A World of Warcraft Quest

The Pools of Aggonar

  • Region: Hellfire Peninsula
  • Faction: Alliance
  • Questgiver: Amaan the Wise, at the Temple of Telhamat
  • Objective: Amaan the Wise wants you to go to the Pools of Aggonar and slay 6 Terrorfiends and 6 Blistering Rots.
  • XP: 10050
  • Rep: +250 with Exodar

This quest can be done at the same time as Heart of Darkness. Both require killing Terrorfiends, and a single Terrorfiend counts for both quests.


Cleansing the Waters

  • Objective: Amaan the Wise wants you to travel to the Pools of Aggonar and use the Cleansing Vial at Aggonar's corpse. Return to him when Aggonar's essence is cleansed from the water.
  • XP: 10050
  • Rep: +250 with Exodar
  • Rewards: choice of:
    • Telhamat Pendant (neck, green, +10 intellect, +10 stamina, Equip: Increases damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by up to 21.)
    • Demonslayer's Wristguards (wrist, leather, green, 96 armor, +12 Agility, +18 Stamina, Equip: Increases attack power by 26.)
    • Amaan's Signet (finger, green, +18 Strength, +15 Stamina, Equip: Improves hit rating by 7.)


When you use the cleansing vial, you'll be attacked by a level 63 demon by the name of Aggonis. Make sure the area is clear before you use the vial. The patch of ground where you've supposed to use the vial isn't marked very well, look for the dirt that looks a little different from the rest of the small strip of land in front of the corpse.
