A World of Warcraft Quest


The Raene's Cleansing quest chain. This chain takes place in the Ashenvale Forest.

Contents

Part 1

  • Questgiver: Raene Wolfrunner in Astraanar
  • Objective: Find Teronis' Corpse

Teronis' corpse is on an island in a lake east of Meastra's Post.

Part 2

  • Objective: Find the Glowing Gem and return to Raene Wolfrunner in Astranaar with Teronis' Journal.
  • Turn in to: Raene Wolfrunner in Astraanar

The gem drops off nearby Murlocs. It is a random drop, so just keep killing them until you find it.

Part 3

  • Objective: Find Shael'dryn at the moonwell to the northeast.

Part 4

  • Objective: Find the wooden key, and use it on the chest to recover a piece of the rod.
  • XP: 2200
  • +250 rep with Darnassus

Part 5

  • Questgiver: Shael'dryn, the Moonwell
  • Objective: get the second piece of the rod
  • XP: 2300 at level 25

The rod drops off slimes, east of the road near the Splintertree post.

Part 6

  • Questgiver: Shael'dryn, the Moonwell
  • Objective: Find the hidden Shrine and re-enchant Dartol's Rod
  • The shrine is located inside a tree, at 56, 49.
  • XP: 1700 at level 26
  • +150 rep with Darnassus

Part 7

  • Return to Shael'dryn at the moonwell.
  • XP 230 at level 26
  • +25 rep with Darnassus

Part 8

  • Return to Raene Wolfrunner in Astranaar
  • XP 230
  • +25 rep with Darnassus

Part 9

  • Objective: Find an uncorrupted furbolg and using the power of Dartol's Rod...
  • XP: 1700 at level 26
  • +150 rep with Darnassus

The furbolg (named Krolg) is located on the south side of the Lake Mystral, near the Silverwing Refuge. He is at the top of the waterfall. You must use the rod to transform yourself into a furblog before you speak to him.

Some players choose to stop perusing the quest chain at this point so that they can keep the rod. This lets them change into a furbolg whenever they like. Note that you must keep the quest in your quest log to keep the rod. If you abandon the quest, you will lose the rod.

Part 10

  • Questgiver: Krolg, on the south side of the lake
  • Objective: Kill Ran Bloodtooth and 4 Bloodtooth Gurads and return to Krolg near lake Mystral.
  • XP: 2450 at level 26
  • +250 rep with Darnassus

The Bloodtooth are located to the southeast of Krolg (55, 79)

Part 11

  • Questgiver: Krolg
  • Return to Raene Wolfrunner
  • Rewards: Ring of Pure Silver and choice of Glacial Stone (mace) or Gutterblade (axe).
  • XP: 3050 at level 26
  • +350 rep with Darnassus
