Vexallus is an arcane void wraith and the second boss of Magister's Terrace.

Strategy

This fight is very much about controlling the adds. Vexallus will, throughout the battle, summon up arcane sparks called Pure Energy. These adds must be killed quickly as they cast a nasty arcane bolt. The adds have low health so killing them isn't very hard. The trick, however, is that upon death each Pure Energy afflicts their killer with Energy Feedback. This is a stackable buff/debuff. Each stack inflicts 300 damage per second and increases damage done by 50%. This can quickly become a large amount of incoming damage. After a player gets 5 stacks or so, it may be best for another player to take over on the adds.

Vexallus will also be casting chain lightning at random party members. Its important to be spread out to prevent the spell from arcing.

Once Vexallus drops to 10% health, he'll go into a type of enrage. He'll begin spam casting an aoe that inflict 1000 arcane damage and stacks a debuff that increases arcane damage taken by 10%. Its important to burn Vexallus down at this point before the damage becomes too much to heal through.

Healing is very important during this fight as the entire party is likely to take damage. Its key to keep the player's that receive Energy Feedback alive. The increase to damage from Energy feedback should help quickly kill Vexallus.
