun Tram connects Ironforge to Stormwind. Trams leave every few minutes and quickly transport characters to the southern terminal where they can disembark into the Dwarven District of Stormwind.

In the Ironforge terminal, you'll find Monty, a Gnome pirate who gives out the quest Deeprun Rat Roundup.

Forlorn Cavern

The Forlorn Cavern is on the north part of Ironforge's outer ring. Here you'll find Rogue trainers, Warlock trainers, Warlock demon trainers, and a fishing trainer. You'll also find an underground lake that allows fishing.

The Great Forge

At the center of Ironforge is the Great Forge. It is not only a smithing area, but also a popular meeting point.

Around the Great Forge are a variety of shops and vendors. The Gryphon Master is also in this area.

Tinker Town

Home to the Gnomes of Ironforge. Here you can find Engineering and Alchemy trainers. Tinker Town also holds the entrance to Deep Run Tram.
