The Scourge Cauldrons
- Questgiver: Commander Ashlam Valorfist, in Chillwind Camp
Objective: Speak with High Priestess MacDonnell in Chillwind Point.
- XP: 750
- Rep: +10 with Stormwind
- Faction: Alliance
MacDonnell is just a few feet away, so you may want to do this quest even if you don't plan on doing the rest of the chain.
Target: Felstone Field
- XP: 7600
- Rep: +250 with Stormwind, +500 with Argent Dawn
- Objective: Go to Felstone Field in Western Plaguelands to locate and defeat the Cauldron Lord present there. It may have a key that will allow access to the cauldron. You must have the Empty Felstone Field Bottle with you to secure a sample of the poisons used inside the cauldron.
Felstone Field is located northwest of Andorhal. Most of the undead near the cauldron are levels 50 to 51. The key drops off Cauldron Lord Bilemaw, a level 53 undead. Clicking on the cauldron with the key completes the quest.
Return to Chillwind Camp

- XP: 3800
- Rep: +75 with Stormwind, +150 with Argent Dawn
- Objective: Bring the Filled Felstone Field Bottle to High Pristess MacDonnell at Chillwind Camp, Western Plaguelands.
Target: Dalson's Tears
- XP: 8150
- Rep: +250 with Stormwind, +500 with Argent Dawn
- Objective: Go to Dalson's Tears in Western Plaguelands to locate and defeat the Cauldron Lord present there, and use its key to gain access to the cauldron. You must have the Empty Dalson's Tears Bottle with you to secure a sample of the poisons used inside the cauldron.
Dalson's Tears is located north of Andorhal and east of Felstone Field. Most of the mobs around the cauldorn are levers 53 or 54. The key drops off of Cauldorn Lord Malvinious (level 55).
Return to Chillwind Camp
- Objective: Bring the Filled Dalson's Tears bottle to High Priestess MacDonnell at Chillwind Camp.
- XP: 4050
- Reward: 85 silver
- Rep: +75 with Stormwind, +150 with Argent Dawn
Target: Writhing Haunt
- Objective: Go to Writhing Haunt, defeat the Cauldron Lord there, use his key to access the cauldron.
- XP: 8150
- Rep: +250 with Stormwind, +500 with Argent Dawn
The mobs around the cauldron are levels 54 to 56. The freezing ghouls are have a high resistance to frost attacks. The key is held by Cauldron Lord Razarch, a level 56 undead.
Return to Chillwind Camp
- Reward: 85 silver
- XP: 4050
- Rep: +75 with Stormwind, +150 with Argent Dawn
Target: Gahrron's Withering
- Objective: Got to Gahrron's Withering in Western Plaguelands to locate and defeat the Cauldron Lord present there, and use its key to gain access to the cauldron.
- XP: 9000
- Rep: +250 with Stormwind, +500 with Argent Dawn
The undead surrounding this cauldron are levels 56 to 57. The key drops off Cauldron Lord Soulwrath, a level 58 undead. The cauldorn is located at (62, 59).
Return to Chillwind Camp
- XP: 4500
- Reward: 90 silver
- Rep: +75 with Stormwind, +150 with Argent Dawn
Mission Accomplished!
- Objective: Speak to Commander Ashlam Valorfist, just a few feet away
- XP: 13500
- Rep: +500 with Alliance, +1000 with Argent Dawn
- Rewards: Heroic Commendation (neck, green, +12 stamina, +5 spirit) and choice of:
- Valiant Shortsword (one-hand, green, 50-95 damage, speed 2.1, 34.5 DPS, +11 intellect)
- Intrepid Shortsword (one-hand, green, 50-95 damage, speed 2.1, 34.5 DPS, +11 stamina)
A few days after you've completed this quest, you'll get a letter from Commander Valorfist thanking you for your help.
