Terestian Illhoof is an optional boss in Karazhan. He is a satyr warlock that is hiding out in a hidden section of Karazhan's Library. He is accompanied by an imp minion. When attacked, he will summon an army of imps forth to protect himself.

Strategy

Illhoof is a fight that pretty much demands your raid has a warlock. Throughout the fight, imps will pour out of a few summoning portals. These imps need to be pretty consistently aoe'd to death. The easiest way to accomplish this is by using a warlock to chain cast seed of corruption on Illhoof. Two warlocks casting soc on Illhoof will be more then enough to handle the imps. With only 1, you may need some additional aoe if the imps stack up too much.

The MT will handle Illhoof. You OT should handle Illhoof's imp minion, Kil'rek. When Kil'rek dies, Illhoof gets a debuff that increases damage taken by 25%. Kil'rek will revive after a short period of time allowing him to be killed again to debuff Illhoof. The trick is to hold off on killing Kil'rek until after Illhoof has tried to sacrifice a player.

Illhoof's sacrifice is the major trick to the fight. Every so often, Illhoof will wrap a player in demonic chains in the middle of the room. The player will then loose life and Illhoof will gain life. The sacrificed player needs to be healed during the sacrifice. All DPS needs to focus on the Demonic Chains and burn them down quickly to release the sacrificed player. Leaving players in the chains for too long results in Illhoof regening significant amounts of health and can of course lead to player death. A macro to /target demon can help in quickly switching targets to the chains. With all the little imps running around it can be hard to click on the chains.

When the chains are done, focus on Kil'rek if he's alive. When Kil'rek dies, nuke Illhoof hard to take advantage of the temporary damage increase.

Due to Illhoof regaining health on the sacrifice, this can be a long and mana intensive fight. Just keep at it and Illhoof will eventually die.
